I was referred to OCBG from a friend who worked across the street and couldn't be happier. Cory helped me out with both of my bikes and was very nice and friendly. I took out my bike for a long ride after getting cleaned up and it rode AMAZINGLY. These guys rock and is definitely the go-to shop for bike repairs and services. Thanks for being so generous and accommodating. I will be returning for regular tune ups.

Watching GCN and other cycling YouTube videos, I've often heard the term "legendary bike mechanic"…read moreused from time to time, and I always wondered what that truly encompassed. I recently took the Park Tool class with Cory, and now I have a better understanding of what a bike mechanic legend is. His extensive bicycle knowledge was very apparent as soon as I saw him tinkering with bikes or my bike for that matter. I am extremely grateful that I didn't procrastinate or pass on taking the course. It was a fantastic experience and I was able to swap and upgrade parts on my bike "myself"--with Cory's support. I am honored I was able to do this with assistance from Cory. Since then, I have decided that, as long as circumstances allow, I will always take my bikes to their shop for servicing. I highly recommend both the course and their shop to anyone. You will not regret it.

They gave me educational advices that were succinct and delivered in a very personable manner. I am very much a beginner to the world of road bicycles and even though I went for the Madone, I was not made to feel ashamed and they assisted me a non-condescending manner. I left the store with not only a new bicycle that I love, but a sharper mind and a newfound appreciation for the hobby of cycling. Once again, thank you to Eric and Bryce for taking all the time with me, even though it was bordering on closing hour. Throughout my extensive interaction with them, I can confidently say their goal was not to make a sale, but to equip me with the most informed decision. The purchase was big, but I made it with no regrets. I have been to many other establishments before coming here, and other bicycle shops NEED to learn from TREK Tustin!

The entire team really took their time with us and made sure we felt comfortable every step of the way. A special shoutout to Juan--he helped us right after his lunch break and still gave us his full attention. He took the time to get to know us and made sure my husband and I found the perfect fit. You can tell he genuinely cares, and that made all the difference. We ended up walking out with TWO bikes and couldn't be happier! The level of customer service here is top-tier, and the whole team made this such a fun and easy experience. We'll definitely be back--next stop, getting our oldest son a bigger bike! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quality bikes and an even better team behind them.

Saturday: Visited for a bicycle tune-up consultation near Chapman College/Orange Circle area. Discussed needed services with friendly mechanic: rear cassette, chain, spoke repair, derailleur adjustment. Due to their busy day, agreed to return Tuesday for pricing/terms when me and the mechanic could speak more about terms. Tuesday: Kim (likely the owner) said the mechanic was at lunch (30+ mins). I left my bike; she promised he'd call upon returning. She called 30 minutes later but wouldn't connect us--just offered another callback. He never called. Wednesday: Another mechanic confirmed a $200 estimate but wouldn't commit to exact cost. Promised to call before repairs. No call came. Next day: Received voicemail saying bike was ready. Upon arrival, Kim rushed to retrieve it from the back. When I requested an itemized invoice before paying, she said "It will print out after you pay." After transaction: Bill was nearly $90 over estimate. They replaced brake pads without asking (they were fine), charged for a "SEVERE" alignment without permission or notification, and added $20 for "shop supplies and disposal." When challenged, Kim claimed the mechanic told me the cost and asked if he called (he didn't). She brought the mechanic over--he admitted fixing the spoke but denied charging for it. She almost threw the receipt back, saying "there you go." He also admitted that he had promised to call me before proceeding and didn't. The shop gave me a plastic bag with service trash, but notably the removed "bad" brake pads were missing from it.

One needed a simple hydraulic break blead/replenish. The other one an electrical problem. Marc called me back requesting photos - I sent via text the same day. Fri, May 8: I have not heard from Marc, so I text him asking if he will be able to work on the ebike. He texts back "Yes". I text back right away, "awesome, when would you like me to bring them in." No response. Mon, May 11: I follow up asking when to bring in the bike. He replies "tomorrow". We settle on Wed, May 13. Wed, May 13: I meet him at his "shop", which is really just a storage garage. No employees, so he must just meets people there to drop off and pick up bikes. We review what needs to be done again, and he says he will give me feedback "in a couple of days" (which would be Friday). Fri, May 15. No word from Marc. I figure he is busy, so I will wait until after the weekend. Tue, May 19. Still no response from Marc, so I text asking for an update. No response. Wed, May 20. Send another text asking for an update. No response. Thu, May 21. I call Marc for an update. He NEVER answers his phone anymore. Later in the day, he texts me saying "let me give you an update at 5". I respond "sound good, thank you". He never calls or texts me at or after 5pm. Fri, May 22. Send Marc a text asking for an update, and call him as well. Does not respond to either. Now we are headed into Memorial Day Weekend, so I figure there is no way I will hear from him over the long weekend. Tue, May 26. Call Marc and send him a text asking for an update. He responds saying "I can't figure them out, can you come by and pick them up later today." At this point, I just want to get my bikes back, so I respond telling him I will need to leave work to get my bike rack. I do that and text him again around noon, saying I can be there at 12:30 - does that work? - no response. I then suggest 1:00pm - no response. I call several times and text. Finally he responds "Dave, I'll be there at 4." I confirm. I arrive at 3:37 and text him saying I am here. 4:15 I text him asking for his ETA. He responds "4:31". Then a few minutes later he responds saying he left his keys in Irvine, he can either meet me later or tomorrow. I respond immediately asking what "later" means. No response. I wait at his shop for 1 hour and then leave with no response. I also try calling him, but he NEVER picks up his phone. I then text him asking what time he wants to meet tomorrow morning, he responds, "11". Wed, May 27. We both show up at his shop at 11. He is very dismissive, just opens the garage, gets out my bikes and says "sorry I could not figure this out". I say that's OK, and tell him he just really needs to be more responsive. I then ask him if he realizes that his lack of communication is a chronic issue (many complaints on Yelp and even BBB). He then looks square at me and says "you are NOT my customer". No kidding. He then follows up by telling me how he cannot work on these "3rd party bikes". I ask him why he did not say that in the first place. We parted ways. Three weeks of no work, and no communication. So glad this nightmare is over.
