Amazing authentic Thai food with great wait staff. Do be careful because the food is spicy, so make sure to order at the proper "heat level" for your comfort. It takes a little while for your food to come out, but you can tell that it was cooked fresh, and all of the veggies are very fresh. The poor waitress had to refill my water nearly a dozen times (yeah, I was a little too cocky about my spice level), but was very nice and attentive. I haven't used the takeout service, have only eaten in the restaurant. It isn't a swanky or classy atmosphere, but I am more interested in fresh, tasty food when I eat out than surroundings anyway. During COVID-19, doing takeout at the Mt Laurel location and delivery from the new Marlton location. We were missing this place, so we ordered our favorite drunken noodles and pad see ew with a side of curry puffs. The food was delicious as usual. Always extremely friendly service. Food is very good but last night the service was awful. We waited an hour for our meals and watched people come in after us, get served, pay their bills and leave while we were still waiting. Terrific lunch and great service today! We both opted for the hot and sour soup. I'm serious that it was absolutely fabulous with lots of unusual fresh mushrooms. It was hot and spicy but not unbearable. Delicious! We hadn't finished our soup when the entrees came. I ordered drunken noodles with shrimp. The entire dish was delicious. I could not wait to write my review for this awesome place to eat. Service was good, and the food was GREAT. I was craving drunken noodles so bad and I forgot about Bhan Thai right around the corner. It's small enough to feel intimate but big enough for their crowd. If you want to eat dinner here I recommend calling ahead of time in case there is a bit of a rush. Their menu is extensive and offers something for almost everyone. My boyfriend and I came here for lunch. We both got drunken noodles and ordered their special, the crab and shrimp dumplings (because I'm a dump fan). Both were cooked to perfection, and perfect portions. They also specialize in drinks, they have different thai coffee's and tea's to select from. I ordered a unsweetened thai tea and it was pleasant and refreshing. I have been a loyal customer for years but no more after today. The service and my treatment was so beyond anything I've experienced at other establishments. I was a part of a group order for lunch and I was the designated pick up person. I work about 15 minutes north and when I arrived they couldn't find the order my co-worker called in. After some questioning we determined my coworker accidentally called the Marlton location. I was told I needed to go there to get it. I tried to explain that I don't have enough time on my lunch to go to Marlton and asked if I could reorder. They would not allow me to order any food. I asked for a Manager and they said there was no-one else I can talk to. So, I wasted my entire lunch and had no food for myself and co-workers. They treated me like I did something wrong and obviously do not value loyal customers. I've been hearing amazing Ploy Siam Nui and now they will be my go to and recommendation to all going forward. So, the owner blamed me and make inaccurate statements in her reply. Another example of poor customer service. I never said it was an order for 15 people. I said I was coming to pick it up from 15 minutes away (further North). It was 3 items one of which was a soup. So, unfortunately, it wasn't physically possible for me to go to Marlton and pick up the order and get back to work without it being an issue for me at work . I didn't have that option. So after my edit, the owner went in and modified her response to correct her errors and she originally asked how I had time to wait 30 minutes to cook for a party of 15 to now up to 45 minutes for a 2 items and a soup. I understand my coworker called the wrong location but now she's changing her story and her facts when presented with the unreasonableness of her establishment to not allow me to purchase lunch. read more

The food was not well pre-pared and when I called with my concern I was advised that no one present at the location had the authority to review my concern or make amends. Do I have to leave a star? Fine, so be it. The food is ok. The only reason I've kept coming back is because it's the only Thai restaurant within reasonable driving distance for takeout. The curry was awful the last time I got it, very spicy but no flavor at all. It was like I was eating a liquid hot pepper. The noodle dishes are decent, but definitely nothing to write home about. Tonight we ordered takeout and were told half an hour. One hour and change later, we finally got our food. My husband had to stand around for half an hour just waiting. He had already paid upon arrival, otherwise he would have just left. The least they could have done was offered him something to drink, but nothing. My honest advice would be to stay away and drive to A Little Thai Kitchen in Marlton. I will definitely never return here again. read more

I'm not the guy that would suggest Thai when deciding on what to eat, as I have not found a lot of places good for Thai food (it's typically very watery curry, and they skimp on the shrimp/chicken/beef). That being said, Bhan Thai is maybe thee best Thai food I've ever had! We've dined in a few times (it's BYOB) and we take out fairly regularly. There are several spice levels (1-5 Stars is how they dined the spice level). It's a bit of a hike for us, but totally worth it!
