Came to patronize on my lunch break on Saturday before my birthday Jan 2, when I walked in the place it smelled old, had poor customer service, and on top of that as I went to eat; the food smelled like it was spoiled and old .... within hours after eating it I began to have a fever, vomiting, and diarrhea for 2days straight. I ended up with food poisoning. The worst food I ever tasted and it made me feel horribly sick ..... I'm very disappointed. I will never be back to this place again.

They serve this and try to get away with fucked up food

How can you call yourself a Jamaican restaurant serving food like this. And to think you tought you can get away with it because it was a phone order. This patty was burned so bad the meat was black as FUCK and the pastry was way to big for the small amount of burt meat that was inside.

I wanted something quick and cheap for lunch, so I decided to give this spot a try. I've had some not so great experiences with Jamaican restaurants, but the prices reeled me in. I ordered the regular jerk chicken $5 lunch special, a beef patty, and a red velvet cake. They ran out of red velvet, so it was subbed for pound cake, the chunk was huge and it was very moist and tasty. I ate the beef patty first. It was really good, the one thing that I think stays pretty consistent between Jamaican spots. The rice and peas and plantain that came with the special were really good. Cabbage was meh. I really liked the chicken too, nice and spicy! My only complaint is that there wasn't really much chicken. I read another review on here saying that the lunch plate came with 3 pieces of chicken, but I feel like normal pieces were cut in half to make it seem like more. So really you were personably getting the equivalent of maybe a nice sized thigh. But the rest of the food is more than enough to fill you. I have leftovers for tomorrow. Overall, great value for the price! Quick delivery as well. I ordered via UberEats and had my food within 20 minutes.

Our server was really nice and helped explain the menu to us because we had questions for sure. For food: I got a beef patty and skillet corn bread while my friend had a dish with green bananas. I thought the beef patty was good but the corn bread was a bit hard although the berry jam did make it a little softer. My friend thought her dish was just alright. The ambiance for the place was great and I enjoyed the vibe. But the food was just alright.

I heard mostly positive things about this restaurant from a few family members, so I was curious to check it out. This Caribbean/Southern fusion spot is located as the anchor of a strip mall with other restaurants next door. The great thing is that there is plenty of parking. We came on a Saturday evening; thankfully it was not crowded, so we were able to sit down immediately. Food: I ordered the stewed chicken wings which comes with plantains and jasmine rice. I also ordered a side of roasted brussel sprouts. The wings were very good, falling off the bone tender. I also loved the flavoring of the rice, and the plantains were perfectly sweet. I was not a big fan of the brussel sprouts. They had a thick honey sauce on them that was overpowering, and they were very soft in texture. The positive side is that they give you a ton of food for the price. Service: There weren't many staff working this evening from what I could see. Our server greeted us promptly and checked on us several times before we ordered food. Once we ordered our food, it honestly went down hill. It just took extremely long to get anyone's attention for help. It also took close to 30 mins just to get our check. When the check came, they initially said they couldn't split it and added an automatic 20% gratuity. On their site, it says they do that for parties of 4 or more, but we were only a party of 3. The manager let the server split the check, but they would not remove the gratuity. I always tip well, so it wasn't the end of the world, it was just the principle for me. While I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back here, I might consider checking them out again for brunch.

And trust there is sooo many Jamaican spots in south Florida. I am also Caribbean myself, so I have a good idea what certain foods like Jamaican, Mexican, Cuban, Haitian, Puerto Rican, Dominican etc. should be tasting like. I hate to write negative reviews, because this men (the owner) was so sweet, kind and the service was great. Unfortunately, when we arrive the place is really dirty. We went there because one of my friends loves the turkey wings there and she recommended it. We order turkey plate, cabbage, sweet plantain, rice &peas and jerk chicken. I was afraid to consume the food and get some sort of poisoning. When I bent over to take a look at the food it did not look good. I asked myself are people really eating this? Then I looked in the back and the kitchen was also dark and a dirty mess. Mountains of dirty pots and pans. I said fk it, let's see what this is all about. See my receipt attached. Sad to say we took a bite of everything, and we ended up throwing it ALL away. Had to go spend more money to buy something else to eat. I do NOT recommend this place at all. I'm sure at one point his food was fire years ago. Also, inspections are critical to restaurant business and OUR HEALTH. I'm not sure he has had one since 2024.

I spent $43 (including a drink), and nothing about this meal was worth it. First red flag--there was a big barrel grill, but no smoky jerk smell at all. If you know real jerk, that aroma should hit you instantly. That alone should've told me everything. The jerk chicken had no smoke flavor whatsoever. It tasted pre-made and reheated. Jerk is supposed to be bold, smoky, and full of flavor--this wasn't that. The jerk wasn't jerking. The salmon was extremely salty--more like salt fish than anything enjoyable. The cabbage? Also overly salty. And the "mac and cheese"... I don't even know what that was. It looked like plain pasta with a yellow sauce. No creaminess, no baked texture, and the taste was slightly sweet in a strange way. The mac definitely wasn't macking. To make it worse, the food was cold. And I wasn't the only one--multiple people at the event were saying the same thing and talking about how bad the food was. That alone should be a sign that something needs to change. You definitely lost potential customers that day. I don't mind paying for good food, but this felt like paying for shortcuts. If you're representing your business at an event, the quality should reflect your best--not this. Very disappointing experience and left a very bad taste in my mouth.

It was a Friday night, so it was pretty packed when we first got there. We put our names down, and then grabbed a drink at the bar. There was outdoor seating that was available, so we grabbed a seat. We were then notified that our table was ready. It wasn't even 20 minutes, so this was great. The host took us to two seats at the bar. SOS is such a cool island type of vibe. They have so many different tiki cocktails that you can choose from. They are mostly made of rum, but they have a few other ones that are made with different alcohols. Me and my wife both got our own drinks. Hers was a special Valentine's Day themed drink that was on the menu, and mine was one of the tequila/mezcal tiki drinks. Both tasted really good! The presentation was just as good too! You aren't limited to these though, it's a full bar, so you can get whatever you want. They also have a few food options, but very limited. Our bartender, Heather, was super nice as well. My wife had asked (when I went to the restroom) if they did anything for birthdays, since my birthday was a few days prior. She did this cool fire presentation and gave us two little slushie shots. Awesome bartender for sure! SOS is a great place to go for some really fun drinks. What I do remember is that they set the Mai Tai's on fire so that's pretty cool. Service was also great. S/O Charlie! Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. You're welcome!

As someone who is known for seeking out and truly testing vegetarian options at Caribbean…read morerestaurants, I have to say--Miss Conduck is easily the best Caribbean flavor restaurant in Atlanta. And coming from a Jamaican background, let me be clear: the usual Trinidad vs. Jamaica debate does not apply here. This place stands on its own. From the moment the food hit the table, one thing was consistent across everything we ordered: it was hot, fresh, and made with real intention and flavor. We started with the fried cauliflower bites. The batter was light, crispy, and well done--definitely a solid starter. I wasn't a big fan of the tartar sauce it came with, but it didn't take away from the quality of the cauliflower itself. My friend ordered the jerk chicken rolls, and I have to give credit where it's due--the sauce that came with those rolls was incredible. Easily one of the standout sauces of the night. Next, I had the doubles, and because I like my food with a kick, I asked for pepper sauce. Now, I'll admit--I made my first one obnoxiously hot. But what I discovered was the real winning combination: adding the callaloo on top of the doubles. That was the perfect match. The callaloo itself is blended with so many elements into a rich, flavorful purée, and when paired with the doubles, it created this burst of layered, authentic Caribbean flavor that was just on point. I also ordered a veggie plate with rice and peas, cabbage, and chickpeas, and they did not disappoint. The portion size was generous, and every single item was clearly made with flavor in mind--not just thrown together as an afterthought for vegetarians. I also tried the macaroni pie--it's a smaller portion, but it's true Caribbean mac and cheese, rich and satisfying. The fried plantains were done perfectly--hot, fresh, and with that ideal balance of sweetness and texture. Then came the rasta pasta. My first couple of bites, I thought it needed a little more kick--but by the third bite, everything came together perfectly. You can taste the layers of vegetables building flavor, and there's a subtle heat that isn't overpowering but adds depth. The noodles were cooked exactly how they should be--perfect texture, not overdone, not undercooked. One thing I always pay attention to is this: Is a vegetarian-friendly restaurant also approved by meat eaters? And in this case, the answer is absolutely yes. My friend had the jerk chicken, and she said it was spectacular. She actually lives nearby and already plans to come back regularly. Honestly, I was surprised the place wasn't packed wall to wall. The atmosphere is incredible--it has its own unique style that really makes you feel like you've stepped into the Caribbean. The music, the vibe, everything is intentional. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. We even watched them handle a large party, and they went above and beyond to make sure that group was fully taken care of. All in all, this place exceeded expectations on every level. Five stars without hesitation. If you're in Atlanta and want real Caribbean flavor--whether you eat meat or not--Miss Conduck is a must-visit. I highly recommend making a reservation and experiencing it for yourself.
