I got the Pimento Pig on a plain bagel. It's sausage, egg, and pimento cheese on a tasted bagel, and it was delicious! My girlfriends got the 912 and the Lox & Schmear and loved their sandwiches as well! The menu is strictly bagel sandwiches (bagel with cream cheese as well) and they have vegan options. The coffee options are also slim with only iced coffee or hot coffee with either half and half or almond milk. They only have two parking spots within their lot but plenty of street parking available. It's a cute and aesthetic atmosphere and the staff is super friendly! One great thing about having early morning appointments in Savannah is having an excuse to stop somewhere and grab some good food. I've been eyeing Big Bon Bodega since they opened and have been dying to try them out. Seriously I love bagels so this place is right up my alley especially being that they're making all their bagels in house, let me tell you these are the real deal and super fresh. I'd already eyed the menu so when I went in I knew what i wanted. I ordered their 912 with cream cheese for myself and got my husband their lox and schmear both on their plain bagels to go. The bagel sandwiches were amazing so even though their menu isn't too big these were both winners. My only issue knocking this place down is their customer service. It was mediocre at best, I came in, got a hello but that was about it. When I was paying the lady who rung me up started having a conversation with my guess a friend which in itself is fine. But then when I got done signing she just put my number for the order down, it was kind of confusing because she didn't say anything so I was unsure for a second if I needed a number for my to go order but grabbed it just in case. Shortly after they called my number and I go to leave no thank you for coming or anything which for me and this being a new place is really disappointing. Big Bon is a bonanza! I am a bagel fiend and this spot satisfies my big apple zeitgeist with the lox combo. The lemon zing is a nice refreshing touch. I have attended their pop up pizza events before. Their signature is the wood burning stoves used to prepare their offerings. My bagel came out nice and warm without being toasted. I would prefer a thicker bagel to further contrast the crusty exterior with the doughy inside. However, it is a well executed recipe and preparation. It is housed in a converted garage with about six parking spaces. I think their oven is mobile (hence the garage). Ironically with a name like Bodega, do not expect anything latin. Rather they have weekend evening traditional Korean specials . I might also try their fusion bagel combo next time (kimchi and bbq pork). Third time is the charm when trying to visit as they do not open every day of the week and have limited hours, so check their schedule. They were humming with customers on a Friday morning at 8AM. Today my friends and I ate at the Big Bon Bodega. I ordered the Savannah 912 and added avocado. Let me just say...one of the best bagels i've had here in Savannah. Perfect ratio of bacon, egg, cheese, and avocado. The herb whipped butter just topped it all off. I also ordered the Honey Bear Latte. Made with oat-milk, honey and cinnamon, it was sweet but not toooo sweet. Which is what I really liked about it. The nugget ice was also a good addition. My friend ordered the Pumpkin Spice Chai latte. I took one sip and knew I had to go an order it for myself. The pumpkin spice really brought out the chai flavor and had a nutty undertone and was topped with cinnamon. Perfect for fall-I wish they would have this all year round! Only had the breakfast here so I can't comment on the pizza but based on the bagels I'm sure it's just as delicious! Driving down to Orlando this morning and wanted to get one final fun meal before hitting the road. Searched "bagels" on here and this was the first to pop up and for good reason. The Parisian was outstanding. The jelly paired so well with the herbs de Provence bagel and the whipped Brie. And the classic 912 was just as great. Not much better than a nice bacon egg and cheese on a cold day. Parking was a little bit of an issue, we had to park down the street at the park and walk but it was a beautiful morning in the 40s and the walk was great. They asked for my number and said they'd text and they never did. Luckily I was there and thought to check the pick-up bags, because mine was there... patiently waiting. They have a few bagel sandwich choices ($4 for PB&J up to $10 for lox), but just a basic bagel (and they only have a few choices) with cream cheese is extra; even butter is a la carte. Absurd. I'm from Palm Beach County, Florida -- bagels galore -- known for everything overpriced, yet some places include bagels as a regular bread choice. Despite the exorbitant cost, they have perfectly, chewy, tender bagels with crusty outsides. I got a BYO plain bagel ($2.25) (because THEY DIDN'T HAVE GARLIC OR ONION BAGELS) w/roast pork ($3), pickled carrot+daikon ($1.00) and a kimchee cream cheese ($1.75); my companion got one of the off-the menu bagel sandwiches -The Bon Mi - also $8. (Bagel, roast pork, cucumber, spicy mayo (not spicy at all), cilantro, pickled carrot+daikon, and jalapeño. One (1) slice/round of jalapeño (also mild and not the least bit spicy. The two plain bagels were $2.25 each, the 2oz walnut butter $3, 2oz vegan poblano cream cheese $3, and the kimchee cream cheese $1.75. The chocolate chip cookies? $2.50 each -- and yes, I tip generously. My breakfast bagel was wonderful... truly the thing memories are made of! Being a kimchee fan, I loved the spicy kimchee cream cheese - and so did my dining partner (who was jealous because she was hungry for a spicy breakfast - yet hers was completely mild (while mine made no mention of spiciness) -- still, her sandwich was great. My plain coffee was fine; her lavender latte had a the tiniest tinge of purple before it was stirred but, sadly, no specific lavender flavor upon tasting it (and asking my opinion, too). Not happy about the prices, but Savannah is a tourist town and they can scalp the tourists as well as the artsy crown at the design school. Good thing the rich kids can afford this place. As for me... it reminds me of the old saying, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." So... call me a fool; sticks and stones; see if I care! Yeah, we'll be back. The kimchi cream cheese was delicious! Stopped here for our first time for bagels + it did not disappoint. We each got bagels with cream cheese - although the sandwiches sounded so good as well. I personally love kimchi so I got the kimchi cream cheese which had such a delicious flavor. It wasn't too overpowering or too strong of a fermented flavor, so I would recommend even if you're not as fond of kimchi by itself. So nice I had to come twice! The open seating outside of the establishment is perfect for social distancing, and it's super cute. The tables are large enough for probably ~8 or so people. I ordered one each time I visited and only ever managed to eat half. My wife ordered a sandwich as well, but with the vegan poblano cream cheese. It had enough of a kick, a good spicy flavor, that she enjoyed. It wasn't gritty the way some vegan cream cheeses can be. She was so excited vegan options were offered! On our second visit, I ordered her a blueberry lemon bagel (the special of the day) and plain vegan cream cheese. The blueberries were LEGITTTTTT blueberries, and the bagel was filled with them. No skimping at this restaurant! On my second visit, I had the same breakfast sandwich but switched up my coffee order to try an hot honey and lavender latte. Somehow, this was even more delicious? But that may have been because it was cold outside, and the sweet, hot coffee was the perfect way to warm up. i never leave reviews, not even for bad experiences. but alas, just wanted to say it's super weird that i spent $17 on a bagel and coffee and they wouldn't give me a cup of water. the cashier girl told me i "can buy a bottle of water." like sure add another $6 Fiji to my tab (that's all they have lol). in my home state it's a law that you have to serve all paying customers water if they ask, assumed in 98° savannah that might be a thing too? super shady as a business to create a rule that prevents customers getting a free cup of water with their overpriced bagels. read more

8/7/2020- I've been wanting to try this place for sometime. The thought of a fresh wood fired bagel after a run in Forsyth Park sounded like a good idea. I opted for The 912, its kinda the traditional bacon, egg, and cheese bagel sandwich. Specifically its a fried egg, bacon, and cheddar with an herb butter spread on a plain bagel. It was delicious. I originally was going to get it with an everything bagel, but once I saw the special was salt and pepper I asked the cashier which was better.
