Empty all night long. You'll get kicked out of the section if you even tried to sit
    Jackie M.

Halloween decor is on point!! Dj played all genres which was great. Thats pretty much the only positive thing i have to say about this pop up bar. They have seat reservations which i dont think its needed. Should be a seat for all. They would kick you out of the section, so standing all night long was the only option. They need to remember its a bar and not a club. That bottle mentality has got to GO! Drinks are STRONG and overly sweet. Sickly sweet if I'm being honest. Get ready for that hangover/ headache. For some reason the rye rye something drink was half a cup. Long waiting to get in even with the whole reservation ticket. People without tickets were getting in faster due to a shorter line. Reservation ticket entry was like $20 and non reservation was $40 from what I overheard. I would say go just so you can say you experienced it. No longer than maybe 2-3hrs. Gets repetitive and tired of standing and getting pushed from the crowd going back and forth through the dance floor.

So i am a bit confused about the photos here, because there is an actual restaurant looking place,…read moresome little cart and a food truck. Hopefully they are all related. My review is based on the food truck. It was my son's birthday. He was allowed to chose anything he wanted for dinner. Any price point... anything. Well i had seen this on Instagram and shared it with him two weeks prior. At first he wanted to go to Nobu or there were a few other high end options, but that is not his style honestly. Luckily, he remembered the post that I shared. He wanted to go here. Well, buckle up kids, we are going on a field trip! We left work/schools early and took a drive to Compton. When our navigation said we had arrived it suggested we park in the lot across from the library. Ok. There directly in front of the library was the food truck. There was a small line, so that was ideal. Not a long wait. My other smaller human and i went to wash their hands in the library. When i came out he had ordered the hungry man or something. It was more than enough for us. The oxtail was good. The ribs were good. The chicken was good. The cornbread was yummy. Just not over the moon for the greens... and i loooove collard greens. But that's ok. We went for the meats. They were out of the dinosaur ribs, so maybe if we go early enough next time, we can try those. We took it across the street to the park and ate and that was enough time for the small one to also play to get energy out before we headed home. The drive home was long, now that rush hour traffic had started. But none of us complained, because the meal was worth it.

First and foremost, the Chef Series is a showstopper! The chefs are absolute magicians in the kitchen, and you can genuinely feel the love and passion they put into their creations. I felt almost confused at first, like as if the restaurant wasn't even sure of its own identity. However, once I started eating the food, I understood and am extremely impressed. I had ordered the crawfish pasta, popcorn chicken (spicy), and fried baos. The pasta was cooked perfectly with chunks of crawfish and sausage in a creamy tomato-esque sauce. I usually don't care for crawfish, but it was so delicious here. The sauce was so buttery and creamy, and the sausage added a cajun spice to the dish. The components are all very seafood boil, but felt different and innovative with unique flavors. The popcorn chicken was seasoned very well and had the perfect fried, crispy texture you'd expect from popcorn chicken. What really made this unique was the sauce that it was served with. I am not sure what exactly the sauce is, but it tastes like a ginger scallion sauce that is served with Chinese boiled chicken. The sauce is a little more elevated and flavorful than a traditional ginger scallion sauce. I would've never thought to combine popcorn chicken with it, but it works! The fried baos were the most surprising to me. I was keeping my expectations low because I usually think frying something that's not normally fried doesn't always bode well. Fear not, the baos were fried perfectly. They were fried lightly while the inside kept your typical bao consistency. Also, in case you were wondering the type of bao, it is basically a steamed bao with ground pork, and I think an egg yolk inside. The flavors felt very much like traditional dim sum, yet new and fresh. Hats off to the chefs and the creators of these dishes. So innovative while still keeping the familiar Asian flavors! I ordered delivery, so this review was solely based off of the food.

I also ordered the popcorn chicken without spice, it does come with dipping sauces but my personal opinion it's seasoned too much. You order the food at the counter and pick it up when it's ready; they make the food rather quickly. The only thing is I wish they offered more meal options or variety of noodles as they only offer three. They do offer other items on the menu.I would go again for the noodles.

Our group of 5 sat outside during happy hour for about 3 hours, and during that entire time we were only asked if we needed anything twice. At one point, I literally had to stand up and wave through the glass just to get our waitress's attention so we could order. What made it more frustrating was watching the table directly next to us get checked on multiple times while the staff would walk away without even acknowledging our table. At the end, we waited over 20 minutes just to be charged. We honestly could have walked out without paying and I don't think anyone would have noticed. We really enjoy the food and would love to come back, but the service definitely needs improvement. It's disappointing when you want to keep ordering and enjoying your time, but can't even get someone to check on your table.

It has a really fun, hip vibe and would be such a great spot for parties or bigger groups. The food was just as amazing. Their fusion of Mexican and Asian flavors works so well. The chicken in the sandos were crispy on the outside, perfectly juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. Oh, and be sure to ask for extra Tim's sauce - definitely worth raving over. What made it even better was hearing that they braise the chicken for hours before it even hits the oil. That kind of attention to detail really shows in every bite. Each bite of burrito is paired with a fork-full of the fries with the pico and sauces. EZ MONEY. Since everything is made-to-order don't expect like fast food levels of speed, but that being said it's still relatively quick (think I waited like 11 minutes?)
