I called about an LG refrigerator I wish I had never bought, but that horse is out of the barn. I thought the cooling section was not running cool enough (the freezing section is (barely) okay). After explaining my observations, Steve explained some things about temperature variation in refrigerators and indicated it was probably doing the best it could. No repair would improve performance. He said he could come and look at it, but that would cost me a $90 service call and probably yield nothing. We discussed the situation a bit more and I decided to take his phone advice, rearrange the food in that section, and see what happens. I also told him that if ANY appliance in this house needed attention, he is the first person I will call. He has earned my loyalty and he has never put a hand on anything here! Directly, at least. We scheduled a dryer inspection with Mallard Appliance for $69.99. However, at 1:39 PM on the day of the appointment, she called to say the UPS package had been lost and the appointment would need to be canceled. We were frustrated by the last minute notice after planning our day around the scheduled repair. The following morning, Rebecca called again and stated that a replacement part would need to be reordered and would take another 7-10 business days to arrive. We politely asked whether any discount or other accommodation could be offered due to the delay and lack of timely communication. Instead of addressing the concern, Rebecca immediately suggested that we could use another repair company if we preferred. When we expressed concerns about the communication and asked to speak with the owner, Rebecca stated she was part owner and insisted the answer would still be no. During the conversation, the call was abruptly disconnected. When we called back, Rebecca stated she had been speaking with Brian, the owner, but we were never given the opportunity to speak with him directly. Fortunately, we contacted another appliance repair company that had the part immediately available and complete the repair the very next day.
