I spent more time in line waiting to check out during the holiday rush with only two check stands open. No one really helping on the floor, and an absolute lack of any sort of sense of urgency. Maybe Becmo should be paying their employees a bit more? I dunno how to fix this but will def be the last time I try shopping at any location.

(Shopped 03/03/23 FR @ 6:00pm): Beverages and more, indeed! In a frantic search for Hendrick's Gin's latest limited release gin, Flora Adora, I ended up at BevMo!'s Pasadena location because all of my usual alcohol haunts were sold out of this product. The Hendrick's brand was my favorite gin while the BevMo! Brand was one of my go-to places when I needed to stock the home bar or grabbed a random beer I'd never tried before. Recently, Total Wine & More (specifically their Pasadena location) has taken over their place. I figured BevMo! had a location in Pasadena but honestly never bothered to check until now. At the very least, did I find the beverage and maybe more of what I was looking for during this first visit!? PURCHASE Hendrick's Flora Adora Gin Limited Release 750ml Bottle ($41.99): As a marketer, the labeling itself was reason enough to buy this product, but if you were a fan of this brand and their products, you wanted to add this to your collection (yes, I collected their bottles, too!). With a floral garden aroma, this Scottish gin flourished within your nasal passage and calmly buzzed along your tongue with hints of herbs and a dash of green pastures. Casually sip on its own or simply mix with a flavored sparkling water, calm and refreshing was how you felt after a tasting. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=Uv_5O-2t05X64fFQgWgVkw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Próspero Blanco Tequila 750ml Bottle ($34.49): During the recent COVID pandemic lockdown years, I stocked my home bar with an immense assortment of liquor in order to create/make any drink I wanted, and in the process, I also tried other brands I wasn't familiar with which was the case here. Another eye-catching label, this was a relatively standard blanco tequila with hints of citrus and sweetness with a clean and fresh finish. Enjoy as a sipper, a shot, or in a cocktail. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=yFL-mkkV8CHnvbVmULmUUA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw SERVICE Although I'd never been to this location before, the general layout was usually the same across all stores, so I intuitively went to the gin section, found what I wanted, did a quick casing down all of the aisles for any impromptu items (tequila in this case), went to the cashier to settle up, and I was out quickly enough. No assistance except for the cashier which was fine with me - thank you! PARKING (FREE) They had their own private lot with both above and underground parking (I went underground). Otherwise, there also appeared to be free parking along the main drag of Foothill Blvd. - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A seemingly medium warehouse with aisles after aisles of anyone's alcohol desires all perfectly and easily labeled and organized from the floor to the ceiling along with a tasting area, and oh so much more! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=o0omX4eJx13W70hCvcwWzg&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw However, it seemed smaller than other locations I've been to. Generally an uncluttered store, it had the requisite marketing promo displays of various vendors. A decent amount of natural light came in through the front large glass windows and doors while bright electric ceiling lights and those from the parking lot and street filled the rest. There were no TVs, but music played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=d13gf7ra4bbmT4saphNIKA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Pasadena's BevMo! location was truly every adult's and drinker's wet dream that tantalized and teased you to buy and try everything, and it was a nice competitor to the nearby yet larger Total Wine & More along Colorado Blvd.. The selection was very good, the prices highly competitive due to economies of scale, and I trusted their customer service was very good. I wasn't sure if they were able to do special orders for items they didn't carry. And, if you joined their free membership, you earned points with every dollar spent towards future discounts. I found total value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $84.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS

This is the nearest location that came up my search. Crossed my finger that they'll have the wine that I was looking for. Upon entering, I was greeted with a welcoming vibe. The store is well lit and free of clutter. I asked the register clerk if they have Chocolate wine and she directed me to the aisle. She gave me a clear and concise direction. I found the Chocolate Shop wine, get 2 bottles and get 1 of the Stella Black as well. There was a little bit line to the register so they opened one more. Great!!! It was a fast and easy transaction. Limited parking in front but they have more underground.

Love this BevMo! They have everything you need to have a great time with friends - alcohol, snacks and more alcohol! This location is pretty stocked, clean and very organized! They are like a supermarket, very well labeled in the aisles. I like how bright it feels inside. They have a huge variety of everything including beer, wines, liquor, snacks, frozen meals, groceries, glasses, all types of openers & alcohol! If they don't have it, you can request they order it. One great thing they have is delivery with Gopuff! You can order more alcohol to your party when you're running out. They also have a pickup option where you order everything online and they have it bagged and ready to be picked up, super convenient! Service is great! Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Parking is convenient in their 2 level lot. Definitely recommended!

this is not to disparage that employees that work for bevmo. Bevmo actually has good products which i have bought before ' This review is a form of protest of go puff that owns bevmo throughout California i like every employee at Pasadena east. The go puff employees were really good for me i normally don't like to protest against companies but i feel this is time go puff and bevmo went too far as to how they treat their employees, especially their drivers i encourage people not to shop at go puff and bevmo because the company is going bankrupt and making a lot of false allegations against its drivers. I have been a loyal employee and driver for go puff and they basically terminated my account for allegedly not showing up to work when I was on vacation and had no shifts they accused me of not showing up last week i showed up to work 100 percent of the time if you care about the working conditions of the employees of bevmo Don't spend money on go puff Thanks for listening to my protest

    Big red soda
    Josephine C.

I haven't been to be open in a long time. On a Saturday afternoon in June, I went to look for big red and root beer bottles. As I walked inside, They now carry groceries, potato chips, frozen food, and snacks. They carry small bottles of big red and few bottles of root beer. So I bought 2 bottles of big red for hubby. No lines at the registers so I bought it right away.

Overall, our recent experiences have been solid. It's always great when an "old favorite" still feels like a good value. I miss some of the menu items like the lentil shepherd's pie, but we have very much enjoyed the hearty English breakfast. They also have a good selection of European beers on tap. Service has been friendly, but it is lightly staffed and pretty slow, so it's not a good place if you are in a hurry. They don't keep an eye on the patio, so if you sit out there, it's best to go inside and let them know. They also seem to have more rules than before - but I have to imagine these have come from experience. I don't think this is an ideal place to go with a large group. If it's a quiet night you might be able to pull tables together long-ways, but most tables seem ideal for 2-4. We come with our dog and sit on the patio when it isn't busy. The dog meals are massive (more food than ours eats in a whole day and she weighs 60 lbs). It's a good value, but beware if your dog is on a diet! Overall, my favorite thing is that genuinely feels like a pub, in that you can just come as you are and take your time without being rushed. A good fit for both locals and visitors in Pasadena.

He was far more interested in the arsenal game than he was of taking care of clients. It was clearly lots to do and yet he just sat and watched the game, simple things like giving me my check as soon as I was done with my food were ignored so that he could watch arsenal. Never before in my 20 years of coming to this bar, have I ever noticed server or employee of lucky Baldwin's paying more attention to the TVs then to the guests this was very offputting and this guy should not be there if this is how he usually operates very bad experience. QUICK TAKE Get: Fish of the Day, Lamb, Moroccan-style Mushrooms Skip: Duck was our one miss Know: This is a good place for adventurous eaters who like sharing dishes and trying unexpected flavor combinations. Holy Saints does a nice job of making food feel creative without crossing over into "trying too hard." There are a lot of different influences running through the menu, and several dishes had us talking about the flavors and ingredients as much as the food itself. What we tried: Moroccan-style Mushrooms - A great example of what Holy Saints does well. Earthy, savory mushrooms with contrasting textures from the nuts, thinly sliced radish, herbs and crispy elements on top. There was a lot happening on the plate, but it all worked together. Definitely one to share. Fish of the Day - One of the highlights of the meal and something I would absolutely order again. The fish came over rice in a deeply flavored sauce with peppers, herbs and fresh vegetables. Colorful, comforting and much more interesting than the standard fish-and-vegetables preparation you see at a lot of restaurants. Lamb - Another winner. Rich, hearty and well seasoned, with the sauce pulling everything together. If you're visiting for the first time and like lamb, this would be high on my list. Duck - Good flavor, but it seemed like the duck sauce could have benefited from a little more time to rest before being sliced and served. We joked that we should have brought a bag, taken it home and eaten it as leftovers instead. Sometimes duck might just need a night to think about what it did. What I liked most about Holy Saints is that the food wasn't boring. The kitchen takes familiar ingredients and puts them together in ways you probably wouldn't think of yourself, which makes it a fun restaurant for ordering several things and sharing around the table.

Dishes tried: - Sourdough bread and bbq butter, solid for a bread dish, butter is definitely unique, reminded me of Lay's BBQ chips in a good way - Grandma's Risotto w/ prosciutto, okay for me? Prosciutto was a supplement here and needs it imo for that oomph, otherwise a fine risotto dish but would pass unless it speaks to you - Barnyard Bolognese - a bit underwhelming to start, just too one-note for me, but it eventually grew on me and would get it again if I wanted a rich pasta - Duck Magret Au Poivre - easily my favorite dish here and what I would come back for and recommend for people, tender duck with the right amount of fat and a great sauce. Fries are a bit thicker than I would like, but still enjoyed it. - Seasonal apple pie - more of a danish if I had to describe it to someone, but nice texture and more importantly, not too sweet!

Our waiter was incredibly passive and at times it felt like we were being completely ignored. He would attend to tables around us but never checked in with us, had what seemed like a limited knowledge of the menu, and offered a half assed apology at the end of the night. The table next to us was clearly someone of importance, because they kept getting "gifted" foods, cheeses, drinks, etc. - which is fine, but only magnified our poor service. We also saw our food and beverages as well as other tables food and beverages be delivered to the wrong tables. My fiances sorbet was given to the special table next to us, but they had already had their dessert, and so the wait staff left with it and a minute later delivered it to our table melted. There was one staff member that was wonderful, and it seemed like he was a busboy who was filling in for our waiter (sorry I did not get his name) but he was very kind, personable, and would be the reason we come back, aside from the great food. There was also no acknowledgement of the special occasion we were celebrating, which is a minor thing but at other restaurants it's usually never missed and helps make for a nice experience especially when we mark that we are here celebrating an anniversary. All in all it was a disappointing experience. We may return for the food in the future, because it was excellent, but the service needs to be worked on.

Being in a party of 4 girls coming from high tea, we were dressed in elegant dresses, first comment was asking if we were coming from church, followed by eye flutters, short "okay" with an upward inflation to a joke about the day, an impatient comment about hurrying up and trying the wine while we were talking, asked for water when we were out, were left to pour the rest of our wine, didn't ask how the food was all the while was attentive to the table behind us, the cherry on top comment was when we were discussing the bill at the end, he was hovering at the table behind ours, then when we were ready, we asked to split the bill into 2, my portion on mine and the rest on another card, he then said "this isn't like a drive through, we can't do it that way" so I asked him to explain his comment, cause it was passive agressive and rude. I had to again express for him to specify how they do it cause he has still yet to explain where his attitude is coming from and explain how they do their check splits, from my understanding it just felt like he wanted to play dumb and make me to the math, one I did he was like "ohh, okay" should have asked for the manager but we paid and left, I hasnt had this experience before being a returning customer, but he needs an attitude adjustment as his attitude was completely out of pocket. Do better Manuel, you alone got your place of work a 1 star. The rest of the staff was kind, facility beautiful and food and wine was good. This restaurant is not reflected in the 1 star.
