This place has really gone down hill! Big bite used to have the most amazing mozzarella sticks, they were so good. They used to have the most incredible potato skins, filled with bacon and cheesy goodness. We move to Alexandria 11 years ago and a friend recommended big bite pizza. Needless to say over the next few years we ordered from them once a week. It used to be game night and big bite! Now big bite is shit. You can order online but they will completely screw up your order. You can order the wings, but you won't get the blue cheese you ask for. You can order the burger, but they will ignore everything you asked for on your burger. The potato skins used to be amazing, my favorite, now they are barely fried and the potatoes are hard, lacking bacon and cheese. The wings used to be amazing; we would order 32 wings and that would be dinner. Now the wings are kind of fried and come with some canned wing sauce. This place used to be the most amazing place to get delivery, now it is crap. We keep "giving big bite a chance to be as good as it used to be" but alas, it is crap. Love this place! Prompt delivery, order correct, everything tasty...the calzone is gigantic, the cheese pizza doesn't skimp, and the cheesecake is traditional and fresh. The wings are the best too- tried the old bay, teriyaki, and kickin bourbon- my fave. Also the blue cheese and ranch dressings are from scratch and really yummy! Cheese Calzone was not really a Calzone. It had cheddar or some yellow cheese in it that made it too oily. Not good at all. Delivery time was fine. Driver was nice. Also had poppers that tasted old, freezer burned. Will not order again. read more

I would like to express my disappointment. I have ordered from the Alexandria location several times and has always had a great experience. Food was always delivered on time and it was hot as if it was fresh. However, this recent experience was a true disappointment. I had ordered online two medium pizza, a 2-litter coke, and potato skins. It was delivered as it was indicated on the confirmation. The delivery person brought everything except the 2-litter coke. We mentioned this and he said he would bring it in a few minutes. While we waited, we ate the food. Twenty minutes pass and still there was no 2nd delivery for the coke. I decided to call the location, in answering, the gentleman asked me to hold for "a quick second." I said yes. 4 minutes pass. I can hear the gentleman taking orders, phones ringing, and so forth. 4 minutes is a long time to pass and since he did not acknowledge me I thought he had forgotten about me. I hung up and called back. When I called back, again, I was asked to "hold for a quick second." I said "no." The gentlemen than hesitated and said that he "has to help other customers." I was taken back by this, because am I not a paying customer? I began to explain to him the situation and I was cut off and put on hold. A few seconds later my call was taken. I explained the situation and the delivery person forgot the coke and said he would be back in a few minutes which was 20 minutes ago. The gentleman on the phone than rudely explains that the driver has other deliveries and cannot just turn around for ONE customer. And than I asked, "am I not a paying customer?" He than responds by asking if I want credit for the coke. I responded "No, I still want my coke and a credit." He says, "You can't have both." I asked for the manager, and he claims that he was the manager. Are you seriously going to fight me other a few dollars? I understand the pressure and sudden rush of customers. But that does not excuse being rude or lowering your customer services standards. There were several opportunities to recover from the mistake. I waited before I called to follow up on my coke. I did not call immediately or yell over the phone when my delivery was incomplete. I waited again when I was asked to be put on hold. 40 minutes passed from the delivery of the pizza before the coke finally arrived. I understand mistakes can happened, but the root of my frustration was how the phone call was handled. While holding, I was not acknowledged that I was not forgotten; the caller blamed the delivery person instead of taking ownership; dismissing me when he stated that he had to help other customers; and no attempt to remedy the situation. read more

First time at this place & it was horrible. I had a very simple order for a Club sandwich, instead i recieved a sub par steak & cheese. Here's my problem. When I ordered a good $20 worth of food and my caesar salad had an easily identifiable dead BUG in it and I call back because for, oooh, $8 my salad should have NO bugs in it and ask to speak to the manager (who apparently does not want to be bothered) I was given the nice little run around by the employee who answered the phone. At first, I had to tell her 3 times why I was calling (she couldn't wrap her head around the fact that this was an issue), then rather than offering up a resolution she asked what I wanted...well, in that case, I want my money back. I was promised by said employee that she would call me back THAT night after talking to the manager and that she would either credit back the salad (which is all that I asked) or give me credit for another order. Surprise, surprise, I didn't receive ANY follow up and NO refund NOR any credit. I might expect a bug if I made it myself from the grocery...but that would have only cost about $3 (including dressing). Suffice it to say, I give one star not because you can't give zero but this place's only saving grace was the delivery guy. Very polite and courteous. Otherwise, I'd caution anyone from eating here unless you are okay with poor, poor customer service if something should happen to go wrong. read more

While the delivery guys are always nice, and the food is decent enough, the fact you can't use a card on the phone, and they're website is spotty at best has ruined my experience here. I've ordered from Big Bite Pizza three times now and I probably never will again. My first order, the eggplant parm sub had pieces of eggplant that were too thick and bitter. My second order, a bunch of appetizers, came out fine. My third order, though, was the worst of all. I ordered a white pizza and it was the greasiest pizza I've ever had. It was dripping with grease. The box was completely soaked through the bottom. I only had one piece and it was terrible. I'm feeling nauseous just thinking about it. My husband and I refer to BBP as the "bad pizza place." Stay far away unless you just want some appetizers they throw in a deep fryer. Seems like that's about all they can handle. read more

Holy moses, go get yourself some bourbon wings from Big Bite. I haven't had a good wing in a couple of years (i love me some Wingos) and these were a blessing from the chicken gods. They were crispy, the sauce was delicious and the blue cheese dressing was spot on. We also ordered gyros (a little salty but appreciated the tzatziki sauce on the side), and the chicken fingers which were also super crunchy and delicious. We've also previously had the philly cheese steak (not the best but not bad), the BLT (if you like bacon, they pile it on), and the pita pizza (which is a good size for the kiddos). We've also ordered fries and they are always a bit soggy and limp but we still eat them (we're not monsters). As others have mentioned, the delivery is a bit long for the area (usually about 45 mins) but as long as I know that ahead of time, we're all good. read more

I grew up in New York. I'm very particular about my pizza and Big Bite has been some of the best I've had in the DMV. Not only is the pizza good, but their wings are excellent. Tonight I ordered mozzarella sticks and a sub. I had ordered ranch dressing with the mozzarella sticks and they had forgotten to pack it with the rest of the food. I called and within probably 15 minutes they came and delivered 2 ranches and I really appreciated that! The delivery driver both times was super nice and I love how helpful and just plain nice the driver and whoever I talked to on the phone was. Being from Buffalo, NY I'm particular about my pizza and wings. This place tastes just like home. I've never had a bad meal here. Their pizza and wings are fantastic. They also have an in-house blue cheese recipe that is out of this world. I can't recommend this place enough. There is only counter space so this is meant to be a to-go experience. Hmmm. So when I first moved here, from Mt. V, I'll never forget the night I ordered my friend and I ordered a pizza from Big Bite. There sitting on the floor in an empty room we experienced deliciousness!!! The crust is just right for a regular crust pizza and you always get a nice balance of toppings, cheese and sauce.
