This is our second time coming to Bibimboom and everything was just as amazing as we remember. The food was delicious, the place was clean and organized, and service was quick and excellent. The staff who served us were so friendly and attentive, I really wish I got their names. This time around, we tried their Bibimbap, Bulgogi, and Seafood Tofu Soup. The Salt & Scallion Pork was a top favorite of ours, so we got that dish again as well. Everything was soooo so good--very tasty and cooked to perfection! The soup was a little too spicy for me so I didn't eat much of it, but all the other dishes were just *chef's kiss* for me!

my hubby and i decided to try out this place out. 1. customer service was really bad overall. we were not greeted at all. within a few minutes just standin there a random employee came in and told us to put our names on the waitin list and we will be with you soon it took like bout almost 10 minutes just to sit down. 2. food- it was decent enough to eat. my hubby wanted 2nd round of kim chi etcc. the waiter totally forgot to give it to us and was diffcult to get their attention again, instead, we decided pay and leave. while paying for our dinner, the waiter asked my husband how was our dinner, he said fine, but they forgot our request for additional kimchee. the waiter apologizes and stated they will pack some sides to go with our dinner.

I found that the place that used to be here closed and saw people waiting to get seated, so I decided to come back when the wait was not as long. Got the salt & scallion pork dish. I love how the rice gets crispy on the bottom. The portion was decent as I was able to take home leftovers. The dish was pretty much hot the whole time I was eating it, so no worries about it getting cold! Lol! I want to come back and try the other items!

Really good Korean restaurant! Came to Bibimboom after finishing up watching a movie. The interior is nicely inspired with plenty of tables to sit. Service was really quick and attentive to get our order taken by Hana who helped us while we dined in. All of the food was really good as well! We ordered the Bibimbap, Kimchi Pancake, and Salt & Scallion Pork. My personal favorite was Scallion Pork since it was cooked to perfection and left us feeling full. During our visit they unfortunately did not have any alcoholic drinks, only soda which was not a problem (we really liked the barley tea). We will definitely come back since theres other items on the menu we wanted to try!

We left absolutely stuffed--Bibimboom is super generous with portions. For the food, we ordered the bulgogi and the kimchi pancake. The pancake was just okay; more like a Korean-style pizza with cheese, when I was expecting something closer to a traditional egg-based pancake. The bulgogi, though, was a standout: flavorful, perfectly cooked, and served sizzling hot. And the real highlight? Easily the best shaved ice in all of Mira Mesa. Good scoop of ice cream and it tasted liked coconut shavings yum! Not healthy but it's a good place to get your cravings met for some Korean food. Great service and it is a bit hard to park--the lot gets pretty full.

I went with a couple of friends for dinner on a Tuesday evening. We were immediately seated at a table inside and provided with appetizer side dishes (cucumber, kimchi, spinach, and bean sprouts). I tried the Bibimbap (beef), scallion pork, and garlic eggplant. While everything tasted good and came with dipping sauces, I would have liked a little more flavor. It was all cooked perfectly and tasted fresh.

Absolutely amazing food! Came in on a Saturday and got seated and served pretty quickly for lunch! The bibimbap is absolutely amazing and healthy! A wide mix of veggies with meat on a bed of delicious white rice in a hot stone bowl. The rice on the bottom crisps up for a delicious end to the meal! The beef crepe is a must get. It was beef in what tasted like a pretty egg heavy batter (PROTEIN RICH). Definitely coming back. Again ask for OZ and Hana, absolutely wonderful servers!

New Korean restaurant in Mira Mesa. Yum!! Cute spot with warm vibes. Food was delish, very comfort food. Liked the array of bonchons, and they tasted "clean" yet still flavorful. Service was also superb! Kudos Kyla & Shelly. It was poppin' on a Monday night, so they were kept busy running all the tables. Had a great experience, and 100% would come again!

Bibimboom was much more crowded than I thought it would be! The restaurant was packed when we got there. We put our name on the waitlist, and luckily only had to wait about 30 minutes. The standout dish for me was the salt scallion pork. It came out in a stone bowl that kept it perfectly hot the entire time, and the sauce really tied everything together. The crispy rice remained crispy in the stone bowl during my whole meal. We also tried the kimchi pancake. The flavor was good, but I do wish the texture was a bit crispier. The LA Galbi comes with a side of purple rice, and it sits on a sizzling plate with onions. Some of the galbi unfortunately came out burned, which was a bit disappointing. Also, I wish the onions that it came with were more caramelized. I appreciated the complimentary barley tea. The side dishes were quickly refilled. My favorite one was the kimchi, but I feel like the spinach and bean sprouts could have been seasoned a bit more. There were only two waiters for the whole restaurant, but they did a good job balancing everything despite how busy it was. Overall, this is a solid spot if you're craving Korean food.

We found this clean and cozy Korean restaurant with lots of good options of bibim hot bowls and some cold noodles as well. The servers are always very nice, they come with cold barley tea which I loved! I highly recommend this place and would come back many times.

Bibimboom has stone, clay, and iron pot dishes. We came on a weeknight for dinner as we were craving delicious savory Korean food and were shocked at how long the line and waitlist was at 7:30 pm! Thankfully we were able to get seats indoors to sit and the wait ended up being about 30 minutes which was faster than the one hour we were expecting. Our servers were friendly and we were served cold barley tea and side dishes soon after we sat. I really like the menu at this restaurant. It is one sided and has all the available dishes laid out clearly with the type of pot. We ordered the salt and scallion pork stone pot, the Galbi and the kimchi pancake. The salt and scallion stone pot was the easy dish of the day. The rice had the perfect texture: crispy without being burned and soft on the inside. This dish was bursting with flavor. Unfortunately, my galbi had some very burnt pieces which was disappointing for a $30 dish. Overall our servers were all very friendly and refilled our side dishes and got us everything we needed but they seemed a little overworked for the volume of hungry diners coming in and out. I would come back for the delicious salt and scallion stone pot!

We stopped by a bit later in the evening but Shelly and Jaden were great and very helpful. Loved the banchan especially the kimchi. We ordered the bibimbap, garlic pork scallion, bulgogi, and kimchi pancake. Definitely generous and large portions for the bowls. They also give complimentary corn tea. I would come back again to try the spicy chicken and galbi next time.

Food was actually pretty good and service was also decently fast. Kimchi pancake was extremely large and we certainly appreciate that! Definitely good value for money there. Flavor was also exceptional. It was soft and light and had that kimchi flavor but wasn't too overpoweringly strong either. It was fairly oily though so I had to press out some of that oil using paper towels. Spicy chicken entree item was really nice. Not too spicy and it also had some veggies in there which I appreciate. Sauce itself was delicious and I think the only downside is that there was not as many large pieces of chicken so it was hard to tell what was chicken and what was rice cakes. Friend and husband definitely enjoyed the beef bulgogi. I only tasted a little and it was definitely good. I was really excited about the Hot Stone Bibimbap, but it didn't deliver as much. Rice on the side was fairly crispy which was nice, but overall I think it was missing a little something. The Bibimbap sauce they gave on the side was a 10/10 though!

First off, there is free parking available, just circle around the building until you see a garage entrance for retail parking. Two hours for free! Let me first explain the aesthetics of this place. Clean and modern with mid century feel accented with greenery throughout. Please note that they won't seat you until most of your party is present. We came here for Happy Hour which was from 4-6pm from Tuesday to Sunday! This is fantastic that HH includes the weekend!!!! To start, got a wellness shot which had a meld of juices and ginger. A great drink to ready your palate. For cocktails, I tried the Suika Spritz, which was refreshing! The Absolutely Pho-nomenal definitely tasted like cold Pho broth but spiked. It wasn't my favorite drink, but glad I tried it nonetheless. Of course we ordered the $1 oysters, and ordered all three - Baja, Pacific Northwest, & East Coast. It came with some Asian fusion sauces to dress our oysters. My fave was the Baja as these were the freshest! All three were smooth and non briny. On the HH menu we also tried - Bulgogi Birria Vampiro - Tender meat with bulgogi seasoned beef on top of a tostada. Really liked the meld of the two cultures in this dish. Duck Liver Mousse - Comes with rustic bread & crème fraiche. Very duck forward. I liked this because it was rich with flavor. Stone Crab Taco - Loved the nod to Loganisa in this taco! This was by far, my favorite protein dish on the HH menu!!!! Regular Menu - Mango Nasturium Kimchi Salad - I absolutely loved this vibrant and fresh dish!!!! I had to go back for second and thirds! Shishito Peppers with Bonito Flakes - This was definitely a fun and flavorful dish with lots of umami. Dessert - Hotteok and Vanilla Ice Cream - this was my favorite dessert! The pancakes were flaky and delicious!! Bonbunja Tiramisu - Beware! This has a strong coffee taste. It reminded of the strength and flavor profile of a Vietnamese coffee. I can't believe it's not cheesecake - Definitely a mix of a brûlée but with a cheesecake flavor. Confusing but works lol. We met the executive chef, Kyler, who explained and served some of dishes we ordered. The entire staff was so accommodating and even reminded us if we needed our parking validated! Our water never ran empty and our dishes were promptly taken away as we finished. Definitely a place to visit during HH since they offer amazing food and cocktail choices.

My wife and I went here for dinner expecting to eat great food based on all the high reviews and…read morethe upscale price, but we were instead left with disappointment and a big fat check with an unexpected automatic 20% gratuity fee for 2 people. Food: We got several appetizers and 3 entrees. We had the Mango Kimchi Salad, Bulgogi Birria Vampiro, Silkworm Pupa Tacos, Doenjang Risotto, Miso Lingcod, and Braised Short Rib. We got plenty of dishes to try, but unfortunately they were either simply mediocre or had an issue. The Kimchi Salad was too strong in spice and the mangos were unripe and hard. The Birria Vampiro was simply mediocre and sort of bland. Silkworm Pupa Tacos were again sort of bland. The Risotto was undercooked and crunchy instead of 'al dente'. Miso Lingcod had a very fishy taste and not much else. And the Braised Short Rib was too salty. Drinks: I got the Choi's cocktail and my wife got the Gangnam Style espresso martini. Both drinks were very well made and tasted great! Service: Unlike the food, the service was great! From the person who confirmed our reservation, to the staff at the front of the door, and to our server, they were all extremely friendly. We were celebrating an occasion, which we made known when booking and upon sitting down we got a handwritten card with a congratulations note. That was very unexpected and awesome! We also got a couple of complimentary cocktail shots from the bartender while we were there. Overall, I would say the staff and service was extremely good. Parking: The area of San Diego that Choi's is located is unfortunately very bad. Overfilled with homeless, drug addicts, and just plain shady looking people who roam the streets. I was overjoyed when I found out that they give you two hours of complimentary parking in a safe place! So to summarize: The staff that provide great service, the bartender with awesome drinks, and the free parking in a safe place simply do not make up for the main reason we were there: the food. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars instead of 1 was because of all these other factors besides the food. Before paying the bill and leaving, we did let the server know about the issues we found with the food in a very friendly and constructive way. She was thankful for the honesty and the feedback.
