Horrible service and communication. My washing machine was picked up last Wed and was told 3-5 business days would be worse case scenario if they had to order parts. I called twice yesterday which would be day 4 (business) just to get an update and was told they would call me back, surprise no call. Today, day 5 I called and was told that they haven't diagnosed it yet. I was told that they are busy like that is my problem. Well if you haven't even diagnosed it yet, I'm looking at another 3-5 business days before I would get my washer back. I get things may take additional time but be transparent and up front from the beginning and not make false promises. I could have gone with another appliance company and had my unit back by now. Calling the customer back is a requirement for any good business and but this company acts like they would be doing me a favor by calling me back or putting them out. Unacceptable from all levels. Beyer was the assigned company from our Home Warranty to handle the repairs to our broken ice maker in our fridge (2 yrs old). Today will mark the 7th time (after replacing 3 parts) Beyer will be at our house attempting to diagnose and correct the issue. Not once after the 6 prior visits did Beyer follow-up with us to see if the ice maker was working properly. I get it, after the 1st time maybe you wouldn't do a follow-up call but the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th time...the customer shouldn't be calling you every time. We were told on 2 occasions that the owner and a supervisor should have been made aware of our situation, that didn't happen. Their website says "Home Appliance Service you Can Rely On" - I'm not sure what's more of a farce; that statement or their customer service. In baseball, you get 3 strikes to get a hit, apparently in Beyer's standards, you get as many as you need until the issue is fixed. When you call Beyer, you have a 50/50 chance at either being treated like a valued customer and human or a nuisance to someone's day because they do not possess any skills to provide a good customer experience. If you get Nicole, she's great to work with and expresses genuine empathy for your frustrations and concerns. She'll help you and set proper expectations for what's to come so you're prepared for your technicians visit. Diamond on the other hand; will talk over you, not answer any questions, blatantly lie to you and provide no help or value to your situation. As the voice of Beyer Appliance, the 1st person you talk to when you call, Diamond makes you feel like you called the wrong number and want to hang up immediately. If Diamond is the baseline for good customer service at Beyer, hang up the phone immediately and find another company. She's absolutely terrible. There's a lot that hasn't happened with our experience so far but all we've asked from day 1 is to fix the broken ice maker. read more

They came out to my house on 2 occasions and had good bedside manner, but then left us hanging. We had a broken dishwasher and told us a couple days for a part then called us 5 days later. They said the dishwasher was broken after a second visit and then never called us. A week later we had to call them to find out they were just then a week later researching if the part was right they used. This lack of urgency or care to think a week of slothfulness is ok was disrespectful. I would say there has to be someone better out there to use if timeliness matters at all. read more

To begin with, Beyer was able to schedule a service call the next day after contacting them. The technician, Brian, called before he came, and was there at the beginning of our window. After a thorough diagnosis, he showed me the problem areas and explained what the problem was. He also gave me tips on how to better change the filter and places to check periodically since it's an older washing machine. read more

Was chosen thru my home warranty company. Called on 12/15 to schedule appt for Tech to come out on Christmas Eve and tell me they need to order parts. Waited weeks for parts and they wouldn't schedule appt til then. I scheduled for 1/10 and they are suppose to be here between 9-1. It's 3:42pm and nobody. Finally showed up at 5. Nicole called and said they are on their way. He got here replaced the pump and board and said it should work. I started it after he left and no water comes out unless lid is closed (not right), only filled up 1/4 on large load , agitated extremely loud & water leaks from bottom. I called that night at 6-6:30 and left a message for Nicole that they Ned to return tomorrow night and fix it no matter what time it is and guess what ??? No return phone call! Trust me: DO NOT have them out for your repair. You will regret it. read more

As you can see from many reviews this company is horrible. This company was sent out from my warranty company and the experience has been horrible. First they "fixed" my refrigerator ice machine at least 6 times and it continued to break down which I told the warranty company but they kept sending this company. Now I have had to deal with the same company for a dishwasher repair which has taken 6 months to repair after several attempts by their technicians trying to repair, backorder on parts which was never communicated to me, giving me a 4 hour window to install a new dishwasher and they are a no show and no call or communication. Long story short I still do not have a working dishwasher. The person answering the phone "Diamond" has the worst customer service skills and could really care less. I would highly recommend choosing any other company than this one! read more

This is the second time we have had Alex out to repair something. The first time we were so impressed that he saved the day for us! I was having a big party and three days before the oven went out. I was expecting the worse as I figured ordering a new part and all the hassles that went with that. Alex came, figure it out and got the control panel working!! We were all so happy! Last week, when my microwave broke, I called for service to my home warranty group. They were going to send out a different company. I asked if I could have the same company as last time and specifically the same repairman. They agreed. He just came, fixed the issue and now my microwave is operating again. I definitely will recommend him and Beyer Appliance to anyone. read more

I had a washer that wasn't draining and had standing water in it. The Home Depot warranty plan had been trying to send out less than desirable repair companies to my house and after reading the reviews I just couldn't do it. By luck, Beyer was sent out and I was hopeful as they had more positive reviews than negative. They arrived within the scheduled time frame, took the time to correctly diagnose and repair the problem. The repairman was very friendly and was careful not to make a mess with the wetvac needed to extract the standing, smelly water in the machine. After finding the problem with the washer and fixing it, he ran it on a small cycle and stayed to be sure the problem was fixed. I was blown away by that!! In the future I will request Beyer through my warranty plan. read more

We recently had to have our oven repaired. The technician, Hugh, was friendly, courteous and diagnosed the problem quickly. It was a part that he had to order which came in a day. Again when he returned he was friendly on time and completed the repair quickly. Great service all the way around. Would highly recommend Beyer Appliance Service and no I was not paid to post this review. Just important to recognize good quality service when you get it. read more

Our fridge went out, so I called American Home Shield (AHS) and they sent these people out. They came, said that a few things where wrong and ordered parts. I was called back shortly just couple of days to schedule to get it fixed. They came out and replaced the parts. I thought great! Now we have a working fridge again. Nope not at all. Nothing they did made any difference. Even the ice maker they replaced didn't work. (the old one kinda worked at least it made ice). I called to get them back out. They flat refused to come back and fix anything. I was told that everything had to be done through AHS. So I will be with out a fridge for another week while these clowns make excuses why what they did doesn't work. read more

What an awful experience with this company. Had a service call (through my home warranty) for my dishwasher. One the first trip the technician decided the problem was a hose needed to be replaced. So he left and returned (and left us with a mess that he made) and when he returned a few days later it turned out the part he had to order wasn't even necessary. He then "fixed" the problem only for me to find out later that day the problem was not corrected at all. A manager called me the following day and was rude, unapologetic and could not get another more capable technician to our home to fix the issue within the time we requested. I never post reviews but for this company I signed up for yelp. This review is actually for 2 companies, Beyer Appliance and One Guard Home Warranty. We have had OneGuard and for about 3 years they've always sent us quality and reliable people to work on our home issues. We had a problem with our Bosch dishwasher, it wasn't running it's normal cycles at all. The guy from Beyer who showed up(I have his name but won't post now) was in our house a grand total of less than 10 minutes, I'd say about 7 minutes. He did not pull out a tool or take anything apart. All he did was unscrew the filter and pull a tiny piece of thin glass and a toothpick out of the filter that guards things like this from getting down into the drain pump. This took him 5 seconds to do. There was 3 inches of dirty cloudy water in the bottom of the dishwasher at the time. He claimed to our home warranty company that he pulled these 2 things from down near our drain pump so that the repair for this issue would not be covered because they were not considered a "food items," and we would have to pay for it out of our pocket. Number one, this was a complete lie since he could not possibly get to the drain pump in 5 seconds. Number two, these items were IN THE FILTER that guards things like this from getting to the drain pump. After this, I watched about 2 hours of youtube videos on this subject and then took apart the dishwasher to get to the drain pump. To siphon the water out and take off the piece to expose the drain pump took 10-15 minutes. So again for the tech to say he found this debris near the drain pump was not possible based on being in our house less than 10 minutes. What I could not believe was that OneGuard was taking the side of this Beyer tech and said if they send another tech and it turns out to be a drain pump issue that it would not be covered. For OneGuard to snake their way out of paying a claim and to believe a company like Beyer who has more 1 star reviews than 5 star reviews is unreal. Beyer obviously has issues with a ton of 1 star reviews. OneGuard has issues too since they left us hanging with a broken dishwasher for 10 days. I spent at least an hour of my time pleading with the OneGuard to listen to our story to no avail. Since our dishwasher was at least 7 years old and since there was a real risk that we would have to pay a $300 service bill for a broken drain pump we decided to buy a new dishwasher. So much for having a warranty company that has your back. If I could give a negative 5 star rating to both I would. I wouldn't trust Beyer to change a broken light bulb in our refrigerator. And I am not sure we should continue to pay OneGuard since they do not seem to be taking their customers issues seriously anymore. read more

The second guy that came out as "second opinion" discovered washing machine agitator was broken or missing teeth. Hugo, took fantastic care of the washing machine repaired correctly. My warranty company has sent Beyer Appliance the past few times I've needed service. They are prompt answering the phone and scheduling service. I really like that at the beginning of the day they let you know where you are in the lineup for the day so you know whether to expect them soon in the "time window" or later. The technician was courteous and knowledgeable, diagnosing the problem correctly each time. They ordered parts and got back to me very quickly. First of all the technician Trinidad got here 6 minutes before 3 p.m.. when Trinidad entered the home I specifically told him which refrigerator needed to be serviced he immediately went outside call the company told them that I was trying to get him to service a refrigerator that was not under warranty. I explain to him a second time that the refrigerator I told him that needed to be fixed is the one that is under warranty he was like oh I'm on the phone with the company. He tells me the girl on the other line wants to speak to me, she proceeded to tell me that I do not have a warranty on two refrigerators I proceeded to tell her that the refrigerator that was supposed to be fixed is the one that has the warranty. So instead of letting me call the rental agency to explain to them which refrigerator needed to be fixed Trinidad left so fast he wasn't even here 10 minutes he didn't give me a chance to call the rental agent to let them know that that was the correct refrigerator that needed to be fixed. I ended up having to take another day off work, they sent Trinidad right back out here again to fix the exact refrigerator that I told him to fix in the begin. If Trinidad and the girl on the line from the company had listened to me and had called up the rental agency or let me call the rental agency it would have took me a couple of seconds to press dial I would not have had to take another day off work. The manager from the rental company told me the girl arguing with her for a whole hour on the phone about which refrigerator was supposed to be fixed talking about bad customer service.. read more

A couple weeks ago I was cooking on my glass stove top. I heard a very loud pop and noticed a number of cracks in the glass after removing a pot from the stove. Clearly the top was cracked...there were no "scratches" prior to removing the pot and scratches do not make a cracking sound. You could also very easily feel the cracks in the glass. My Home warranty company dispatched Beyer Appliance Service. The tech that came to my house merely took pictures of the glass. He was completely dishonest with me. He told me that several of the cracks appeared to be surface cracks but agreed that there was one long crack that appeared to go all the way through. He made just a minimal attempt to examine the glass. I literally had to assist him with the light on my cell phone so that he could take pictures. He took pictures of the top and submitted a report to my home warranty company. A short time later my home warranty called me to deny my claim because the tech reported that they were only scratches. This was not what the tech reported to me. I called the office and only after probing, the office employee informed me that the tech reported that they were just surface cracks. I assured the office that was not what the tech reported to me. I then informed the office that I would be happy to hold them liable for any damage of injury such as electrocution because their actions led to my home warranty refusing my claim. The office worker then advised me not to use my stove and also informed me in a threatening manner that she was recording my call. I am very confused...I thought they were just scratches. Why wouldn't Beyer stand behind their tech's judgement and be unconcerned about damage or injury stemming from a cracked stove top. Clearly I must be uninformed. I thought it was just scratches... Terrible experience and sadly what you typically get from contractors used by home warranty companies. As a side note...because I know my home warranty company is terrible, I asked for pricing on the glass replacement plus installation. The tech told me the part was about $293. He then explained how to install it because he felt I could easily do it myself. Basically two nuts and the top will lift right off. I then asked him to find out how much to install. The tech quoted me about $593 materials and labor. So basically an additional $300 for a top that only a minute before the tech was explaining would pop right on with little effort. He advised me to just buy a new stove at half the price. read more

We felt Beyer's technician provided us exceptionally poor customer service by not addressing why we initially employed them. Well here are the facts and you can decide: Our dishwasher lights were working, but the cycle wasn't initiating. Beyer was sent by our warranty company, they said they would arrive between 1pm-5pm. We were finishing lunch, when the technician arrived at 12:58, they were received by our agent whom we notified we would be back in 7 minutes. We arrived at the property at 1:08pm. The technician had already left, and told our agent that the cause of the problem was the dishwasher was unplugged. No explanation was given as to why we experienced the dishwasher lights being on, but the cycle not starting. Beyer still demanded the $75 deductible be paid. Now you decide... read more

Dishwasher was broken -- something the home inspector did not note on his walk through. Things turned out great, though. Beyer sent out Tu to look at the issue. He found the broken part, located and ordered it from GE and within a few days the part was here and Tu put it in. He tested the dishwasher and even showed me how to operate it. Wonderful technician! If I have another appliance problem, Beyer will be contacted with the understanding that only Tu will do. read more

I have a refrigerator that quit working, I contacted my Home Warranty company and they schedule a technician from Beyer to come to my home to diagnose and fix the issue. They technician shows up four days later and without even pulling the refrigerator from the wall, diagnoses the problem as a bad compressor and control board. The only thing he did was take a picture of the serial number and model number inside the door. He said he would order the part and schedule service in a day or two. Evidently, he went back to his office and ran the serial number from the refrigerator and determined that the compressor was still under warranty, and dropped the service call, after I called Beyer to inquire about when they would be out to fix the unit, they informed me at that the unit was under warranty and would not repair the unit. Thanks Beyer for letting me know! As it turns out, the compressor was fine, there was a clogged filter that a basic handy man was able to diagnose and repair. Must be embarrassing to be out diagnosed by a handy man compared to the supposed "Highly trained technicians" Beyer claims they employ.For the record, I did not choose this company, they were assigned to me through American Home Shield. Stay away from both these companies. I now have a CC dispute with AHS as they charged me $100 to have a technician take a picture of my refrigerator. read more

Thieves! Even middle management conspire to support their fraudulent activity. I hired them to fix my Jenn-Air ovens after a power outage fried the circuit board. They quoted me $398.00 for labor and $398.00 for the new board. I paid by credit card over the phone. Shortly, thereafter I got a call telling me they could not get a new board but they could repair the old circuit board. I happened to mention, during that call, that there were companies on the internet that could repair the same board for $150,00 that they had charged $398.00. The representative did some checking and said they would be willing to give me a $70.00 credit. I was happy with that determination. However, weeks later and many calls later, I have yet to see a penny! On one of my follow up calls the representative said they would talk to their supervisor. I'm sure they did and the supervisor has done nothing. Next stop, a copy of this message to the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General. How many more customers have been cheated by this company? read more

They were assigned to repair through the home warranty we received when purchased the home. First experience and right now not pleased in how this program operates. Called for service on Whirlpool ice maker not working, that was 9/5; immediately received a call from Beyer to set up appointment on 9/10 with Steve. We waited around our home and finally Steve called, on his way. Walked in and said we needed a new filter before he could diagnose problem (personally found that hard to believe), and we told him had been to 3-locations and all were out. He suggested a place, told us once we had the filter to call back and he would return. We immediately obtained the filter and back home in 2-hours, left a message on the phone # he had called from ... no response. Several hours later I called the home warranty company and after holding for 20 minutes was told to call the 'contractor' and have them come back. I immediately called Beyer's and was told that the service call 'had been closed'. Would need to contact home warranty and place another service call. What stinks, we had to pay the $69 service fee to home warranty company for no service from Beyer. So, if I call the home warranty to place a follow up call, another $69 service fee ... not! Beyer is located in Tempe, and our service address is Sun City West - not exactly right around the corner. Right now not sure what direction, but seriously thinking the home warranty isn't all it is cracked up to be, and they must find desperate businesses to do their service work. That is not very nice when we had one bad experience, but not real pleased at this point. read more

I made an appointment with Beyer Appliances to fix my refrigerator ice maker. The earliest time that they had available was over a week away. Not a problem nor was the 4 hour window they gave me. The problem is when the technician shows up before the 4 window while I'm at work. Not knowing this I left work and waited 4 hours at my house during the window time and no one came to fix my ice maker. I did not hear from Beyer Appliances that day. It actually took another 4 days to speak with someone. They tried to reschedule with the earliest available slot being another week away and another 4 hour window. My interaction with the rep on the phone was disappointing. She told me that the techs have 15 stops a day and if they get there early it's not their fault. Beyer Appliance never took ownership of the miss communication or the waste of my personal and professional time. It's a relief that they never touched my possessions. The technician was very pleasant and knew what he was doing. My only issue which was probably out of their control was the time it took to get the parts in. Our freezer quit working and the fridge leaked water from the dispenser. Thankfully we had a backup freezer. The parts took roughly 3 weeks to come in and another couple days to get the tech back out. The problems were fixed once the parts arrived. read more

This company was provided by our home warranty company. They were the 2nd appliance company called out after a plumber. They were difficult to schedule with, rude on the phone and called the wrong number when they were on their way. The repair person opened the dishwasher door, was there for 5 mins and stated it was a plumbing issue. We had already had a plumber come out and there was no issue! After paying a 2nd plumber out of pocket and hiring another appliance company (Lowe's Appliance) a new part was ordered. When I called to inform the company of their mistake the receptionist hung up on me after stating a manager wasn't available. When reading through the Better Business Bureau this company gets only a 1.5 star review for bad business practices. I discourage the use of companies without ethical practices and poor customer service. If you are looking for an appliance company I discourage the use of this company for terrible customer service. read more

Adding to my experiences yesterday... The Beyer driver did indeed show up without the part to fix my fridge. In fact, he took out 3 screws, heard that the compressor was not working and stopped. (any hack knows that if the compressor is not making any noise, its not working) He stood up and said it needs a new compressor... NO KIDDING??? I could have told you that! In fact THEY could have told me that when the service call was entered. THEN... he looked at the ID tag inside and said "we can't fix this, its still under manufacturer warranty so YOU have to call LG and arrange that" I had waited 5 days for BEYER to show up and they tell me I have to call someone else? I was stuck so I did. I called LG and talked to a guy in the Philapines who can't get anyone here until Monday. Thats 10 days without a kitchen refrigerator! BEYER could have communicated a hell of alot better. OneGuard, my home warranty, also knew the make and model of my fridge and year purchased. WARNING don't buy a home warranty if your appliances are fairly new, you'll be redirected to the manufacturer if you have problems. Its a good deal for OneGuard as YOU pay the annual premium but they don't fix it. read more

Like others have said... I should've read the reviews. Home warranty work on a leaking/dripping ice maker. Tech diagnosed it in two minutes, had the part on the truck and was going to install it but had some issues contacting the HW company for "approval" through the contractors line. He was about to just leave without installing the part. I asked him to wait and I called and was able to get the authorization. Next day, another part of the ice maker literally just fell off. Called to get it fixed. Only available window for a tech was a week away. Day of the repair the tech calls me, leaves a VM and says he knows what the problem is he sees it all the time and will order the part which will take 3-5 day. (And then what? Another week to actually get someone out to put it in?) So apparently he knew what it was it without having to come out to the house, why couldn't it have been ordered a week ago???? When I called to explain how frustrated I was he literally just kept talking over me and YELLING AT ME that or wasn't his fault, none of it was his fault, and there was nothing that he could do and that if I was tired of cleaning ice out of my freezer that I should just turn it off. Duh! How about fixing it in the first place because I'm pretty sure he broke it when he came out the first time. read more

I initially posted a review of this company and deleted it bc it was not a positive review, but since the repairs hadn't been completed yet, I thought it was fair to at least wait until the repairs were done. This was initiated on July 20th through my home warranty company, who sub-contracted out the work to Beyer. It is August 10th today. I've had Beyer come out to my house 3 separate times now. 1st was to diagnose the issue, which is perfectly understandable. I realize that they need time to get the parts so it was going to be at least a two-visit repair. Unfortunately, when they got the part to fix my ice maker and came back to repair it, after finishing that up, they realized that they need additional parts for the sensor. Aggravating, especially since the tech should've caught that on the first visit, but whatever, s#@* happens sometimes, and the tech (Jesus, I believe was his name) was super nice and professional the whole time, the one bright spot in this exercise in frustration. Visit #3- they come and install the parts to fix the sensors. But 5 days later and not a single ice cube. So I called a few days after visit #3 was supposed to have fixed the issue bc the ice was still not coming out. So they schedule visit #4 for me for tomorrow, Friday August 11. They scheduled that visit for me on the Monday prior (Aug 7th). Now, I get a call today (Aug 10th), the DAY BEFORE visit #4 was supposed to happen, and the brain-dead secretary/receptionist/customer service phone rep calls me and says that they now realize that they installed a defective part for my fridge, and they'll have to order new parts and it would be delayed YET AGAIN. Beyer, listen up- I AM FED THE F UP WITH YOUR SHODDY SERVICE. I am DONE dealing with you, and your idiot phone rep who keep making me take time off work for something that should've been a SIMPLE repair. I am calling my home warranty company and telling them that I REFUSE to EVER work with you again, and to have a new, COMPETENT company dispatched to fix this simple problem. That girl that answers their phone reminds me of the brain dead airport gate attendant near the end of the movie Tommy Boy- "Hi, I'm Earth, have we met?!" I've tried to exercise patience, but shoddy companies like this mistake my patience and understanding to mean that they can do (or not do) whatever the hell they want when it comes to my repair. This is utterly UNACCEPTABLE, and if anyone at Beyer wants to call and talk to me about the breakdown in service, give me a call. I don't want a standard, cliched response of, "I'm sorry your experience was unpleasant. At Beyer we strive to provide the best service to all of our customers...blah blah blah" If anyone at Beyer wants to have a REAL conversation about why your company SUCKS A$$, hit me up. If not, don't bother bc if you contact me with just the standard boilerplate responses to terrible service, that conversation with me will turn instantly unpleasant for you. Jesus came to fix washer. He found something was wrong with my plumbing also. He had to order a part. Truth be told I was a little bit rude because it couldn't be fixed right away and it was like 730 in the morning and I'm not a morning person. I was kind of whining why it couldn't be fixed and he remained very professional and so nice and giving me all the answers I needed. I appreciate someone like him and customer service that knows how to handle the customer when they're not at their best. He has ordered the part for me and will be back to fix it and I will have a whole new attitude because of how he carried himself with me. In this case the customer was not right. Beyer Appliance was sent by our warranty company to fix our GE French Door Refrigerator that was leaking into and under our deli drawer from the Evap cover. Tu was the technician and he was most professional and very knowledgeable. Diagnosed the problem immediately and ordered the parts; new evap cover and drain plug. A week later, Tu came back and installed the new parts. He was in/out in 15 minutes. The only thing that I would recommend to improve is for them to use texting or phone calls/messages to confirm appointments instead of emails. I don't always get to emails each day and may have missed confirming the appointment and likely would have to reschedule. Highly recommend their services. read more
