Food took a bit to get out, but our server did bring out bonchon quickly, just a shame that it was only a few choices. We went through 2 servings of bonchon before our food arrived. The bibimbap was presented very well, and came with a side tray of condiments, including the requisite gojujang sauce. Unfortunately there was not enough sauce, and the bibimbap was pretty tasteless. I took a few sips of my wife's soup and we both agreed that it was just okay. The interior looks nice since it was recently renovated, and the ambience was nice. The servers seemed very busy and only checked on us once after food came out, and only after we flagged her down. Kimchi pancake: this wasn't very good. Thought it would be crispy like haemul pajeon, but it was gelatinous, chewy and oily. Bibimbap: served in a very swallow stone bowl, it had flavorful rice and a nice variety of seasoned vegetables. The bulgogi was just alright and a bit pricey for what you get. Pork scallion rice: this was the star of the meal and our favorite. Just wish there was more of the crispy meat. The egg yolk that you can break and run over the rice was a nice touch. Also, the panchan was very average. It came with kimchi, pickled cucumbers and a shredded cucumber appetizers. We liked how they offered complimentary chilled barley tea in addition to water. They do offer barley tea for free, which I liked. Their side dishes were just OK, but you are not here to eat side dishes. Honestly, just ignore that. I do like that you do have vegetarian option even though I'm not vegetarian. But having options are always a plus. Although this shopping plaza can get busy, we luckily had no issues on a week night. A quick look around revealed a clean and friendly restaurant and we were met immediately by staff. They provided us with complimentary tea instead of water but we were unsure what type it was. They start off with some sides which you can order more as well. They all had great flavor. We ordered the stone bibimbap which was very good. The only complaint would be that there was not enough meat for the rice portion. Some more veggies would have been nice as well. It came with a side of hot sauce and something else that we are not sure of but may have been dried seaweed. I would recommend adding on an extra meat plate. The pancake was just okay; more like a Korean-style pizza with cheese, when I was expecting something closer to a traditional egg-based pancake. Considering the amount of time I waited to get seated (which was around 45 min), the price, and the taste I don't think I would return Me and my partner ordered the yuk geon (forgot to take a pic) as well as the salt and scallion pork. The yuk geon was tasty but it was close to 16 bucks and considering how small it was I don't feel it was fairly valued. I think the worst offender was definitely the salt and scallion pork. I'm not sure how some of these reviews are raving about it being "life changing" but it is definitely just mediocre. Although it is salted well, the bowl consists of 3/4 rice and there is just a hint of scallion flavor. Service was good and the interior of the restaurant looks nice so no complaints there. There isn't anything wrong with how any of the food tastes but the prices of it and how much food you get doesn't justify both the wait and the flavor. Do yourself a favor and take 10 min to drive over to convoy from here and get some Korean food that will give you larger portions, a better taste and will most likely even be cheaper. read more

Bibimboom was much more crowded than I thought it would be! The restaurant was packed when we got there. We put our name on the waitlist, and luckily only had to wait about 30 minutes. The standout dish for me was the salt scallion pork. It came out in a stone bowl that kept it perfectly hot the entire time, and the sauce really tied everything together. The crispy rice remained crispy in the stone bowl during my whole meal. We also tried the kimchi pancake. The flavor was good, but I do wish the texture was a bit crispier. The LA Galbi comes with a side of purple rice, and it sits on a sizzling plate with onions. Some of the galbi unfortunately came out burned, which was a bit disappointing. Also, I wish the onions that it came with were more caramelized. I appreciated the complimentary barley tea. The side dishes were quickly refilled. My favorite one was the kimchi, but I feel like the spinach and bean sprouts could have been seasoned a bit more. There were only two waiters for the whole restaurant, but they did a good job balancing everything despite how busy it was. Overall, this is a solid spot if you're craving Korean food. read more

Thankfully we were able to get seats indoors to sit and the wait ended up being about 30 minutes which was faster than the one hour we were expecting. Our servers were friendly and we were served cold barley tea and side dishes soon after we sat. I really like the menu at this restaurant. It is one sided and has all the available dishes laid out clearly with the type of pot. We ordered the salt and scallion pork stone pot, the Galbi and the kimchi pancake. The salt and scallion stone pot was the easy dish of the day. The rice had the perfect texture: crispy without being burned and soft on the inside. This dish was bursting with flavor. Unfortunately, my galbi had some very burnt pieces which was disappointing for a $30 dish. Overall our servers were all very friendly and refilled our side dishes and got us everything we needed but they seemed a little overworked for the volume of hungry diners coming in and out.
