Stopped by this BevMo while traveling ... not so much to buy something but because they advertised having a representative from an Australian brewery as part of their tasting on a Saturday morning. And what do you know, he was there, cool accent and all! Apparently, BevMo is now the sole importer for Mountain Goat Beer, based in Melbourne. It's always nice when BevMo actually does what they list on their calendar. The guy doing wine tasting had tons to say about wines and the business in general, being formerly associated with a distributor of some sort. This is not the biggest BevMo location, but it is pretty big for a liquor store. There's a small parking lot, as well as some amount of street parking. Their selection was fine by me - I didn't see much missing when wandering through the beer aisles, though they don't seem to carry a huge selection of more local SoCal breweries outside of Stone and Port. Wine and spirit selection was similar - not a lot missing that I could see. read more

Yknow what? These employees are always so helpful! I don't typically drink much and I shop for alcohol even less.... So I think I walk around here looking stupid and they assist me and answer all my questions. I appreciate them a lot. Ok, terrible Bevmo. Others are ok but this was rude and disrespectful. So I had a wedding and need to rent some tubs with ice. Well came to rent them and come to find out they wouldn't rent the tubs. I told them it's for my wedding but their response is that it is a holiday weekend and we need them for the kegs. Ok, I know they don't have a policy stating that (as I did work their before) so I told them that's not our problem. They still refused. So we bought the ice (as we had too). God awful. read more

Great selection of beers and wine but the cheese is kinda expensive here, would rather go to Fresh and Easy or Trader Joes but u can't beat the 3 dollar wine tasting every Saturday!! I had a coupon for $10 off $50. The total came to over 50 but when they subtracted the crv the total was 49.98. They would not let us use the coupon. They lost out on the sale. We found cheaper elsewhere. read more

This place has extremely poor customer service when it comes to helping anyone post purchase. Yea we get it, the corp gives u guys rigid rules, that doesn't mean you need to follow it to a T. This is by far the worst BevMo location in SoCal. Every time I've shopped here I've encountered a rude, condescending, and even racist cashier. There's never a greeting, no smile, no "did you find everything you're looking for", nothing but utter contempt as they ring you up. Why is that? I suppose working there means that somewhere along the way you made some really poor choices in life and now have been relegated to the 10th Circle of Hell better known Working at BevMo. And the prices? Ridiculously high; you can easily find spirits on sale down the street at Ralph's or Vons much cheaper. Stay away from this sh!thole. read more

I LOVE BEVMO!!!! They have a variety of wines to choose from. The only reason I LOVE it is because I found my Maui Wine that I always used to sip on when I was back home on Oahu. Its a pineapple wine :) very sweet and delicious!!! I was just skimming through some of the white wines and came across it. I got so excited!!! If you ever go to BevMo and are looking to try a sweet wine.....look for the Maui Wine. It comes in pineapple or tropical fruit....its AWESOME!!!!! read more

place has a great layout and excellent selection of beer, but in reality it seems that the wine selection is much more limited than other places. I went shopping for wine gifts for Christmas, and I had a hard time finding wines to fit the bill. Liquors on the other hand were great. Big word of warning on priced - DO NOT buy food, chips etc here unless you want to pay top dollar. We were going to make Mai Tais so I bought 1bottle of pineapple juice, which cost about $6.00. later that day I saw that we needed to buy more juice, and I went to the local market, where I found the exact same bottle of pineapple juice for $3.00 (not on sale)! A lot of selections of beer and wine! My sister was lucky to find a parking spot right outside of the store, so that meant it won't be packed inside. Seriously, I always had one of those horrific thoughts that I might bump into something and a whole glass of wine will crash into the floor. I walked in this store, hoping it won't happen to me. My sister and I took our time and went up and down each aisle. We were getting drinks for Vegas and my sister had no clue as to what to get since she doesn't drink that much. Since my other oldest sister, the queen of alcohol, wasn't there to help us, I tried to refresh my memory of all the drinks I use to mix at parties I throw at my sister house. lol. We ended up Nuvo, Henessey, all the stuff to make a Midori sour, Malibu and a few other stuff I forgot. We looked like alcoholics with all the drinks in the shopping cart. I had a feeling that we were missing a drink to mix for the midori sour so a man there was reallyyyy helpful! He went behind a thingy and helped me looked up the ingredients for it! He also took his time explaining the different types of hennessey that was behind the closed locks. Even the cash register lady was nice and funny! Poor customer service. I paid $100 for a store pickup order on a "bevmo exclusive" product and even though it said they had the bottle in stock online they didn't actually have it in store. They had the regular version of my "bevmo exclusive" product in store but it was about $10 more expensive. The manager refused to price match for the $10 difference even though it was an error on their end. Very disappointing. read more

I called for a specific beer and drove to get it. The woman on the phone said, it was one per customer. I said OK, no problem. When I got there, I bought 3 no questions asked. Thank you BevMo! On top of that, they had a great selection of craft beers not at other chains, so I bought those too. Excellent store. read more

When it comes to my liquor and beer I am very particular. Usually I like to stick to the smaller store down the street (where now I have gone so often they know my name). I come for Bevmo for kegs for my kegerator. The keg selection is decent, and the prices aren't bad (especially compared to some breweries that way over charge for their own kegs). Bevmo though, as my friend pointed out, just doesn't feel like it cares. It feels like a chain store and very impersonal. The prices on the beer and liquor are also not that great if you do some hunting. My local store beats them on price for sure. I'll keep coming for the kegs, as of now, but I'll hit up my mom and pop for my other needs. read more

Was racially profiled at this bevmo by the store manager i will no longer shop at this bevmo or any other bevmo for that matter I normally always shop here for my Events But Tuesday around 3ish 8/27/19 I came to store for a huge order for my Labor Day weekend event. I pulled into the parking lot got into store and totally didn't realize my phone was dying and i needed it for my ApplePay so i turn back around sit in my car and waited for my phone to be charge i came out my car minding my own business Just to be approached by Jason the store manager asking my is this my car i said yes he ask why is it on I didn't see how this was his business I answered nevertheless my car wont charge my phone without it being on. After about five or ten minutes so I came in the store i was FaceTime my close friend to help my with my selection for the open bar only to be approached by Jason again he said" you cant take pictures of the item I told him im not taking photos jees before i got here you being on my back please sir im snap Chatting just to not make him any wiser That my friend could hear him on the phone ok he walks away. I saw a bottle that i wanted bottle in the glass case i ask a staff member could they help me not sure if its way she saw him talk to me she thought it was ok to so RUDE she reply We cant give you the Liquor in the case to walk around with! Very rude She replied i said know could you put it behind the Counter yes i did have attitude just in same tone and look she gave me. She replied im on break so i said Ohkay why u answer as it was three employees with all red shirt on i was just speak aloud to who ever was on the clock but she had to inserts her self she was having a long conversation with another employee on the clock I didn't know the difference The store manager came in conversation to tell me how rude i was being like i work for bevmo i said you hear how she answer me as a paying customer he said nope he heard how I reply i said no you heard how I reacted to the situation he told me he refuses to serve me and to leave i stood there for a bit he went in his pocket for his phone proceeded to call the police and called me a fucking NIGGER i left the store and I will ever ever ever in my life go back to another bevmo and They have Lost all the business from any Caribbean Dancehall Event in California periodt. read more

This was not my first visit to a BevMO. I walked in on New Years Eve expecting to find some of my favorite wine's that I can find at my local Target. Middle Sister is one of my faves. They didn't have it! Next on the list was ROTH. They didn't have it!. C'mon you claim to have this huge selection , but one wine you don't even carry. The second wine, you ran out of. WTH?! Kind of a biased review... When I first got into craft beers I thought this was the place to go. After checking other liquor stores in the area I found it wasn't that great. They have a descent selection but maybe just not what I was looking for. I read of list of the top 10 beers on beeradvocate and the staff there had only heard of a few. This bevmo is in an amazing location, the staff is really nice and knowledgeable! I really wish they had a BIGGER beer selection. The only downside was when I asked if they had any sour beers I was shown the sour beer kit...not any of the actual sour beers but, I will be back. :) read more

This is a go to place for wine for me. The only thing is that if you're coming from the east in foothill you'll need to make a u turn at Rosemead. The parking is pretty easy other than that. The employee here have been really helpful in finding me things or suggesting ideas as well. read more

When you buy several bottles of distilled liquor and have your own shopping bag, when the counter cashier bag them, should he not single paper bag each first? The bottles clanked all the way driving home. The server J smiled nicely but subtly skipped a step, not exactly sincere in his service to the customer. It happened this afternoon. Attempted 2 pick up orders and each time more attitude was given. The first time they didn't give my full order even though it was saying completed. They forgot and was giving me a hard time about it my other items. I get it, times are stressful this is new okay. Attempt number two seemed to go more smooth man I was wrong. Didn't know I needed the ID and drivers license of the person who purchased the order. Even though it was my account that was used. So instead of telling me I needed all of that they had me go to back and forth to the car to get the card then they said and we need their ID. Came in here a week ago to look for my favorite brand of Grey Goose (citron flavor) and the service was friendly. They also told me about other flavors and the guy seemed very knowledgable about the products in the store. He seemed friendly and helpful and interested in helping me to make the best purchase decisions. Will come back for Christmas shopping. read more

What alcohol beverages don't they carry here? Even the very expensive brands of Tequila & Rum which are locked up and cost over $100. dollars are found in this little store. There are lots to chose from and they make great gifts or even if your just stopping in to buy drinks for your own home they carry every kind of alcoholic beverage you can think of. Bought some Whiskey here for $49 and found the same one at Costco for $39 so I tried to return it and they said they don't accept returns on alcohol which I can understand. At that point I was thinking at least price match it for me (just for customer service to keep the customer happy) but they wouldn't price match as well. Alright, the positive part is the selection and that's all. Customer service sucks. All seemed well when I ordered and picked up a keg, tap, and container, but when I returned it there was a different experience. The manager (female I guess there's a few of them, but I didn't get her name) refused the items because I didn't get a receipt. I explained to her after I brought it it to pick it up, they didn't give it back. She said "they have to." Apparently not, because I didn't get it. So then she said since there was no bevmo sticker on the keg they wouldn't accept it. I explained that the employees not putting it on is not my responsibility. I was still refused my deposit back, so I then asked if she could look up the bill of sale since it's a keg, was put on reserve for me, and paid with a credit card. She replies with "No. Find your receipt and bring it back." I told her again I never got it back. She told me "sorry" So then I called up the costumer help 800 number and told them the situation. They apologized, called the store, and sent me a receipt via email and the store a copy as well. When I returned the keg on the second attempt, there was nobody around. I waited and another costumer waited at a register to be helped and nothing. There were two people straight down the isle from us, I literally had to go get them and ask for help. I gave 2 stars because the company seems decent, but this store specifically had terrible costumer service on these two experiences.... read more

September 30, 2018 Totally appalling/unacceptable customer service in BevMo Pasadena East, CA On Sep. 29, I spent over 4 hrs in the am on BevMo's website trying to order 2 cases of wine for an upcoming dinner. Your website kept on coming back with a msg that said "address verification failed, transaction declined". Chat service online was not available. So called the Pasadena East store & spoke to Jason, store mgr. On 1st call, he keep on brushing it off & told me to instead call BevMo's Customer Service # 925-609-6000 in Concord, CA to resolve. Because it was a Saturday, I asked him if this # was working & he affirmed "yes". Called 3 times & each time a V/M msg came up asking me to call back during "business hours". Left 3 msg's & after about 2.5 hrs, called Jason again to report non-response from that C/S #. Then he said the C/S line only operated limited hours on Sat. (info never disclosed when he directed me to call) and there was nothing he could do. I then suggested to give him my credit card info over the phone for him to run it & he refused & insisted that I needed to be at the store instead. Eventually I went there & he ran the credit card for the purchase with no problem. The purchase total was over $400 for delivery (which he knew all along). He promised delivery to a restaurant in Temple City, CA on 9/30/18 between 1 & 3 PM. 4:48pm on 9/30/18 & Restaurant let me know that there was no delivery. So called Pasadena East store again and spoke to David who indicated that Jason was off until 10/2/18. David further indicated that the delivery guy was running late & would deliver in about an hour. Soon after that, Restaurant informed me that the delivery guy called them that they would not be able to deliver at all on 9/30/18. Pls let me know if this is at all reasonable & is this the way that BevMo runs its business/stores? read more

Just got off the phone with Alisa I'll spare a play by play and just say if you want any info out of this girl you need to know what questions to ask. I was calling about a keg for a party we are having, I know nothing about kegs. She instantly seemed annoyed with my questions and just kept saying that depends on this or that. Finally after a few deep breaths and trying different questions we were getting somewhere. I plan to still order from them however someone needs to train this girl on customer service or just stick her in the back to have NO human contact. read more

Oh, Beverages and More! I was always too lazy to visit you over on Arroyo Parkway. I'm glad you got the hint and finally moved a little closer to me. So I missed out on the free giftcards at the grand opening, but made it for the free samples like the Bundys in a heatwave. This place is glorious. Beers galore (thats my thing) and teensy bottles of booze to hide in my desk at work. Staff was very friendly; mostly fresh faced young'uns in their early 20's who were very inquistive (they asked ME a lot of questions...hahaha) about beer. The store was brand spanking new, very clean. Parking in a teensy lot infront of the store. Also have parking under the store (makes me wonder how long that will last because of the amount of homeless in the area, but ohwell.) A handy dandy elevator takes you all up inside the store from the parking garage. Plenty of street parking. A new place for me to blow money on my lunch break now.
