I went in there not knowing anything about road bicycles and the sales guy by the name of Richard asked me a few questions about my riding projective. He brought out 4 bikes and let me ride each one. The first 2 bikes were aluminum but had different components and the last 2 were carbon, again with different components. He was very honest, wasn't pushy and very knowledgeable during the whole process. You are buying something pretty expensive so don't expect to pull the trigger right away, esp if you seriously getting into this sport. I came back 3 weeks later after doing my own research on what kind of road bike I wanted, how much my budget allowed me and low and behold, Richard was there to help answer any of my questions I had. He also got me offcially fitted (not very comfortable if you have used this contraption before) and hooked up the gear. Unfortunately my frame size wasn't there but they managed to transfer the bike I bought, in my frame to the store. The guy in parts, Ulysses, is a bit of a talker but very cool once you talk to him more. haha All in all, if you have questions don't be afraid to ask. If you are just browsing, they give you plenty of room to look, touch etc. If you want to ride a bike, simply ask them. How would they know what you are thinking if you don't ask anybody. They don't work on commission so don't expect a salesman to flood you like you would at a car dealership!! read more

I have to agree with the service it sucks! I must really wanted a bike there because I went back 3 times. All three I was ignored....It's safe to say I didn't buy a bike there. Well had the need to get my folding Dahon bike some new tires, which are just super bald. So went here on Sunday and ordered them as I waited for my car's AC to be serviced, but more on that one in my next review. As for the store, opens kind of late for a bike shop, but at least they are open on Sundays...but they open at 11am. Pretty ok customer service, and good selection of bike and bike related products. Lots of bikes, and even one folding bike too. Mostly Giant brand bikes, but i think i saw a couple of other brands as well. But definitely a lot of accessories for sale here. As for my visit, they didn't have my tire size on hand, but they were willing to order it for me, and it should come in tomorrow if everything goes as planned. Apparently my size tires are not something most places have on hand, 20" x 1.50" is just a standard size for folding bikes, but not one most bike shops have. So nice place to go if you are in or around Chula Vista, and need some bike parts or accessories, well bikes too for that matter. read more

First time buying a bike from a bike store. I had a great experience. They knew their bikes and made recommendations. I needed a weekend bike for riding on the road and maybe some dirt and they recommended a hybrid bike. He was very helpful and attached all the additional components I bought. They let me test out the bike in their massive parking lot in the back. Just be careful I was bitten my mosquitos there. lol read more

Today I purchased my 4th mountain bike (Trance Advanced 27.5 1)from Bicycle Warehouse. The first three bikes I purchased from the Kearney Mesa location and this one from Chula Vista. Carlos Quintero went above and beyond for me!!!! His knowledge of the bikes and various components was outstanding. I was very specific on the two bikes I was interested in and he had one of them shipped from the Temecula store for me to have a side by side visual comparison and test ride. Marcos at Bicycle Warehouse is totally AWESOME!!! I took my bike in for some needed repairs. I had questions when I got the bike back. Marcos checked it out and sent it back to the service department, and even expedited the work. Also I highly recommend the "Flat Prevention" program. If you get a flat on your bike, Bike Warehouse will fix them free of charge for three years. Three months into the program, I've already had one flat repaired. Marcos will repair it in about 30 minutes or less (while you wait). I put about 10,000 miles on my bike a year, so the Flat Prevention really is great. The prices are really great and the "Team" does go the extra mile to make you happy. read more

I want to start off by saying that I rarely give someone a review but I think this deserves one. I bought myself a pre Father's Day gift on 06/13/20 and the very next day the front brakes on my bike were not working at all. I take the bike back to get it checked and got questioned if anything was done to the bike. NO! You sold me a faulty bike. Now, these guys want me to wait 1 week, "if I'm lucky is what the guy said", because it usually takes 4 weeks. I tried to help a local shop during this whole COVID19 situation and this is the thanks I get. I would've expected an exchange or an option for a refund but now I just have to wait. The only reason I didn't take the bike to another shop is because this bike is still under warranty. I was given the excuse that they are understaffed due to COVID19 which I believe but this shop is always busy and can afford to bring back some more people. After the warranty is over I'm not going back to this shop. Again, shop here at your own risk. read more

Need a bicycle disassembled. Everyone in town would charge $30-$60. The guy said he could not just disassemble it or at least charge me the price of disassembling, he said that he would have to charge me $180 for a custom build. Custom build? Your just taking it apart homeboy.. But obviously the job wasn't worth their time.. Lucky for me every other bike shop in town quoted me around $60 to disassemble.. Bad customer service deserves bad review. read more

After 5 other bike stops, we finally ended up here and wow, was that the BEST part of my day! Shopping for a BMX bike for a 13 year old kid is not a easy task, however Mike made this process a breeze!! We found a perfect bike for my son, he's extremely happy! I just bought a Raleigh Route 3 bike, with kickstand, rear rack and water bottle holder added. I felt they gave me adequate and prompt service, although somewhat less good than the Trek store on Lane Ave. in Eastlake Chula Vista.. They did not want me to take the bike on a ride beyond their back parking lot, but when I told them I needed to test the bike on a hill, they begrudgingly allowed me to do that, emphasizing that if anything went wrong (accident) they were not responsible. Trek just had me sign a waiver, held a credit card, provided me with a helmet and sent me on the way, with no reservations. Trek also provided me with a printout on the bike I was considering. B Warehouse did not. But price and bike mechanics prevailed, so i ended up getting the bike from B warehouse I think I a got the bike and accessories at a good price. Tuneup and repair policy appeared to be about the same between the two stores. read more

Hi, my name is Gloria and just had to stop and take the time to write a review, which I have only done twice for other business. We first talked to Marcos (Mark), he was soooo patient with us. He allowed us to test ride the bikes in their parking lot. We decided to buy two bikes, a bike rake and locks, etc.. The whole experience was so wonderful. Next, I receive a call from Debbie, I believe she was from HR business service. She wanted to know if everything was going well with our bikes. I explained that, because I'm recovering from a serious illness, I was not quite strong enough to lift and place my bike on the rack we bought, when I'm riding by my self. Debbie immediate said she was sorry about what I was going through and that she would call the Chula Vista office, to make them aware of my issue and that I would be going in to the store to look a different bike racks. Same day, I received a call from Marcos telling me they will be setting up 2 different bike racks for me to look at. Next day, I received a call from Carlos telling me he will be in store and would be helping me with anything I needed and again said, two bike racks would be available to look at. We were so surprise by how attentive this company and their employees were. We returned the original bike rack and decided on the rack that sits lower and tilts. We were able to return other things we purchased for the 1st bike rack at no extra charge. Carlos was amazing and again so patient showing us how everything worked. After that, I received a hand written note from Debbie with a necklace with a bike, (so cute), saying that they hope my healing and strength comes back quickly and thinking of me during this journey.
