I had been a client many years ago & I only called to find out the hours of the business. I spoke on the phone with Kim who gave me "fantastic " customer service! As it turned out, the Zimmelman family no longer owned this business and there were new protocols...(whereby it was suggested to send photos of the item prior to coming in...to get a preliminary appraisal of sorts.) Kim was extremely patient, polite and professional. In fact, I got stuck in a little traffic and I called her on her cell phone and she was kind enough to notify the business that I was running a little late for our appointment. Once I arrived for my appointment...(12 minutes late), I received amazing customer service from Katie and Israel. Katie was charming and had been employed at this company for a little while so she knew some of the people I used to work with & it was fun sharing some memories with her. Israel...the Director of Client Engagement...was extremely patient in explaining the entire transaction to me. He was very professional, and also very friendly. First of all, I rarely post a review. Beverly Loan Co. deserves every 5 star review they have received and every one after that. I am giving my review because Eleanor and Dan are exceptional people who took their time with me and really examined my jewelry that I needed a loan on. This isn't some crap pawn shop that gets their loop out , looks at your jewelry for a few seconds and offers waaaay less than what is fair. I was offered more money than I was hoping for my jewelry !! What!? I was so very happy!! The nicest people... even if I was offered a little less than what I needed, I would still give them 5+ stars. Like I said, this isn't some crap pawn shop.. Had a loan from this wonderful establishment and sometimes it would slip my mind to go in and make the payment. These guys were nice enough to give me a call to make sure I didnt lose my collateral. Most places would just let it lapse and be more than happy to have your collateral. Everyone there is extremely nice and knowledgable. So much in fact that you dont feel like you are in a "pawn shop" at all. One thing to note, as I stated above, this is not a "Pawn Shop" you will not have to make monthly interest payments, you will have at least 90 days to pay in full and retrieve your items. I drove all over town for three days straight and had some of the WORST experiences! I was trying to get rid of a gold ring that had emerald and diamonds and every single place I went to would only offer me $150 MAX. I finally found this place and they offered $275! The fees to get the jewelry back out is also really great. You have four months and it will only cost an additional $25. Above all this, this place is seriously FIRST CLASS. I felt comfortable, the man that helped us was extremely nice and I felt that I could trust them 100%. Before I came here, the only thing I knew about a 'pawn shop' was what I saw in the movies or on tv. Some seedy little shop in a strip mall. Shady characters hanging around in the parking lot. Feeling cheap and dirty. Beverly Loan is the exact opposite of that. It's in Beverly Hills in the Bank of America building. There is free parking in the lot next door. The office is very nice. Everyone that works there is incredibly nice. The best part is that if your loan is due, you can call and they will give you extra time if you need it. Communication is key. As long as you stay in touch, they will always work with you. Keep in mind, this shop is more upscale. So you can't walk in with power tools and things like that. Think jewelry, watches and artwork.
