Sadly disappointed!!! I have enjoyed filipino food for more that 50 years. The lumpia reminded me of a doggie treat (21/2 inches long, dark brown and fried hard) . The owner said it was just a recipe from a different province. I have eaten in different provinces and my filipino friends (that cooked meals for me) were from different provinces. I have never seen anything like what we were served. Not only that it didn't taste good. The pancit had a dearth of vegetables that would have given it more flavor. I saw a small piece of cabbage, four slivers of carrots and two small pieces of green onion. The cashier didn't know what kind of fish was on the menu and never asked if we would like soy sauce. after all that, I did not want to try other entrees for fear that I would be more disappointed. Lady in the front is sweet- and attentive- But the guy short bald with glasses is rude! Waited for longanisa for 1 hour to be ready.! This place is tucked away a little bit off of redwood in a small shopping center. I came here in search of some yummy Pancit and had to get Lumpia as well of course. The place was empty but it was about 4PM on a Saturday so it wasn't quite dinner time. All tables were clean and there is plenty of seating. I got my food to go, I was able to get a 12 piece Lumpia for $5 and oh. my. gosh. That is some super good Lumpia!! I will definitely return just for those. Wow!!! My mind is blown. I cannot think of the last time I met such friendly people. I stumbled across BFF by accident. I was actually planning on eating next door. The shop was so bright and had such a great feel that I just went in to take a peak. I left with appetizers, dinner, and dessert. I got to try so many different dishes. I liked everyone of them!!! Me and my buddy were in town and decided to give this place a try. We are both Filipino and were tired of bar food. (We also wanted to see how big of a Filipino population the area has). It was definitely worth the 25 minute drive from Camp Williams. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a smile. The lady behind the counter was very nice. We were sharing stories about Filipino food and times back in the Philippines. My buddy got the dinaguan and the Bicol express with rice. I had the dinaguan and beef caldereta with rice. We also got an order of lumpia aka egg rolls. ALL the food was good. I'm not saying that just to be nice. It was all delicious. The lady was so nice, she gave us a plate of menudo since she made too much and they were about to close. Really liked this place. The service was great and the sweet lady at the counter explained what everything was and let us sample items since there really isn't a menu. The pork adobo was really good and so was the stewed beef with potatoes and carrots. It's cafeteria style low key atmosphere and cozy enough to sit and talk. One review said that the food server didn't wear gloves when serving but we found that she wore gloves and then called another person from the back to cash us out. So maybe they listened? Place is clean, people were extremely friendly, and the food was SO GOOD and very authentic. You get a lot of bang for your buck. I got the Sisig and it was delicious.
