Warren was not his usual self as he was busy discussing with trainees timings and where to be in the shop. The Beaujolais Nouveau this year is Over priced $ 16.99 - $ 3 = $ 13.99 this is still $ 4 more than Trader joe's for the same George Duboeuf Bottle and $ 3 More than Gelson's for the same George Duboeuf ! What Happened to the 30% loss of the value of the Euro compared with the US Dollar ? On the day of the arrival of the wine, I was too happy to get a few bottles. 2 week later same price and technically got a lecture about supply and demand once I pointed out the price discrepancy. The Bottles I had at hand are still on your shelves and Gelson's offered a 10% discount for the purchase of 6 bottles. Time to wake up and smell the coffee guys !!!!! I am getting bombarded with ads for other wine companies, time to take a visit. Shame to leave a neighborhood shop ! read more

Great Selection. So so prices. I purchased a big bottle of Kettle One Vodka for the Holidays. it cost about $29.00. Checking prices at the local market - the smaller bottles were around $24.00 so I think I got a great deal. As for wine and champagnes, I still think World Market offers the best deals. Can of Sales Mixed nuts ran me about $7 .50 which is a little higher then the market but not bad when you add in the convenience factor. All in all - great variety of all areas. Great place to gift shop and sneak into when you are looking to pass some time. read more

I was yelled at by a customer being taken care of, when I was the next person in line waiting to pick up my online order. The person in front of me had already stated he did not order ahead, and replied in the negative when the store clerk asked if he had an online order. I can only guess that someone else was helping customers who did not order online. The website clearly stated that only online orders for pickup only, were available. The man waiting for his order started yelling at me that I jumped the line, since I responded that I was the next order for pickup and walked up to the clerk. The clerk handled it very well and did intervene telling the man that my order took precedence. However, I am not likely to return to this location if this is the type of clientele. I do not need to be intimidated by someone who towers over me and physically is much larger than I am. After yelling at me, he also never had the courtesy to apologize for getting in my face, so to speak, when informed I had done nothing wrong. Who doesn't love a BevMo? I know I do. They have all the liquor you can think of! And prices aren't to shabby. I went specifically because I have been craving a Mojito (thank you Sergio for that one), a friend of mine told me to trie Appleton Rum. Oh did I fall in love. Not in love with the fact that my date & I sipped on Mojitos at the driveIn, but in love with this rum. It is simply delicious. I like coming here whenever I'm low on red wine. The staff is very easygoing, friendly and, knowledgeable. To sum it up, they really know their stuff! I recently discovered Casillero Del Diablo wines, which are a very delicious addition to any meal. They have a vast beer, and spirits section as well. Although, it can get a bit pricey at times, their five cent wine specials, really help off set the cost. This is especially useful when buying for large parties, or get-togethers. Another nice addition, are the savory snacks they carry, to help compliment your purchase! Their customer service is also, second to none! I will continue coming back for more! read more

BevMos in general are fun stores to check out - there are so many different alcohols, glasswares, and fun bar items to check out. My husband scored new whiskey stones and glasses on this trip. One of the workers recommended a new Japanese whiskey for him to try, while another worker was patient and kind enough to walk me through the store (I am NOT a connoisseur so was naively asking randomly about Moscatos and Sakes. He was very nice). All in all, a solid BevMo. Not one of the prettiest I've seen, but the workers there are very helpful and nice. Private lot right in front, another bonus. read more

After shopping for a bunch of supplies and filling half a cart, I got in line behind 2 or 3 people. The staff decided that that would be a good time to re-boot their server. Waited about 10 minutes to check out. Staff promised us it would only be a couple seconds longer. Another 10 minutes, same false promise. A third 10 minutes, as I was starting to head towards the door, the server came back on. Basically, we waited more than a half hour to check out because these guys decided to work on their computer system in the middle of the day when there was already a line. When I asked why they simply didn't do what they needed to do before the store opened, the manager only could say "you are right." What a bunch of morons. read more

I LOVE Bevmo. It is a wine drinkers playground. I also love how they have the mixers next to the alcohol. That way if you want a gin and tonic they have them located in the same general area. I think that they should have a better rewards program but that wont stop me from going there. They also have beer and wine tastings on the weekend. Call them for the correct time. read more

I'm used to going to the Burbank Bev Mo, but I think this one is a lot nicer and more spacious. I only got to look for a couple things, but from what I saw, I liked the layout more than a few of the other ones I've been to. The people who were working there were also very nice and helpful, I called ahead and asked to reserve a couple bottles of Whiskey for pickup, they moved the bottles to the front and labeled them with my name. Before I paid for them asked about getting a cigar box since there was only one left of the kind I was looking for, the person in charge was very nice and accommodating. If this one was closer to me I'd come here more often, but to change things up I might come here instead every now and then. read more

Went to this location for the first time last night and while the line was long (2 cashiers) they were both very quick and polite. The one closest to the entrance would politely greet every customer who walked in while she was ringing up customers. And the 2nd cashier (Jose) who helped me was very polite and helped me resolve an issue promptly. Rare to see such service in places of business like this. read more

One may say that if you have been to one BevMo you have been to them all, and in some respects (product, layout, corporate parentage, etc.) you would be correct. Where you would be incorrect is that the staff at this BevMo is way better than most. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. I recently planned a surprise party for my husband that included specialty cocktails which were way out of my depth. Jeff spent a good amount of time with me in the spirits sections making recommendations and helping me check everything off my list in record time. Needless to say the cocktails were a big hit and everyone was impressed by the quality of spirits provided. This location also gets a decent amount of craft beer selections and has great 5 cent wines options. All in all a great store with great people! read more

I am a faithful member of BevMo's $2.00 wine and beer tasting on Saturdays from 2pm-5pm. I have receive nothing but the best customer service from Theresa who is the bartender for the tasting. I am always looking for a new wine to try and with her knowledge and expertise every Saturday I come home with a new and wonderful wine for the night. Also, the $2 I paid to get into the tasting the store puts it toward any purchase I made that was $10 or more. Which works out well with their wine sale, the first bottle of wine is $9.95 and the second is $0.05. Therefore, I get two bottles of wine for $8 plus a great tasting. I love coming here, the prices are great, the customer service is wonderful, and on Saturdays I feel like I'm amongst good friends. I recommend this place to all. Just came here, buying a bunch of liquor for our party, and I needed to use the restroom...walked over to them, doors locked-with a paper sign saying "only for BevMo customers" - asked an employee to use it, he stutters - and proceeds to respond to me with "both the bathrooms broke" - being a large establishment with large revenue - you should have plumbers on call 24hrs just Incase "they break" - horrible service. I called before I came and asked a very specific question if they would price match Total Wine's price of the Ace of Spade bottle because it was a difference of $140 and she said yeah no problem. Once I got here 15 minutes later all of the sudden they don't price match anymore and had the nerve to ask "well did you still want to get the bottle?" BevMo just lost a customer. Sad read more

I love this store! The manager there, I think his name is Bob, is extremely knowledgeable about beer and wine, and seems to know his stuff when it comes to tequilas and scotches as well. When I asked one of his supervisors about how he learned all that stuff, he said he was actually one of Bevmo's instructors who teaches new employees about all the wines and spirits. He's always been really cool to me, and always takes care of me when I'm planning a big party. I usually have a great time when I'm in there. They have this cashier named Warren who is so entertaining. He's always talking about movies and he's loud and boisterous, but everyone seems to enjoy him. In general, everyone there is really cool. There's this tall supervisor named Carl who is really laid back but knows his stuff as well. As with any outfit, there are the downsides. Often times, the wrong tag is in front of an item, or they're just out-of-stock on whatever you came in for. And then there are the normal problems with the help. I have been going there since they opened in March 04, and there have been a lot of really crappy people who worked there with poor attitudes. One of them is a girl named Vic or Vickie who is so loud and obnoxious that I cringe when I walk in the door when she's working. She gets on the intercom and makes inappropriate pages anytime the boss isn't around. It's really childish. On the flip side, her lazy eye is funny to look at. Also, there was a girl there named Megan who was just an overweight lazy shlub and never lifted a finger to help anyone. She was kind of bitch and sounded all nasally when she talked. I'm glad the manager got rid of her. Anyways, the bottom line is that this place pretty much rocks. When you're in there, go say hi to Bob! read more

Had the worst experience at this store. Watch out for Jeff premium scotch adviser and back up cashier. My wife and I shop here because it is down the street from our apartment but since this last Friday 5.2.14. We will definitely never come back to this store until this associate is fired. We were purchasing tequila and champagne for our weekend trip and while checking out were treated with complete racism and lack for customer service. When I tweeted and emailed the corporate office they still wanted me to re-explain my story. Saying this associate is hard of hearing and is valuable scotch seller not a cashier for this store. I don't think I have ever seen a person who was not fit for the his job in my life. First questioning my age(fine its alcohol that is needed) But completely telling me in the loudest voice possible to slow down regarding my phone number and have you ever used a credit card machine before. Background story: After my long trip for work as Territory Manager for Masonite. I drove from central California San Luis Obispo to meet my wife near our van Nuys/ Sherman oaks area apartment at Kinko's. My wife and I both work long shifts and your store really is a great place for us to unwind for a long week. To my surprise after just recently before this shopping experience our $200 alcohol purchase. Which for my wife and I normally would do for after a long week. We shopped your store got some cinco de mayo based tequila 1800 with champagne for our Sunday brunch. after we our selections walked up to the cashier register to pay. My wife and I were rudely greeted by your employee Jeff. First rudely asked for my ID, and my wife's ID which he inappropriately snatched out of my wife's hand. Refusing to acknowledge we were customers he continued to questioned our ability to pay for alcohol. I offers to give my frequent BevMo buyer phone number to alleviate any confusion of my age. He then unprofessionally asks for my wife's ID. Then, after carefully examining these ID's and throwing my wife's out of California state id to the other cashier I now know as manager. He never once said sorry for the confusion or I have to check all photo ID and drivers licenses for proof. My wife and I got the pure feeling that he had intent to say we were giving him fake ID's. I proceeded to give my phone number for my BevMo frequent buyer card. Jeff responded without looking me in the eye but yelling so other customers and possibly the store could hear "Hold on you can't talk that fast" I calmly and with the little patience had left repeated myself louder and in a defensive manner. Coming from a career in sales and customer service management I can read people very clearly with detail. He wasn't confused he shrugged his shoulders never once looking me in my eyes the entire transaction after the ID check. I found this awkward and very unprofessional. I even held my tongue from my inner screams of knowing when your being treated less than other customers. After thinking this transaction nightmare would finally be completed and I can move on to my weekend. Jeff seals the deal with say "don't forget to sign the box if this is your card" then he goes to bag my alcohol. after minutes of finally getting my alcohol boxed not bagged up he continued to instruct me how to sign my card my name but guided me like I had never paid for anything with my card before. Then, as I raised my voice to tell him to input my number said, "calm down" then as I finished this horrible transaction. My wife furious and outraged by this cashier I paused I looked back and said "your name is Jeff right?" "Thanks Jeff" After walking out of the store. I wanted to put this finished this horrible transaction for my Friday. My wife and I place our items in our cars trunk to turn and see Jeff walking with the customer behind us in line extremely excited and upbeat to help his white mid 40's woman customer. He Even walked her out to her car to place a small bag into the nice white lady's car. (Sarcasm and racism at same time) Got his name my wife Nicole called straight into corporate BevMo. I also being the formal social media manager for CSUN ( California State University Northridge) Career Center reached out to my social media professionals community and friends. Now all of CSUN is going to make this issue viral until I get the respect owed to me and my wife. Please let me know how you wish to proceed with handling this issue at your store. I have been a long time customer of BevMo and this makes me feel horrible and uncomfortable with making future purchases with your company. My girlfriend and I both have been to this Location a few times and we are very happy with our experience there. The store is very clean and organized, it's easy to find what you're looking for.
