Wife and I came in for the lunch special: 2 slices and a drink with an extra side of wings! The holy smoke and meatitarian(?) slices sizes were pretty large, bigger still was the flavor they provided! A delicious and crisp non-greasy crust with potent toppings on each iteration of pizza made a big impression on me! While it took a bit of time to get the wings, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the wing meat and exterior crusting! The bleu cheese was spot on and the buffalo sauce was a bit better than average. If I'm ever back in the area I'll definitely be dropping in again. read more

4.5 Nice owner with good pizzas! I wanted to say thanks to my group since they've been slammed and I offered to buy lunch. Without hesitation, they said Big Bob's. It's just down the street from work and the prices are reasonable. I called the day before to put in an order for lunch and when I came the next day 15 minutes late it was waiting ready for pick up. I was even able to place an evening delivery for the second shift that they dropped off promptly at the specified time. While getting rung up, I chatted with Bob, who said he appreciated the business. The pride he takes in his business is reflected in the pizza. Ingredients are fresh, the crust is nice and thick, with crispy putter edges and perfectly cooked fluffy insides. The sauce is mild, so it's not overpowering. Often times I eat pizza and I need an immediate nap - but this isn't overly heavy or greasy. Definitely recommend Big Bob's! read more

The pizza is Great and made with fresh dough don't go in there starving the wait time is approximately 45 minutes. Most customers ordered ahead. We had absolutely nobody waiting while we arrived at 4:40 pm.and had to wait a while. Staff is friendly . Restaurant needs some deep cleaning. especially the ceilings. This is a solid spot for pizza. It's a big doughy pie but with generous toppings. Now, to my eyes, the extra large size was the same size as a large at other shops. Just keep that in mind. The bread sticks come with a cup of tasty marinara sauce. I thought the bread sticks were a tad under cooked but there was plenty of shredded cheese over them and they were nice and flavorful. And you get a huge portion with a cup of marinara for dipping. Likewise, the antipasto salad was enormous. The lettuce was crisp and fresh and it cones with meat, shredded cheese, olives and peppers on top. It's a good salad. Maybe not my absolute all-time favorite pizza place but you get a lot of bang for your buck and it's good stuff. read more

This little gem is hidden in the center of Oceanside off Rancho Del Oro cramed in between a few other businesses. I came by for the lunch specials and boy would you like some pizza with your toppings!! 2 loaded slices to the max and a drink was more than I could chew on. Pepperoni, sausage and jalapeño pizza always catches up to you later on but I can't say NO. Definitely gonna have to come back and order a couple whole pies to try out but the lunch special is absolutely worth it. read more

This is definitely our go to pizza spot, no questions asked. They have rad family deals we normally get and this is the first night we got their large 2topping with choice of appetizer $24. Most of the time our eyes are to big for our stomachs and we get the family meal of an XL 2topping, salad and breadstick for $30, their XL is no joke. I love it cause we have left overs and it always heats up nicely!! It's not really a sit down place they have a couple tables outside, so order ahead. The one downside is timing seems to be either 10-15mins later than pick up or you can tell your pizza has been sitting for a bit if you show up on time. They do keep it in a warmer so nothings sitting getting cold and it's definitely understandable since they are typically super busy. We've started calling about 20mins after ordering to see timing wise (we also do carry out) if you're getting delivery this isn't an issue, we're not in the range so we drive! It's that good. Do yourself a favor and try this place out! I don't think it'll disappoint you :) read more

However is it worth the price? Probably not, the value just isn't there when you can order from a main chain like Pizza Hut, Papa John's or Dominos for at least half the price. Awesome pizza w/great quality ingredients. I've been coming here for years, and Bob never disappoints. I get a medium pizza w/spicy pepperoni and anchovies. Always good. My wife gets the bruschetta and that is great as well. It's pronounced brewsketta, by the way. NOT brewsheta. The "ch" is a "K" sound in italian. If you want the "ch" sound, that "ci," as in "Ciao." Delicious sodium overload. Bob does not skimp on toppings. Typically when I get veggies on a pizza, it amounts to maybe half a serving of veggies for the whole pizza. We ordered a pizza with onions, and they may have used a whole medium onion on it. Traditional crust was good, a bit thick. I can't even imagine what the thick crust would be like. We'll probably try thin crust next time. Hot wings were tasty, but felt dry and overly fried. We liked the dry rub and hot sauce on the side though. read more

Watching the grandkids we decided to order some pizza for dinner through DoorDash. The kids like just cheese and grandparents opt for a little extra. We scoured the various options and landed on Big Bob' Best Pizza. We order a small cheese with traditional sauce and a large thin crust pepperoni, sausage and extra cheese with traditional sauce. Big Bob's could have worked harder to get us his best pizza. The crust on the thin was flimsy and too much sauce and the small cheese pizza was a bit doughy. Solution would have been to cook it longer. Flavor was ok and price was on par for non chain pizza houses. The amount of time it took for pies to leave the shop they should have been done. Three stars for now, Bob needs to work harder to get 4 or 5. read more

Got big bobs for takeout and it was delicious. My preference is neopolitan style pizza, but if I have to have a thicker crust, I want to it to taste as good as big bob's. Food took over 2 hours and 30 minutes to arrive. I placed my order at 1:18pm online through their website, which they confirmed by sending me my receipt which also stated it could take until 2:32pm to arrive. Thats fine it was a busy day and during rush hour so I was fine with waiting. 2:32pm rolls around and my pizza still hasn't arrived. I call the store and they inform me that their driver does not clock in until 3:00pm. At 3:30pm i call the store again and they confirm that the driver is on his way to which he finally arrived. The problem is that on the Big Bob's Best Pizza they have an option available for delivery. This isn't the first time either where I pressed the delivery option and the driver was not available. I love the food so I constantly buy from here, I'm just disappointed this has happened again. read more

The pizza is excellent! Been coming here for about 10 years. Today though, they REALLY blew it on the salad, which was filled with rotten lettuce (see pics). Of course I didn't notice until i got home and started tossing it (no pun intended). So, I still highly recommend the pizza but don't order the salad or just check it over real good before you leave. read more

I love avocado but never had it on a pizza before. It was bomb. 3) Patience. Both Gavin and Tess wanted ranch to eat w/ their pizzas so I had Gavin walk up to ask. Because the guy that took my order went in the back Gavin asked the guy standing by the register if he works there. I saw the guy smiled and said, "yes". Honestly, they deserve the 5 stars. We've tried so many different things on their menu and it's all been amazing. The ranch is the best. The fact that they don't have a white sauce option isn't even an issue, because the pizza holds well on its own even when we order without sauce. That's saying something, and why they get the 5th star! Also, their employees are the best.
