Literally waited 30 minutes for 2 slices of pizza last night that I ended up paying $11 for, and I was the only customer there.(no wonder) I finally get my pizza with no ranch that I paid for, have to ask for that again, and then finally I get to eat. If you like bread with toppings on it this is your place to go because there's little to no pizza sauce on the slices and the toppings get sprinkled on the slices instead of cooked‍ will never here again eat or recommend it to anybody. You're better off getting a whole large for cheaper at little chasers or dominos read more

The calzones in this place are humongous! The customer service is very good. The pizza is very good, the only thing is that for a large pizza it was smaller than a regular NY large and they forgot my sauce for the calzone. The place is clean and cozy. read more

We ordered two cheeseburgers and two drinks. The total was over $30. The food is good, but the prices are outrageous. Also - we've been sitting here for nearly half an hour and still no cheeseburgers. We won't be back, and that's sad because I've always liked Big Apple. I have a service dog, and I must say being in this town is no different from others. The looks the stares, the idiotic questions to quiz me on the knowledge to test my service dog abilities. .but coming here to the apple was a big relief, they even gave my dog water..I had a customer question me while getting my food but ignorance is bliss, so ignor and move on. Ordered the southwest chicken salad. When it came to the table there was no avocado. I asked for it and when the lady came back she said they were out of avocado. I ate my salad and on my way out I mentioned this again at the counter. They were very apologetic that they were out of avocado. I brought to their attention the fact that they had multiple items that included avocado, but no one was being told when they ordered that there was no avocado. I brought up the fact there was a Food Lion two doors down, but was told Food Lion was also out of avocados. For what is charged for food or empty cups (for water=60 cents), I felt ripped off!!!! I'm so impressed with the staff and food. Family roots from New York City. Joined USMC 1981 and left family and food. 1984 was last time at Cherry Point. 1982 since any New York food. I absolutely love this place. It doesn't matter if you've been watchin barstool pizza reviews for 6 hours on end and want pizza, just got home from moms and miss good pasta, or need a good salad because you drank beer all weekend and regret it.I order online quite often, it seems to be the only place that uses truly fresh ingredients. It's delivery with a side of healthy without losing the taste. Customer service is always amazing, they will call if there are any issues and if they run out of anything they will replace it with anything else for free. I actually got a call once, double checking that I didn't want cheese on my salad. If that doesn't earn your respect I don't know what will.Always say yes to the cheese, as well as Big Apple. read more

I've been a regular here for several years now. The pizza is definitely delish. I'd recommend the plain slice, meat slide, or the pepperoni and mushroom slice. The staff is always friendly to me. Best restaurant in Havelock (in terms of food)! I've only ordered from this place so I don't know how well it is inside of the restaurant(Reason I didn't give this establishment a 5 star Review) is. Here's what I can tell you, the pizza is good, subs are delicious, and calzone are cooked perfectly. Also, the deserts they offer are very good as well. They offer online ordering and it's very convenient. Delivery drivers are very polite and read the order back to you before giving you the order so you can account for everything. Read some review on this pizza place and thought I would give it a try. Ummm yeah never again. Placed the order and was told It Would be delivered within he hour. I am about a mile away from place so thought it would be here pretty fast. An hour rolls by.......... a hour and fifteen rolls by so I decided to call. The lady couldn't find my order but yet remembered what we ordered. She handed the phone to the manager who gave me some lame excuse that we called during busy hours which it was around 5pm. He never apologized for it talking so long and informed me that it should be here in about 15 minutes. So 1 1/2 hours later got pizza. I was barely warm and tasted like ass. I ended up eating two slices and throwing the rest away and got something else to eat. I will never order from this place again. read more

Being from the North East I think I can tell a good pizza! This pizza is the best I've found in this area! Depending on the cook it may be better some nights than other nights, but overall it's the best I've found around here. We also love their pepperoni rolls! Yum! The garlic knots are pretty good. Sometimes there's too much garlic. We don't really do the cheesesteaks or subs here in NC because after growing up near Philly you just can't even compare! read more

I am so impressed by the pizza. Me and my husband came in to have a slice and we were greeted nicely and we each got a differently slice. The slice was super big and pretty cheap. I got the supreme pizza with olives, sausage, bacon, onion, bell peppers, pepperoni and more!! It was thin crust and super warm when we got it. The theme is New York style. The place looked clean and it had sports on big screen tv. The pizza was just delicious. I wonder if the delivery pizza tastes as good as the slice in the restaurant. I will have to try this and see how it compares. While I live in havelock I will only eat the pizza from here since the Pizza Hut and papa johns have disappointed me greatly. read more

Nice big slices, the pizza was good but I wasn't overly impressed with the garlic knots. They are dry without much actual garlic on them, so they were pretty much just rolls with marinara sauce. Other than that, nice setup! Would go again. read more

Tried to order over the phone a little before they closed and asked if it was still ok to order. The lady on the phone said yes. I asked if they would like us to pick up our food or if they would still deliver. They said they would deliver. All this time she had a bitchy attitude I had questions to ask and she answered in the least desirable way ever. I asked to make substitutions and she said "it comes with that" as if I couldn't change it. I changed my mind and told her I would order somewhere else. Best pizza around (which is saying a lot because this area has great pizza in the form of Marios in Havelock and Luigis in Morehead.) Also great calzones, wings, and salads. Huge slices, this costs more than your average pizza, but it's a whole other level above and worth it. read more
