Very poor in taste 1/10 food, lots of chilli pushed into your dishes for no reason. Hygiene and other constraints as well, it is a food truck rather than a dhaba or a restaurant. Very bad experience over all.

First food truck I've come across in Houston that sells Indian, but there were always a few people dining there whenever I drove by, so figured it was worth a shot. Ordered chicken tikka masala (spicy) with garlic naan, both freshly made when I ordered. Very tasty, and went well with the cold weather outside. Only complaint is that it is expensive for food served out of what looks like a converted U-haul truck. Probably won't go every week due to the price, but its worth coming back for a second trip.

My friend (a fellow Elite Yelper) and I were in the area and she suggested we get some Indian food from this food truck. She kept ranting and raving about how good it was and all I could think was... INDIAN FOOD FROM A FOOD TRUCK?! Smh & Lol. Well, I'm glad I tried it. I ordered the tiki masala chicken and garlic naan bread. That was probably the BEST Indian food I have ever tasted in my life and yes it came from a food truck. This little truck is parked in a gas station lot and has tent covered seating for your finding pleasure. It rivals any restaurant. Promise! The ingredients are fresh and the food is DELICIOUS! If I lived closer I would probably eat here every single day!

A food truck that don't move, like a bird in a cage. We were tied down at the mechanic shop next door, so choices were limited since walking is obviously out of the question without ac. The recognizable choices: Tandoori chicken is bland like a grey sparrow. Much more expensive than Popeyes a few hundred yards away. C+ Chicken ticks masala. Creamy, tasty, just enough spices and smoother than a rollsroyce. A Naan. Fluffy bread, just what Dr Atkins warned us about. 3 extra servings later, still A. Good spot to munch, weird atmosphere with lots of quiet drunken people. Spooky but enjoyable.

Mix the fascination of food trucks and the wonder of Indian Food and you get Tandoori Nite. A little out of the way from central Houston, but well worth the drive out to their location. This truck sits next to a gas station and has several picnic style benches under a canopy. On cold nights they have outdoor heaters and a fire pit going to allow customers to still enjoy the outdoor seating. The men that man the truck are always friendly and offer great suggestions. Unlike most food trucks, you place your order, eat and then pay for your meal. Their prices are reasonable and the food is great tasting.

I hate food trucks, I think they are a pretentious trend, but for some reason I was drawn to this place. Even still I really wanted to try this place out. Maybe because you don't really see that many food trucks in Alief and Indian ones at that, or maybe because I am just a fat ass... Some things going for this place is that it's really unique, it has a real working tandor in the truck, the menu is huge and diverse, and the family working there is really nice. Also the night I went there were lots of Indian families enjoying dinner...always a good sign. Even with all these positives though, the food just wasn't that great in my opinion. I ordered chicken vindaloo and told them not to take it easy on me. I love this spicy dish and this one just didn't bring it. It was pretty mild and had a very citrusy note which I'm not used to, plus there were only a few pieces of chicken in the order. Also I was thinking that since it was a food truck it would be pretty cheap, but the price is only slightly less than average, and you get less food than if you were to go to a real restaurant. I really want to like this place and maybe I just had a bad dish. I'm going to try this place a few more times with a few more dishes before I dismiss this place as just another trendy food truck...

We tried the turkey, brisket, and jalapeño sausage, and every one of them was delicious. The brisket was especially impressive--moist, incredibly tender, and so soft you didn't even need a knife to cut it. The sides were very good, but the meats were definitely the highlight of the meal. One thing we really appreciated was the toppings bar, which included pickles, onions, pickled onions, jalapeños, and two different barbecue sauces so you could customize each bite. They even had a mini soft-serve ice cream machine for a little dessert after your meal, which was a nice touch. They also offer family meal options, making it a great choice for larger groups. The restaurant was clean, had plenty of seating, and the staff was friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Parking can be a little tricky if you don't valet since the restaurant is located at the mall. We decided to test our luck and parked in the Purple Lot, which is free and only a short walk to the entrance. It worked out perfectly for us! As soon as you walk in, you can immediately tell that this is one of the most beautiful restaurants in the city. The décor is imported from India, and every detail feels intentional. The restaurant definitely has an elegant and luxurious vibe. Now, onto the food--it was also very good! We debated doing the tasting menu, but at nearly $200 per person, it felt a little too steep for us, so we decided to order à la carte instead. Our favorites were the Lychee Ceviche, Laal Maas, Chaanp, and Daal Musaafer. The flavors were on point, and every dish was rich, satisfying, and full of depth. The Malwani Fish Curry was also good, but it didn't impress us quite as much as the other dishes. For dessert, we tried their version of rasmalai. It was sweet but not overly sweet and was the perfect ending to the meal. They also surprised us with complimentary bubbles for our anniversary and a signed card, which was such a thoughtful touch. Overall, we had a pretty great experience at Musaafer. Justin, our server, was excellent throughout the meal. He explained the dishes and their backstories and even gave us a tour of the restaurant. The service really added to the experience. I would definitely come back. Musaafer is absolutely deserving of its Michelin star!

This is a nicely sized spot next to the Jusgo plaza in Houston Chinatown, so plenty of parking and also food options. It's tucked in a corner but should not be written off. We were provided menus and started ordering everything that sounded good (within reason for 2, sorta). We ended up getting the Uyghur polo with lamb shank, Uyghur goshnaan, korma chop, garlic cucumbers, mint tea, and a yogurt for dessert. This was more than enough food for 2 but I wanted to try a bunch and this is me holding back. The Uyghur goshnaan was very crispy and the filling was flavorful and juicy, good lamb flavor and nice spices. The Uyghur polo with lamb shank was great and the pilaf had a nice sweetness with raisins that cut through some of the fatty richness of the lamb. The korma chop was also super flavorful with a nice savory sauce and noodled with an excellent texture, very QQ. I don't usually order cucumbers at Asian restaurants cause I can make a cucumber salad pretty easily at home but the one here was very good. Excellent refreshing crunch and garlic flavor to go with all the other dishes. The mint tea was also nice to wash down the mountains of food I was inhaling. I also enjoyed the yogurt, it's a thicker yogurt like a Greek yogurt and topped with honey and raisins. Again, a nice sweet/tart treat that didn't feel too heavy after everything else. I definitely need to come back as I didn't even get my big plate chicken but it'll be hard to choose between all the options.
