My good friend recommended the Coliseum to purchase my soccer gear and I had a great experience! The store is right off of the San Pedro exit on Highway 101 in San Rafael. It's a relatively small store, but they carry a large selection of merchandise. When I arrived, the employee working fit me for cleats. He was incredibly helpful and gave great suggestions for styles that fit my very narrow feet. I finally decided on a pair of Nike women's cleats, which were the last pair on sale (score!) He also helped me pick out a few pairs of socks and shin guards. I really appreciate all of the help from the crew at the Coliseum. I found everything that I was looking for during my visit and I plan to return for future purchases. If you're looking into buying gear in bulk, I was told that they offer discounts to teams. You know right away if the shoe on display has your size by looking down at the inventory stacked below. You won't find the latest greatest models of shoes but you will find something for your feet. Manage expectations. You aren't shopping at Nordstrom or even Neiman Marcus designer shoe parlours. I bought New Balance for my sweet mother in law. Then I bought a pair for my loving husband. They both LOVE their new shoes, the fit, and how it makes their bodies feel. I'm delighted that I have made straightforward no fuss purchases at a great price to persuade both of them to exclusively buy footwear that fits well from day 1 while supporting your body. I knocked off a star because while I do understand their great prices are due to self service and not stocking the latest style. I wanted the latest style New Balance like mine from Nordstrom. I was too lazy to drive to Nordstrom Corte Madera when I also wanted to take my MIL clothes shopping at the lovely Vintage Mall. I swear snails move faster and once the manager left, she tried to continue her gossiping over the registers and in between instructions for the customer. The selection is pretty broad and easy to find something you need no matter the occasion. And they have great brands that are well worth it. The second assistant was very helpful and willing to help me and work with me and she was able to locate me in the system. She said it would be totally fine for me to exchange the faulty jeans for a new pair in store. After finding a pair that were comfortable she came back to the fitting room and said I could no longer exchange the faulty jeans. They could patch them up for me ! A multi million dollar company is offering a patch up service on faulty jeans. This was the decision from the store manager at this branch who was sadly like a robot. No customer support and just a very lame Attitude to me as the customer. This store is possibly the worst experience I have ever come across in my entire life. To be saying one thing to a customer then only to retract the decision was highly unprofessional and totally sub standard. Madewell in Corte Madera turned out to be a shopping nightmare.
