I love a good bagel. But there are better bagel places in the area. This counter service location is what you'd expect from any bagel joint. You walk up, order your bagel, and pay. The process is pretty standard. There is nothing special about the ambiance, it is good for walk in and walk out. I ordered the sausage, egg and cheese bagel as suggested by the man behind the counter. I got it on an Asiago bagel that was toasted. The bagel itself didn't have the crust you'd expect. It was a soft bengal and there wasn't much flavor to it. The Asiago was barely noticeable. The sausage was the biggest minus, it had no caramelization and tasted just how it sounds, like a microwaved sausage. The egg was fluffy, which you'd also expect from a microwave. There was a nice surprise that came with my meal though... a mini cinnamon muffin. It was fine.

Good bagels. I especially like their blueberry bagels. Friendly staff I go there as often I can.

Great bagel spot, I just started coming here and now it's all I want for lunch.

They were tasty and had a nice crunch.  I had a glass of Chardonnay and grilled salmon, while my daughter had a Birdie Spritz, burger and fries.  The food was flavorful and filling. It's worth mentioning that the glass of Chardonnay was a house wine and only cost $10.   My daughter and I both truly enjoyed the dinner.  We particularly loved the outdoor setting.  Next time would be a date with my wife.  I would love to return to enjoy more meals at Acorn Grill + Terrace!

Most the food was surprisingly tasty. Definitely higher quality than I expected and I thought the buffalo wrap in particular was great. $14 Garlic Cheese Curds (wisconsin cheddar cheese | ranch or marinara dipping sauce) - very good! $17 Southwest Salad GF (mixed greens | grilled chicken | black beans | corn | cucumber | tomato | cheddar | red onion | house blend cheese | tortilla strips | southwest dressing) - too pricey but it did taste good $15 Buffalo Chicken Wrap (crispy buffalo chicken | lettuce | tomato | red onion | ranch | spinach or flour tortilla) - this was yummy! It had enough buffalo sauce and the fries we're good too, pretty crispy $14 Roasted Veggie Sandwich (grilled eggplant | grilled zucchini | grilled squash | roasted red pepper | hummus | balsamic glaze | sourdough) - this was the only letdown ended up being very bland and plain. Honestly not that much veggies, barely any hummus, so the whole thing fell flat. Would go back!

Today Is new years eve and I was nearby on errands when I saw people inside finally! Yes, it's coffee time. First of all, this place is an oasis. Way too cute and perfect to be connected to the grime and cold of the metra station. If your waiting for a train, do yourself a favor and come in here! Better smells, better temperature, better people. Find me waiting for my trains in here whenever they're open. The professionalism here is on full display, you can tell from the obvious thought in the decor, the look of the coffee machines being used, and the excellent and friendly service. I just had a quick mocha today, I needed to warm up and this drink improved my mood right away. Made in front of me (before paying... that's respect) by a sweet lady who also hooked me up with a punch card, it was very nice. Not overly rich from the chocolate and just the right temperature. I see they make they're own pastries and have some fancy cold options for summer! I can't wait to come back and try more. I'll definitely be filling up that punch card in the coming months!
