I got a blueberry muffin that was dry and obviously not baked that morning -- day-old at best. The croissant wasn't much better, soft where it should have been crisp. For a place with a full bakery case front and center, that's the thing they should be nailing. Coffee's a different story. The caramel macchiato was legitimately better than what Starbucks puts out -- balanced, not just sugar. The cortado was small, but that's a cortado, so no complaint there. Espresso quality is solid across the board. One more thing: the couch I sat on was visibly dirty and could use a cleaning. Come for the coffee and the space. Skip the pastry case until they fix it.

I'm a total French toast enthusiast and this place knocked it out of the park! The crunchy was good but the Cherry Pit French toast was were it's at!! Holy smokes!!! I loved the fresh fruit that was served was great. The server was absolutely fantastic and we were really happy with it all. 3 people and the total with a tip was $94 (so a bit expensive) but dang it was good!

They were tasty and had a nice crunch.  I had a glass of Chardonnay and grilled salmon, while my daughter had a Birdie Spritz, burger and fries.  The food was flavorful and filling. It's worth mentioning that the glass of Chardonnay was a house wine and only cost $10.   My daughter and I both truly enjoyed the dinner.  We particularly loved the outdoor setting.  Next time would be a date with my wife.  I would love to return to enjoy more meals at Acorn Grill + Terrace!

We arrived around 6:30 pm, and the outdoor terrace was completely packed. Since the restaurant is first-come, first-served with no host or hostess, it was quite chaotic. Even the indoor dining area was almost full. We initially sat inside for about 10 minutes without being greeted, then moved outside when we noticed a table becoming available. We were prepared for a slow evening, but after another 20 minutes outside, we were still waiting. A young male server came by and spent about 10 minutes taking an order from a group of five who had just sat down, while we had already been waiting for about 30 minutes. He then disappeared without taking our order. There were only two of us at a larger table, but I was happy to be there for the beautiful golf-course view, especially I wanted to photograph our food with the scenery in the background. I certainly didn't expect special treatment, but I did expect to be acknowledged and treated fairly. A few minutes later, a waitress named Karyna whose station was on the other side came over and asked whether anyone had helped us and whether we were "staying." I was surprised by the question after we had already been waiting so long. I explained what had happened, and she apologized and took our order. My husband ordered the Blackened Grilled Atlantic Salmon with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables ($28), along with an Ebb + Flow Chardonnay ($13). He is a seafood lover and thought both were okay, although neither was particularly memorable. The $10 Chardonnay he originally wanted was unavailable. I ordered the Reuben with corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, Thousand Island dressing on the side, and toasted multigrain bread ($15), with tater tots and a lemonade. The Reuben was delicious -- hot, generously portioned, and served on wonderfully crispy toasted bread. I took half of it home. The tater tots were crunchy, although only lukewarm. The $3 lemonade was essentially a fountain drink, which explained the low price. They don't serve desserts, so that's something to keep in mind. Once our order was taken, the service improved considerably. Another waitress brought our food with a cheerful "Happy Friday!" Both waitresses were genuinely sweet and checked on us several times to make sure we were happy. Near the end of our meal, the young server came back to apologize and later offered us a 20% discount. Since he apologized, I won't mention his name. I appreciated that he acknowledged the problem and tried to make things right, although the initial experience had already left a bad taste in my mouth. The terrace itself is lovely, with beautiful golf-course views and the potential to be a very relaxing place to dine. However, on a busy Friday evening it was extremely noisy, with many families and children moving between the tables. There was also live music at the other end of the terrace, although it was difficult to hear because of the surrounding noise. By the time we walked over after dinner, the performance had just ended, but I did get a photo of the friendly singer, Scott Birchwood, who told me he performs at local venues and festivities. Despite the rocky beginning, we ultimately had an enjoyable evening. The beautiful setting, generous portions, delicious Reuben, and genuinely friendly waitresses made up for some of the initial frustrations. Overall, I think Acorn Grill + Terrace has a lot of potential. I would recommend coming on a quieter evening if you want a more relaxed experience. We enjoyed ourselves enough that I would be willing to return.

The food is great. I took my 94 year old mother this time. She ordered Eggs Benedict Florentine - it looked wonderful - very large portion with fruit. I decided to go the lunch route this time - I had their turkey club with fries. Mom loved the eggs benedict. For me, I thought the club sandwich was very good. The fries weren't hot and were kind of soggy when they were served, so the order probably sat there for a little while before they brough it to us. But, that was relatively minor. Service: 5 stars. Food: 3.5 to 4 stars (only because of the fries). But it's a solid 4 - very good. We'll continue to frequent Rise N Dine. I do recommend it.

My husband and I dined here. We ordered a burger and waffles with eggs and side of bacon. The burger was uncooked, nearly raw. The blood soaked through the bun making a mushy, unappetizing presentation. My waffles were ok, they are standard waffles. I ordered my eggs over easy and they came out scrambled. The bacon wasn't cooked completely so fatty and greasy. I tried to catch our server's attention, but she wasn't anywhere to be seen until it was time for the check. We've tried to give this place several chances as I like to shop at Fresh Farms, but each time the meal has disappointed. Then to find out the owner is recording for his channel sealed the deal to never come back. There's too many delicious restaurants around the area to put up with mediocre food, high prices, rude ownership, and poor service. Upside is that the restaurant is clean and there's a nice fireplace that some can sit in front of.

I had to track down the waitress to get the check. I'll give 1 star because nobody complained about the food. You would think by now they'd have it figured out. We only come to this place because they take reservations on Mother's Day and it's rather in the middle of where the family lives.

It's quickly become part of our regular rotation for breakfast out (which, frankly, doesn't happen often enough in my opinion). The service has been consistently good since that first visit. The menu has evolved a bit over time. I love the stuffed potato pancakes. And I adore that you can now get *any* omelet potato crusted (including building your own!). Prices are reasonable and tables turn over quickly so there never seems to be much of wait -- or you can join the waitlist online before arriving.

I just had a quick mocha today, I needed to warm up and this drink improved my mood right away. Made in front of me (before paying... that's respect) by a sweet lady who also hooked me up with a punch card, it was very nice. Not overly rich from the chocolate and just the right temperature.
