Needless to say, I called him out to assess our Rinnai system issues and to make a long story short, he along with his brother, father and 2 sons came out and completely reengineered/replaced the entire system, in a single day no less, and it has been working flawlessly ever since! The reason I'm holding garden house plumbing company accountable is because they should, prior to the foundation work, check to see if they have what is needed for the hydrostatic plumbing test and quote how much it will cost if there is will a cost. With that making the home owner aware of how much to expect to pay and giving the opportunity to choose to continue with the foundation work or choose another contractor. When there is a condition to the test and that this condition voids the warranty the lack of transparency is a total disregard and disrespect with the consumer. Marco Munoz did a great job explaining but only provided this explanation of the hydrostatic plumbing test per my request after the foundation work was done and I found out I'd get no warranty for it. This should have been provided along with the contract since Douglas Foundation assigns then to do the testing. If they are a reputable company and respect their customers I hope they will stop doing business in partnership with crooked, dishonest Douglas Foundation repair.

Then he looked into our temperature screen that wasn't showing temperature we set it to be and basically said: "it's fine". We were in shock. And $208 for "minor troubleshooting or diagnostic on specific part of the system" as states on the receipt. - so I guess looking at the screen and toward direction of the filter cost us $208! We were absolutely confused how we are paying for diagnostic and person didn't even go outside to look at our outside unit. Asked him to do that - got hit with $612 more dollars. So $919.08 and our issues wasn't even fixed, it was "diagnosed". After that we were provided with option change the part ("the cheapest option" for $3110.92, when apparently this part costs $400 everywhere else. Or change outside unit completely to some old-technology unit for 7869.56 just because it's not "new". In comparison, we could've change a whole AC system for cheaper and better units.

Their tech Evan diagnosed a bad expansion valve on my year-old evaporator coil and replaced it under the manufacturer's parts warranty. When that didn't fully fix it, Evan came back, zeroed in on the coil itself, and replaced the whole thing ... putting what I'd already paid toward the job. Four visits, same tech every time. Best part: when the first repair didn't hold, I told their dispatcher I'd consider a whole new system. She talked me out of it and said Evan would give me an honest assessment first. He did.
