First off I want to say that the gentleman at the counter was super friendly and courteous ( at the Sugarland farmers market) . As far as the food.... I just got half a pound of brisket but let me tell you . It disappointed. My family member got a bad stomach ache from it and said it didn't taste right. I didn't believe him so I ate some as well. It was worse for me, I never had such a bad stomach ache and nausea/vomiting from bbq before . Suffice to say I will not be returning unfortunately . Can't decide between a three or a four stars. The food was ordered on a delivery app. Let's start with the bad. The mac and cheese is kind of dry and not creamy. The potato salad is in a four oz cup. It also could be pre-made/store bought. My husband said it should have been double for the price. The bbq sauce was also a small portion but good a little watery. Ok now the positives. My service second time coming back wasn't as pleasant as it was the first time, I didn't know they closed at 8 and came about 10 mins before the time and definitely sensed an attitude which made me not even want to continue with my purchase. Ordered the 1 meat Jumbo potato thru the Uber Eats app, I ordered a loaded potato, which I didn't receive. The potato was bulky, not soft, no cheese, no chives and 1oz container of sour cream. 1- 1oz side of bbq sauce and 1- 2oz side of bbq sauce. Big 6 is the truth. I hate sausage. I hate 99.9% of sausage, no matter the filling. Big 6 has fresh-made sausage, made from a family recipe, and it is amazeballs. The texture is wonderful, the ratio of fat to meat is perfect (lending flavor and moisture, but no greasy yukness), and the spices enhance and compliment the obviously high quality pork. My meal: Cheryl's special plate (2 meats, 2 sides, 2 slices of bread, peach cobbler and drink) 17$ End cost: ~$20 Big 6 is located in a random plaza on HWY6 and Old Richmond, next to Frankenstein's grill & bar. Fortunately enough, you're able to see the truck from any direction you approach from since it's close to the highway. I had the pleasure of choosing "Cheryl's Special" with deer sausage ($2 for beef; $3 for deer) and beef brisket. My sides were potato salad and Mac & cheese. Brisket and deer sausage tasted good. Briskets weren't bone dry but definitely needed the BBQ sauce to accompany it and was a bit bland. The deer sausage wasn't bad, it just took me a few minutes to get used to me eating deer haha. They didn't have beef sausage which kinda disappointed me so i had to get the higher cost of sausage since i didn't like pork too much. Potato salad and Mac & cheese tasted great! Potato salad wasn't too overpowering and the Mac they serve are runny(I prefer runny Mac over its drier variant) Peach cobbler had to be my favorite part. Amidst all the protein and sauces you consume, the cobbler is almost the safe haven you search for after a heavy meal. The cobbler wasn't extremely sweet, but sweet enough to where you could enjoy the whole thing. Only bad thing i encountered was the lack of menu information on yelp. They have 2 options so that was good. Marble or lean. Sides I got smoked beans and Mac and cheese. Mac was good a little runny but the flavor was there. Smoked beans were good I'm not a fan of smoked beans but I ate theirs because the flavor was there. Plate 2: 2 meat plate ribs/rid tips and pork sausage. Not as many sausages as in plate 1 but ribs were good size and plenty of rib tips. Sides were mac and cheese and potato salad. Potato salad was put on the side and extremely good. Heard of this place maybe a year ago. Finally decided on stopping by, and oh my god. It was a good decision. It's now a red stationary stand. John the cashier was really cool and personable. After trying the beef brisket, I decided on getting a chopped beef plate with smoked corn and Mac and cheese. The beef was perfectly cooked and very moist. Didn't need any sauce at all, but they're sauce is also really great. I would buy the sauce alone. The mac and cheese was also amazing. I'm not sure what they put in it, but keep it up. It was so good that I rode to Sugar Land this past weekend for more and was disappointed. After waiting 20 minutes for my order, The nachos were warm and the chips were soggy and stale. 1/22/14 11:45am - I was eager to discover some great Food Trailer 'que based on some high rated hipster reviews, but found that Big 6 is more like a Medium 3. I scored Big 6 B Que a 79 out 100. This is Regional Texas BBQ. Smoke: Pecan. There is supposedly a wood fired pit inside the trailer. I was refused to snap a picture of the pit from the inside. There are 2 smoke stacks protruding from the top and a fire box that is loaded from the outside. A container of pecan next to the trailer. All you can see from the widow is a frame and wood door like a closet. There is not a lot of room for a wood fired pit but I'll take their word for it. Brisket: Fair. An 1/8in purple smoke ring and paper thin bark. Tested Dry of Tender and was close to being overcooked. Descent smoke flavor but not much else. Use the sauce. Ribs: Good. Once again slightly overcooked and on the dry side of tender. Overall flavor was salty pork and smokey pecan. It had a rub but the seasoning was long gone. Use the sauce. Sausage: Excellent. I have had several samples of what I presume is East Texas style spicy sausage and I love it every time. A course ground pork sausage with bold traditional spice and hint of cayenne pepper for a little heat. No sauce needed at all. Sauce: Excellent. A Kansas City style dark sweet thick sauce. It was sweet, tangy and smokey. Molasses and brown sugar flavors. So good you could spoon it for dessert. A good thing because this place needs a great sauce. read more

Sure enough there was a row of 3 trucks on this day. One bbq truck, a hotdog one, and a dessert one. It was what I always hoped it to be, a real gathering spot, with electricity too! I guess it takes being out this far to accomplish this goal. Well we opted for the BBQ one this day. I looked and I was not the first to find this place as the reviews go as far back as 2010. We decided to both get cheryl's special which is for $14 comes with 2 meats and 2 sides a drink and a peach cobbler! We decided just to order a wide variety and split it, the meats we got were the ribs, brisket, turkey, and sausage. The ribs were the best, tender, some riblet pieces, the brisket was next very flavorful, no sauce needed, the sausage was a not really my style the very course textured kind, and the turkey was well just turkey. As far as the sides the yams were the best! the beans were solid, the potato salad was good, and the corn was meh. And when I got the ribs ALL OF THEM WERE HARD AND BURNT to the point I hardly had any meat on them It was absolutely horrible and not worth the $50.00 I spent on this bbq. I've been passing by this little shack for over two years but finally decided to stop by and try it this past weekend. I ordered the three meat plate with sausage, ribs, and brisket. It also came with two sides, and I chose potato salad and their beans. It only took 10 minutes or so for the food to be ready, and the serving size was definitely enough for two people to share with leftovers. They provided jalepenos, onions, and pickles as well as plenty of barbecue sauce, which was nice. I wasn't a fan of the sausage or ribs, but I loved the brisket. Potato salad was also probably one of the best I've tried and had a really smooth consistency. Beans were awesome as well, and I never eat beans! They're drenched in their barbecue sauce and just a really good side to choose overall. Barbecue sauce has a very classic taste. Good stuff!
