Big Bill's BBQ has some awesome ribs. the ribs come with coleslaw and 2 slices of white bread. the ribs are moist and delicious. the bbq sauce is awesome! it was so good, i wanted to lick the foil the ribs came on. service is great too. we were greeted friendily, ordered at the counter, grabbed out fountain drinks, and sat down at one of the booths to wait for our food. in just a few minutes the food was ready to pick up at the counter. we sat down and got so messy, it's a good thing they have napkin dispensers at the table! i got sauce all over my face, hands, and even my elbows! it's not a fancy place, but it was comfortable and tasted home-cooked. i'm glad we stopped here to have dinner before continuing our cross country road trip from California to Florida. i feel like i really got a taste of some Southern bbq. read more

Wow! I wish I could have been blindfolded when I went in here, and just ate the ribs and sides. The food was amazing! I would give it a solid 4-stars. Heve eaten here about 5 times in several years. I like dry ribs the most. Big Bill's offers hot or mild wet ribs. These ribs are swimming in sauce, should be served in a bowl. If you like wet you will be crazy about these. The sauce is ok and the meat is pull off the bone like one would want. The staff is friendly. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you. The atmosphere was excellent and the food was great! I had the brisket and pork butt and they both were fantastic! The customer service skills on the cashiers suck...she argue with me when their system was wrong and told me I would have to wait until Monday before my order could be looked at when I had paid and had 2 receipts. When I walked the cashier was playing and cussing at her coworkers and completely ignoring me so much that the cook had to take my order. While passing through Memphis, I thought I should try some Memphis-style bbq. I found Big Bill's Bbq, right down the street from Graceland, on Elvis Presley Blvd. It's a small, local restaurant that offers take-out, has a few booths and tables to dine-in, plus they offer catering. They sell local bbq favorites such as: 1/2 smoked chicken, pork shoulder, beef brisket, rib tips and turkey legs. They sell dinner plates, which include 2 sides, or you can buy it by the pound. Sides include potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans and spaghetti. They also have burgers and sandwiches. I decided to go traditional and get a dinner plate. I asked the friendly lady behind the counter, which she recommends between the 1/2 smoked chicken and the beef brisket. Without hesitation, she said, "beef brisket". That sold me! You get a choice of hot or mild bbq sauce. I chose hot, with potato salad and baked beans as my sides. I was very pleased with my choice! The brisket was served in big chunks topped with the hot bbq sauce. I am impressed that it wasn't fatty at all. It was delicious!
