George and BGM Movers handled the moving of my large seven piece bedroom set to the home of the buyer today and they were excellent! I was referred to him by someone and I am so glad to have found him. Both myself and the buyer checked the prices of other moving companies before we found George. The distance from my place to the buyer's place was only 5 1/2 miles. All the companies we called had a minimum of three hours work and they would give us an hourly price but there were all kinds of extra fees that we might be charged but they would not give us a price for that, and I had read where others had been charged almost double their estimate due to the extra fees. George gave us a firm price and although the job took a good bit longer than we had expected he did not ask to be paid for that extra time. As a special favor he even moved the buyer's old furniture into another room for free. Of course he got a very nice tip from the buyer and I hope that this review lets anyone looking for a mover know that George is a nice, honest person, his prices are great, and his work is very professional. read more

I recently got into a REALLY horrible situation with a different mover...you see I had originally hired & agreed on a price w the original mover but once they loaded their truck, the originally mover changed the price halfway through the move essentially holding all of my items for hostage. Instead of paying the original mover, I CALLED BGM MOVERS and the guy George came within one hour and literally backed his truck up to the other movers truck, loaded everything over to his truck and BGM TOTALLY BAILED ME OUT of a bad situation!! BGM Movers may be a company established on the more recent side, but George, the owner, has years of experience in the moving industry. After talking with him, he has worked for other well-known companies over the years so he knows exactly what he's doing yet has what others lack: authentic empathy and respect for his clients. I inquired on October 28 for a move around October 30. George responded with a couple of hours with his next available dates which were October 31 and November 1. I was so happy to book so quickly and close to my desired date, especially since it was a last minute request. Here are reasons why you should hire George and his crew! - fast and reliable communication - affordable hourly rate with no time minimum - never charges extra for stairs or long carries - wraps and unwraps furniture - takes apart furniture and puts them back together - places furniture in the exact location you want - offers TV mounting and if you don't get it done the day of your move, they will still honor the price quoted with the move The estimate on their website where you should allow 2-3 hours per room is accurate. We moved from a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment to a 3-level townhome-style apartment with 2 bedrooms, a loft, and patio which took about 7 hours. George is seriously the best! Shout out to BGM movers for getting my (already broken) bed and things safely upstairs to my new place. Professional attitude, careful work, and super-excellent customer service! + No minimum hours (like every other moving company) + Generous truck space for 1bd/ba + Quick response & respect for your belongings I'll be the first to admit EVERYBODY'S mistake that the mentality of "few boxes here and there with some furniture" is *NEVER* going to take as little hours as we think. I made that beginner's mistake and accounted for fewer hours than actually needed (hellooooo furniture disassembly and going up a staircase??). BGM movers are efficient, but also take the time to do things right. In addition, they are super understanding when I told them I didn't account for the additional needed hours. We worked out a cost that was both fair to them while helping me keep within my budget. Also, George is so handy! He not only helped me move my previously mentioned broken bed (cheap ass slats), but also made it more stable. I basically got a move + furniture fix in one! :D TLDR: Moved my furniture safely and efficiently, gave me a fair rate, started with a broken bed now it's stable. read more

My plans fell through the night before I planned to make the big move from Northern CA to LA, so I called George at BGM the night before and was so nice over the phone and was more than happy to accommodate my last minute request to help the very next day. I ended up having some setbacks on the road and was late meeting them at our scheduled time, but they were so awesome and waited for me. Top marks for George and his crew. They helped me with two moves, one of which being on short notice when my other movers fell through. His flexibility on timing (duration) was important and allowed a better fit for our needs. He is friendly and helpful. The quality of work is great and far beyond what I even hoped for. They were very prepared and provided all of the moving/packing materials that we didn't even know we needed, and for free. I reached out to George to move i noticed he was the ONLY person who didn't have a 3 or 4 hours minimum like everyone else. super polite over the phone and very reasonably. Set up for the following Sunday, i honestly had a little more things then he may had expected. i called him back to change things up as far as what to move he didn't try to mark up the price ridiculously like most people would, i was so relieved. Moving day he and another guy came and moved everything even wrapped my couch i was willing to just throw my couch on the truck as is, i thought that was really sweet, honestly who cares about others property?? most would want to just hurry and get the job done, not in this case which felt great. Moving to the new place was good as well loved the service. This was an easy stress free moving experience thanks to BGM movers!!! If I had better sense, I would've had these guys move me, instead of the (nice) thugs that did the job. My couch couldn't fit into my elevator because it was too big (older building and small elevator) and my idiot bldg manager and security guy mixed up the communication, so my original guys couldn't walk it up the stairs... 5 long assed flights of stairs. The bright side is at least I wasn't moving into my last place, which was on the 16th floor. The original moving guys took the couch to their storage unit and I picked it up a week later...blah blah blah fast forward, BGM Movers were moving some items for another tenant and I asked them to help me put my couch down in my garage area. Not sure how much time went by, but I contacted George through the BGM Movers website and asked him if his company could move my couch up the long assed flights and he said yes. He and another guy showed up, brought the couch around the block and brought my heavy assed 7ft monster of a couch up the stairs, in what I deem as record time, without charging the absolute rip-off minimum 3 hour labor fee that most movers charge. I will forever use these guys and I will forever recommend them. These guys were professional, thorough and I couldn't be happier with the price.
