Nice little green colored shop on the right just aboit 5 minutes before Mountain High. Staff is nice and helpful. Board rentals are super cheap too, probably about a 50% savings from the resort. Came here because my friend usually gets snowboarding rentals here. Friendly people, great service, they'll make sure you're taken care of. The second time we rented from this location, I ended up with rented snowboarding pants that had a broken zipper and a missing hook at the waist. When I brought it up, they immediately offered to either issue me a refund (cash or card) or give me credit next time I'm there. I took the cash. Great service, cheap prices, no complaints! Great service and pricing here!! I only spent $23 for board, boots, and binding. You can rent the whole day up until they close, which was around 10:30PM, I believe. They're very friendly, fast and efficient so you can get in and get out onto the slopes ASAP! They'll just need to scan your ID & credit card for assurance purposes when you rent, and once you return all your equipment, they'll give you back the scanned copy so you can shred it on the spot. Cant complain with the service they provided! As you step in the worker gives you a warm welcome and explains everything you need as far as rentals are involved. They help you with sizing and getting the perfect fit. The board that we rented out was in great condition and amazing to ride as we were at mountain high! Parking is alright due to their small lot size but you can always park along the street. Overall great experience! read more

We went on a very busy day and they had run out of helmets but to be fair we went pretty late in the day. Arrived here at 8am on a Sunday and we were in and out. Fast and super easy, no deposit or credit card hold needed just a copy of a debt or credit card. It was around $20 for the whole set up for 1 day. The only reason for the 4 stars was I had 2 diff bindings, my right binding was a little Harding to get off then my left. I ride regular so my right foot was constantly in and out of the binding and each time I had some trouble. Other than that everything else worked properly. Wow! We will never ever rent from mountain high again. Bennys prices are super cheap. Just found out that they gave military discounts but it was so cheap that it didn't matter. The boots, boards and helmets were great. No smell at all. They made sure everything fit and that we were comfortable. We went yesterday (Tuesday) for my 3yo son. He loves snowboarding but couldn't really do it bc the long carpet wasn't working. They said they were fixing it but no one was working on it. So after almost 3 hours, we just left and had to return all of our rentals. They asked how it was and I told them we couldn't do it bc the carpet didn't work. And without a hesitation he said they will give us free rentals the next time we come. Such a great business! read more

My group and I were recommended to come to Big Benny's for snowboard rentals and let me say, I have no regrets of coming here! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, they get you in and out of there in less then 10min (depends on your group size of course). This is a wonderful place and I highly recommend coming here to rent your board, shoes, skis, etc. We wanted to spend a day on the slopes in Mount High and of course, who isn't looking to save some money here and there? So of course, evidently, we come across this rental place and decide to check it out with the prices being fair. One tip, make sure to print and fill out the wavier before hand, that will save you a lot of time. By the time we arrived it was already pretty crowded and we wanted to get everything ASAP so we could hit the slopes. We waited in line, informed them of the information that was needed and then we went to try on boots for our boards. The staff was patient and friendly. Even as it was crowded and people were swarming everywhere, they were very helpful, kind, and did a great job in servicing to everyone's needs as best as they could. We had a great experience and we would definitely come back here to rent again! read more

No frills, good price. They aren't going to measure your foot and the rentals will be very used but for $15 ski setup, you can't complain. I wish there was a pro shop near mountain high that I could demo gear to buy but it seems like most people who go to mountain high are 1 novices and 2 think they can snowboard. If you are going to spend most of your time on the mountain sitting on your ass with a snowboard and cool sunglasses, no helmet of course, obstructing people coming down the mountain, why pay more? Actually, I hope you do go somewhere else so I don't have to wait in line. If you're looking to rent gear for your trip to Mountain High, I would HIGHly suggest renting from a local shop in the area. Big Benny's checks all of the boxes for me. Conveniently located on the main road to Mt. High, you simply just pull over, go in, and rent all of the gear you need for the day. It's $23 for board, boots and bindings which is a fantastic deal. At Mt. High, you are looking at prices of $30+!! Plus, you get to avoid the LONG lines at Mt. High as well. Yes, this place is really small and it can get really packed but the service is great. Our group of 4 was in-and-out in under 30 minutes which is pretty good in my opinion. The only knock is the way you drop off your equipment at the end of the day. It was very disorganized and wasn't as smooth as I've experienced elsewhere. Just a little tip...make sure you write your name clearly on the rental form or else they won't be able to find your slip! I would also recommend getting to this place early. They mentioned equipment running out in the afternoon so if you want the best selection, I'd say get there as early as you can. read more

Renting out damaged gear!! Make sure you thoroughly check your boots for any holes and make sure your board is waxed before leaving the shop. That was my mistake after returning the gear. I brought this to the associates attention which then got handed off to Big Ben himslef. His reply was "it happens, this stuff gets used all the time" my reply was "it's your job to maintain items and make sure the products your renting are useable and not damaged". The whole culture there with Big Ben and his employees is that they don't really care. read more

It was really packed on Friday when I went with my boyfriend here to rent snowboarding gear but there quick and efficient. They have great deals on renting everything or just renting shoes. It was way cheaper than I thought it would be. First you pay at the register than they'll get you everything you need. Make sure to get your board wax for five dollars if you don't wax it yourself.
