Full of toppings and a good amount of cheese. Since then I have gone 2 more times in a two week time frame. I used to go to lamp post pizza but something happened. Their pizza is not the same. I always pass by this place on my way fro and to work as I get off on Green River on 91. I vaguely know that this place was here but never really stopped by for the past 3 years that we lived in Corona. I took my kids to Romporama indoor playground next door over the weekend and decide to takeout quick pizza for lunch. Kids like nothing fancy so we just got 2 large: cheese + pepperoni. The place was very clean and spacious. There were good number of arcade games so I can definitely see us coming back to have dinner sometime. Cashier guy was courteous and price was extremely reasonable for 2 large. When we took the pizzas home and open the boxes, we could see the dough was thick with generous spread of gooey cheese. After trying a slice of cheese and pepperoni, I realized we were missing out all this time! It is hands down the best pizza I've had in Corona. The thing that I really liked was that sauce, dough and cheese were all not overloaded with salt. Eating just the crust by itself was a bit on the bland side but with cheese and the red sauce, it just had perfect amount of sodium for my liking. I went off the four star review and decided to purchase a XL sausage and pepperoni with original chicken wings to go. I waited 20 min which was understandable for a Friday night. The team member who took my order was great and took the order with a smile (no name tag so no recognition) I received my order and was impressed with amount of cheese and taste. I wasn't happy with the original chicken wings as I asked for original NOT hot wings and when we ate them they were fire :0 we couldn't enjoy them and ended up throwing away. We like hot peppers/chili although when you're not or prepared to battle spicy hot wings this can road block the taste and excitement of the pizza. I highly recommend Big Al's for team parties. Our basketball team has had two parties there. Kids love the arcade basketball and air hockey games. Easy to book right over the phone. Service was great. It was especially nice of them to provide tablecloths to give it a special touch. The kids always enjoy the pizza and drinks they provide. Yikes! How did this place get 4 stars? I find it ho hum average in every way. I wanted a good antipasto salad, and thought this might be the place. Little did I know it was mostly an excessively thick layer of cheese, with some sliced ham and cotton salami. Although the romaine lettuce was fresh and crisp, there was no tomato, no onion, no other additions that would perk up this salad, like dry salami, pepperoni, olives, bell pepper, peperoncini. It fell into the category of simply bland and boring, topped off with an equally boring Italian dressing, not even house made, but a packet of Newman's Best Italian. Not a fan (Sorry Mr. Newman). My other mistake was ordering some buffalo wings, a miss too. I did not like the red spicy sauce at all. It came home to the son who will eat anything. Nope. No second chance for those items, and no first chance for pizza either, since it has decidedly fallen into the bad carb food category for me personally. You will have to decide that for yourself. If there is an upside, it would be for the entertainment factor. This place flashy with wall to wall games, and prizes, and an equally impressive number of TVs featuring sports events. Talk about hidden gem! Came here on a Friday night with a group of friends and enjoyed a delicious cheesy pizza with the freshest quality ingredients. I really liked what we ordered which was a large green river special and a order of fettuccine chicken Alfredo. Everything was perfect. Te Alfredo sauce was super creamy and thick and a generous amount of chicken was put into my bowl. The pizza veggies were crisp and the dough was cooked to perfection. It was crunchy and soft. I seriously couldn't ask for a better pie. Everyone is friendly and they offer you recommendations if you don't know what you want. They have the games playing and beer on tap.
