Several hundred million gold stars for Biffs! Hands down the best onion bagel I've ever had. Almost all the bagels are vegan and they have lots of yummy cream cheese alternatives. The veggie deluxe was excellent with sprouts, crunchy walnuts & beautiful little pieces if artichoke heart. Nice atmosphere though it gets crowded with NAU kids. Never been to a better bagel house then this one.. Routinely stop for breakfast. It can get crazy busy, but when you have the best bagels in a 100 mile radius you gotta kind of expect that. Place was dirty, staff didn't wear gloves, touched money and then touched a bagel. Shouldn't have ate the bagel but, did anyway. After about two hours had a stomach ache and threw up and to my surprise the other person I bought a bagel for threw up too. So I'm guessing sanitary practices are not familiar here. As a former Flag resident, okay more like temporary displaced resident. Biffs is one of my favorite bagel places around. Great bagels, nice diversity of spreads made in house, and good folks behind the counter. If only one caution it would be the non-bagel baked goods can be hit or miss, but it's a bagel shop that is not why you go there. Afterthought - Other reviewers say accept credit cards, but unless there has been a change of policy they have moved to an ATM machine there, but don't accept cards anymore for purchases. So unless you want to pay the ATM fee find a bank on your way there. read more

Tasty! My daughter had a pizza bagel, which was flavorful but messy. I opted for the Veggie Bagel sandwich and it was delicious. I had never thought to put walnuts in a sandwich before, but they gave it great crunch. Biff's is a dog-friendly zone and my daughter loved seeing all of the pups with their owners. Bagels were delicious and the staff was very friendly. I ordered egg, cheddar and bacon on an onion bagel and I waited about two minutes for my food. Very fast service, I have no complaints. God awful experience. The bagels were ok, but overpriced for what you get. The place is dog friendly, but about half way through someone came in with their pet smelling like wet dog. Biff's is a wonderful local bagel shop. The bagels are perfect, crunchy and chewy on the outside and soft on the inside. The chew and the crunch forces you to eat slowly and savor the delicious flavor. Their cream cheese blends are homemade and the veggie cream cheese actually has fresh vegetables in it. They have changed their policies to make everyone safe. There are signs everywhere explaining their procedures and new policies. The staff was super friendly and we got our amazing bagels quickly. Easily the best bagels I've ever had! Unique flavors of bagel and cream cheese. My friend and I split a Mish Mash (everything) bagel with lox cream cheese, and a Spinach Parmesan bagel with garlic and herb cream cheese. Biff's Bagels was fabulous! I was very impressed with the options that they offered. When we visited we ordered the Salty Dog and the Lox Bagel with Smoked Tuna instead. Both of the bagels were fabulous and extremely delicious. Also the story behind the store is so sweet. As a dog lover, I enjoyed seeing the pictures of all the rescued and well loved dogs. I love this place. I don't visit as much as I used to when I lived in Flag, but now I visit every time I find a reason to escape Phoenix. Cute little place close to downtown. I loved the ambiance with all the pictures of dogs on the walls and how they promote the local shelters and give day old bagels to grocery stores catered to low income families. This is an awesome bagel spot. Get there a little earlier if you can, they make everything fresh so once they are out of stock for the day, they're out. I highly recommend grabbing some of their fresh juice as well.
