Tim's Avenue was such a fun find. The interior is beautiful--stylish, vibrant, and full of personality. It has a really fun, hip vibe and would be such a great spot for parties or bigger groups. The food was just as amazing. Their fusion of Mexican and Asian flavors works so well. We ordered two of the chicken sandos and their pork belly fries AND they absolutely hit all the right spots. The chicken in the sandos were crispy on the outside, perfectly juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. Oh, and be sure to ask for extra Tim's sauce - definitely worth raving over. What made it even better was hearing that they braise the chicken for hours before it even hits the oil. That kind of attention to detail really shows in every bite. Loved that this place as it closes late which was perfect for our long day of traveling to LA. The restaurant is in a pretty dead plaza next to a taco bell and can be easily missed as the sign isn't labeled Tim's Avenue yet. Looks like they took over a restaurant before as the place has some windows boarded up and such when I visited. Considering how busy it was, the food that we ordered at the front came out super fast. Because of how packed it was, the place also has a pickup through window for people who order take out which I thought that was a nice touch. Get the bulgogi tacos and the pork belly tacos! They are sooo good and I love the spicy sauce that it comes with! Came to Tim's Avenue after a long day of traveling. The SO has been craving any sort of loaded fries so when I named the pork belly fries he was sold! Plus it was around 10/11PM and they were one of the few locations nearby that was still open. Located off Lincoln, Tim's (aka Olligo Grill) serves Korean fusion tacos, quesadillas, burritos, fries, and more. The inside is about the size of a typical fast food joint with about 5 tables for dine-in. You order at the counter. We ordered: Fried chicken sandwich - super juicy! so juicy that the bun underneath completely soaked it up. The brioche bun was still delicious though! It definitely turned into a fork and knife sandwich. Pork belly fries - huge portion and the perfect meat/fry ratio was appreciated. As for the food itself, it's solid. Usually, I lean towards pork belly tacos, and then a shared pork belly fry. Flavor profiles are super similar and very nice. You get a good taste of the pork and sauces, and then the pickled onions add the acidic punch any dense food needs. If you enjoy spice, also ask for their spicy salsa, which adds a nice kick, as well as a unique flavor of its own. Prices have gone up, but you get a decently generous amount of pork in both. I will say the pork is sometimes overcooked and the textures are okay. For example, the fries themselves don't stand out. Nice open area to just hangout with friends and grab some food. What a great experience after a busy day at Knotts! Super lively with great staff who are super friendly. Food came out fast and super fresh. We ordered a bulgogi beef bowl, chicken bowl, and loaded fries. Everything was delicious, down to the sauces served with the fries. Came on a Friday. This place gave me mix feelings. They didn't even bother changing the name of the restaurant. All I could see was a building w another name on it, and it wasn't TIMs AVENUE. Another spot that has been bookmarked in my Yelp list for far too long. I realized that I actually have been in this area but didn't realize that Tim's Avenue was located in that plaza. It could be that they had a sign called Olligo Grill so it confused me for a hot minute. If you love all things flavor and are craving Korean fusion, this spot hits the spot and they're open until midnight, and sometimes until 1am (check their hours). There was no one in front of us, so food was prepared pretty quickly and we were out within 10 minutes. They don't seem to have online ordering (which I think would help immensely) so I do recommend calling your order in if you don't want to wait too long. The bulgogi bowl I got was great and they weren't shy with the amount they gave me. The loaded fries were also delicious. The storefront is nice and clean. I believe they've actually changed their name so it's not Tim's Avenue anymore, but it still says it on their entrance door. There is one downside that keeps this place from five stars. Absolutely the best late night food post movie or studying !! The area this place is located is a bit sketchy, but you can easily tell Tim's avenue's storefront from bright pops of orange and blues and the many people that come and go. They specialize in Korean fusion cuisine with their pork belly fries being their number 1. The portion they give you for the pork belly fries are huge and its definitely enough to feed two people. They use thin straight fries that stay crispy for the entire duration of the meal and they don't skimp out on their equally as crispy and juice pork belly. If you feel like you need a bit more sauce, you can go up to the counter and they are happy to give you their tim's sauce to add. We also got the bulgogi tacos were so sooooo unexpectedly good as we've gotten this before but it was a bit dry. This time around they loaded us up with so much juicy meat and plenty of onion to balance it out. Bulgogi Taco ($3.50): Packed with meat, topped with cilantro, onions, and chipotle crema with a side lime. First thought was the taco was a bit pricey, but the portion of meat made up for it. A bit on the sweet side, but it was what was expected since it is bulgogi meat. Pork Belly Fries ($16): This comes with glazed Pork Belly, Pico De Gallo, cilantro, sesame seeds and Tim's sauce. I asked what's in the Tim's sauce and the lady mentioned it was mayo and mustard (I opted to have this on the side for a little pick and taste because I'm not a fan of those two sauces), but I didn't receive it at all. Overall it's a fairly large portion that could easily be shared by two. The fries was giving me Mcdonald's vibes and the pork belly was surprisingly not skimpy. Good to share for two, but most of the pork belly I received was the fatty portions. Hands down the most delicious food I had have in a while! We tried their chicken sandwich, buffalo Parm wings (they ran out of soy garlic) and their pork belly fries. Their prices are a little bit high, but after tasting the food I can see why. The quality of the food is so good and fresh. The pork belly was extremely crispy.
