Been frequenting Big Al's in Corona for a few years now, so my review has been long overdue. Learned of this place from a friend who lives in the area. Big Al's definitely has the style of pizza I personally enjoy...thicker crust, tasty sauce and fresh ingredients. If you enjoy Neapolitan style pizza, you'll really enjoy Big Al's. They also offer sandwiches and salads. Located in a strip mall on Green River Dr right off the 91 fwy. Place is kind of a throw back to when you would go with teammates after a game for pizza, drinks and games. It's suited for big gatherings with lots of tables and an assortment of games. Games spit out tickets to redeem for prizes. Dine in and take out are available. Not sure about delivery as I usually get take out. Walk up counter ordering for both dine in and take out options. Service is prompt and attentive. I've had employees offer me a drink while I wait, which is always a pleasant surprise and appreciated. It's the combination of really good pizza and really good service that keeps customers coming back again and again. Overall, I would definitely recommend Big Al's Pizza if you're craving a solid tasty pizza. read more

The 3.5 stars had me skeptical but I'm glad the kids voted unanimously to give Big Al's a try. This is less than half a mile from The Rinks & a great spot for after the game. They have ample seating, tons of games, & I was pleasantly surprised to really enjoy everything we got. Don't let the rating sway you like I did!! - 8 Buffalo wings ($8): perfectly fried and loads of spicy delicious sauce - Antipasto salad ($7 large): fresh ingredients, large slices of cheese, pepperoni, shredded mozzarella, etc. - Big Al's pizza ($21.50 XL): great amount of toppings & cheese, excellent crust. Love the cut up meatballs! Really couldn't have asked for anything more on the food. I would order everything again in a heartbeat! Pizzas are great here. Cheese is thick and stretchy when hot. Pizza crust is also not overly oily. The table area itself could use a bit of love, as well as the arcade. Floor is quite sticky. But on account of the excellent pizzas, I hope they continue to do well. read more

We live in this community.. and have lived here for years.. Big Al's is our local pizza place. We order here regularly and the pizza has been acceptable for the cost. Customers be aware of the significant increases in prices on the menu. I do hope the business realizes that you can get a pizza at Costco for 9.99.. dominos and Pizza Hut have better value options as well. The difference is in the community feel that we loved here. Just had our kids' bday there, what an awesome spot! They upgraded the arcade games and the food was incredible! The buffalo wings were some of the best I've ever had... and my father in law is from Buffalo! They are meaty, saucy and seasoned (not just sauced) Pizza was great and the kids love it! And they had a nice IPA on tap (Liquid Candy). NFL was even on, great spot!!! read more

Had to try the thin crust after the suggestion and it did not disappoint!!! Big Al's pizza is seriously one of the best. Never fails!! I know the crew works hard and all I can say is thank you for not compromising when it gets busy! You should see them prep the pizzas. They do a great job and the staff is always accommodating! Ohhhhhh man! Went here today to pick up food for my son's birthday party and it was excellent! We ordered: XL vegetarian XL cheese L sausage and pepperoni Family side dinner salad with Italian Garlic bites Total was $77 and that isn't bad at all! The pizza was tooooo diiieeee foorrrr!!! Please do not skip on the garlic bites if you love garlic and oil! The drippings were the best part! The veggie pizza had so many toppings on it, they were falling off, which in my book is delicious and just how I want my veggie pizza. The sausage and pepperoni was so greasy and just oozing deliciousness, it was so good! The salad was delicious and Ohhhh their dressings are really good! Their ranch is spectacular! So good. Moved to Corona this summer and been looking for a good pizza that's not the big chain cheap ones. I was impressed with Big Al's! The right amount of sauce, cheese, and toppings! It was delicious! I ordered the all meat pizza and I saw a previous review of it being salty, but I didn't think so. It does have salami and bacon which are salty meats, but it was not over kill. My wife had a Hawaiian pizza and she said it was delicious as well. Overall impressed with the food and the inside as I waited for my order. read more

I called in for takeout on my way home around 5pm and was asked to hold. Since I have to drive by Big Al's to get to my house I stayed on hold, 15 minutes later I walked in and the place was practically empty. I asked the younger man at the counter why put me on hold for so long and he replied "oh that's you" did not bother to apologize and just asked to take my order. I didn't feel comfortable purchasing food from that individual. First impressions are lasting impressions. read more

We just had our boys birthday reception at Big Al's after we celebrated at Romporama. I'm so pleased and impressed with how they provided tablecloths of my color choice, which help alleviate another task on my list. I didn't expect the owner to reserve the restaurant for us and was impressed on that detail that made our experience even more special and intimate. The food was brought out at the time I requested before the guest arrived and was delicious. This was the one of the few times, guests wanted to take food home, which means I didn't have excess to bring home. All the kids and (big kids/dads) had a blast playing arcade games and had a variety of beers on tap. My wife called in at 8:15 to place a pick up order and was placed on hold until 8:30 and then they just rolled over the phones. Sad. By far, the best pizza and wings in Corona and pretty much the surrounding area. We drive from Riverside to enjoy the pizza here. My kids love the games as well and I like that they are situated around the tables so we can watch our kids at all times. I wish they would build a second location out by me or even in South Corona with an even bigger arcade. That would be pretty epic! read more

This place was almost perfect! Just moved over to corona from lake Elsinore and really wanted to give this place 5 stars! Service was great, had my order ready in 15 minutes but when I got home I was like oh boy. Ha. The pizza was good, the pepperoni they used were delicious. I ordered the cheese bread and it was so cheesy to the point where it was inedible. That's not the bad part though, they put the marinara sauce on top of the bread in a plastic cup and it made an indent into the bread and it just was not appetizing to me at all. I don't know where that side cup was before and it just sunk into the bread. I didn't even eat that piece. Still four stars for the pizza and service itself. The bread, that was not okay. I will still be back though hopefully they don't just put that cup on top of the bread like that again. read more

Even before Covid, always support small businesses - they're what makes a community great! My husband and I moved to Corona about a year ago, and our friends suggested to try this place out cause they're locals born and raised in Corona. Every since then, there pizza has done wonders to my taste palate. I stopped going to domino's or chains. Big Al's is the heart and soul of this community. There pizza is always delicious with just the amount of sauce, thickness of crust, and plenty of toppings. The cheese doesn't fall off and it's not greasy. I've had terrible service not once but twice. On one occasion my order was delivered to someone else (2 hours after ordering). The manager took care of it replaced my order after I personally went into the store. I gave this place a second chance and ordered again a few months after the first incident. Again, I waited 2 hours for the order to arrive. Called the store several times after waiting over an hour and all they could tell me was the driver just left. It was like a broken record. The order actually arrived this time only the food wasn't fresh out the oven. I will not be giving this place a 3rd chance. read more

However, especially during the time of inflation, we work very hard for our money and when we decide to support a local business with it I do still expect my food to made with quality care. I ordered a mushroom and olive pizza, and unfortunately it appears they may have forgotten the olives until the end and under cooked the pizza.
