Lee and his team came and moved my storage unit to my new apartment. They walked in and my storage space was packed so badly, yeah bad enough that there was a huge collapse of boxes and furniture, which left a big mess. I used this company a fews weeks ago to move my belongings into storage. My movers were Anthony, and 1 other guy, i do not know his name. They provided the extra boxes that i needed, and got everything moved from my house to the storage area within the 3 hrs that i was quoted. My only issue is not with the movers, but the company its self. I called ahead of time and asked about what exactly i would be charged for/hidden fees. The guy on the phone told me i would be paying about $362 for everything. I ended up having to pay $485. i was charged $50 for a "CA law double drive time fee" which i was NOT told about over the phone. They also charge an extra 10% to use your card, which sucks because i had only brought enough cash for what i was quoted over the phone. EDIT: shortly after posting original review, i sent the screenshot to the mover like he asked (he's been harassing me for weeks for one) He now seems upset i left an honest review. I did not speak badly of him as a mover, but my complaint was of what the company had told me. Now he's upset he won't get whatever bonus they get for 5 stars. I only leave honest reviews, and won't lie just so you get praised. Because of his behavior, i will no longer use this company again. Jason and his team were quick at work. They professionally wrapped the furniture to protect it. They've split each room at the the 3bd apartment, and each guy was responsible for the room he worked in. Jason supervised each of the rooms & keep his crew moving. While the movers were courteous, and did a good job packing the truck, the management did not follow directions, or do any research for the delivery location. I specifically told them that they might need chains as where they were delivering was in the mountains and they did not bring them. We packed our entire home, and at the last minute had to rent a storage unit because they refused to even TRY to get up the hill to our home. We now don't have most of our belongings, and they still charged us the full price. This review is a bit late, but I hired Best West Moving on May 13th to help me move all of my family's belongings from an outside storage shed to an indoor Public Storage Unit. I explained to them what I needed done and gave them the zip codes of the starting and ending point. They were quick to give me a quote and told me all of the extra complimentary packaging items I could use. Communication: Perfect! They were clear about their pricing, how the mileage works, confirming multiple times the date, time and location. Service: They were prompt and on time! The two gentlemen who helped me were Antony & Mike. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic all workers are taking extra precautions and wearing both Mask and Gloves. They called 30 minutes before arrival but I missed the call. VERY polite, listened to all my instructions and made sure handle all of my belongings with care. They had some complimentary boxes I could use which was perfect. (There is a limit on how many free boxes they can give you.). They worked quickly but diligently to get all my stuff loaded onto the truck and unloaded into the storage unit. They work with a 3 hour min but we finished within 1hr and 45 mins!! The distance between locations was under 10 miles. Payment: They accept various forms of payment which is awesome and give you a legitimate receipt. They accept card however they did not have their card reader on them. Their boss was willing to drive over with the card reader, but I opted to pay them via Cash App instead which went smoothly! If you're not tech savvy and are old school let them know ahead of time that you will be paying with card and for them to bring their card reader. Overall: I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received! Their rates were fair, the gentlemen worked fast but with care, clear communication, easy payment options and awesome complimentary perks. I had a lot of anxiety about this whole move situation since it was thrown at me last minute and I wasn't prepared, however Best West Moving made this the most EASIEST and STRESS FREE day possible!!! 10/10 I would definitely hire them again. read more

Not dependable! They cancelled the day of the move. This company seemed reliable based on my initial communications over the phone and their reviews. The person I spoke with accommodated my dates, was helpful, and pleasant. When the movers arrived, however, they were late, unprofessional, and did not speak English. One guy, the one that spoke moderate English was afraid of my 6lb yorkie so he kept scurrying away in fear not able to focus on our conversation. I gave them instructions and showed them the furnishings to be moved then after disappearing for 20 minutes they returned to notify me that they were cancelling on me. Apparently they were not prepared with materials needed plus the issue with my tiny dog so they literally just bailed on me! As you can imagine it is crucial to have everything to operate in a timely manner for a move so a same day, on the spot cancellation is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE and UNPROFESSIONAL. I have a disability. I needed help moving 5 bins into a storage unit. I was told they were sending "best guys for the job". The movers were stupid. They used MY equipment instead of their own for transporting the bins (wasting time and $), saran wrapped my paintings, even though I had blankets and rope. I sent pics of the unit as is, w/ highlighted boxes of what I needed boxed - & my father went with them. The mover didn't look at any of the pics I sent. They threw my stuff into the storage unit, didn't box anything I asked for, and they broke the only piece of furniture I had. He overcharged me $70, adding an extra tip for himself that he thanked me for AFTER I had paid, even after I had given him all of my cash. The storage unit was such a mess, my father and I were forced to go fix it together the next day, causing us to miss our check out time at the hotel. They caused me more stress and more money to fix their botched up job, and it made both me and my elderly father's health conditions worse. I would NEVER recommend this business. These guys charged $109 an hour to move 5 bins, and took advantage of me financially as a woman with a disability. No follow up from business, just a rip off job. read more
