This actually wasn't our first choice this evening, but a couple of other options were closed for the holiday, so we decided to give Mo'bettahs a try.
We dined in. Parking is a little interesting while the initial opening surge is happening as the drive through blocked the entrance to parking.
It's counter service much like a Chipotle style where you make your selections right there as they build it.
My dining partner and I both had "Regular Plates" which comes with 2 proteins, rice and another side (choose from mixed veggies or macaroni salad.
I opted for a double of teriyaki chicken and just doubled up on white rice for the sides.
Dining partner was going to order teriyaki chicken and another protein but the other selection was out and we had already been in line for a while, so she doubled up on the teriyaki chicken as well.
The teriyaki chicken was really tasty with a smokey grilled taste (meats are grilled right there in view) and a flavorful sauce. Mine had just come off the grill, but could have been warmer by the time I got to eat it, but I blame that on the slow line (new employees learning the system).
Dining partner said hers was good as well. She said the veggies were not crisp (they didn't look it either) but were flavorful enough. Mostly broccoli and carrots.
As stated, counter service, self serve drinks. But of course their point of sale system wanted to include a tip.
Some seating inside.
Overall, I'd say the teriyaki chicken was good, and portion size on the 2 proteins was enough, but the regular plate was easily getting into sit down casual restaurant pricing.
They do have a rewards program so we'll see if that helps with value going forward.
Not sure if I'll be back, we'll see.
Hopefully service will get a bit faster once the newness has worn off a bit. read more
