Teriyaki chicken with brown rice and crab puffs
    Celia V.

Big Bowl does this big back right! I have had it several times now. The food is always hot and fresh, even when ordered for delivery. The crab puffs are amazing! Perfectly cooked to where it has a nice, crispy outside, with a delicious soft and warm inside. They never taste like they have been cooked in old oil. In this order, I also got the teriyaki chicken with brown rice. Everything was delicious! I've also had the shrimp fried rice, orange chicken, and Kung pao chicken. All great choices! Very friendly service as well. I've never eaten inside , usually just get it to go. But it did look nice and clean inside. Highly recommend!

Solid Chinese food at a great price--Big Bowl is that low-key gem you wish you found sooner. Let's talk highlights: the crab puffs? Unreal. Crispy on the outside, but the inside is creamy, rich, and flavorful in a way most places don't get right. I could easily take down a dozen. They're not just a side--they're the moment. The General Tso's Chicken was another win. Crunchy, saucy, and just the right mix of sweet and spicy. Not too greasy either, which I appreciate. Paired it with fried rice and felt like I had a full feast for a steal. Fast service, big portions, and food that hits the spot--Big Bowl does exactly what you want a casual Chinese spot to do. I'll definitely be back for more (and yes, I'm ordering extra crab puffs next time).

We pass this place all the time and the parking lot is always full so we figured we would go in and try. We were not disappointed. we ordered Wor Wanton soup and NY Style Chicken Chow Main. It came with rice and crispy noodles. The chow mein was GREAT! The white rice was cooked to perfection, not too moist and just dry to my liking. the Wor Won Ton soup was ok, but could have been better using a chicken stock instead of beef. the wontons were hand rolled and used a heavier noodle. they were ok but I would have enjoyed a little different taste. the soup also lacked boc choy, parsley, sliced pork and more mushrooms. Over all, the meal was tastey and we will return again. Jeff AzcameraReviews

I ordered delivery from here on DoorDash, the food was done quickly, and everything was still hot and fresh upon arrival ! Everything I got was flavorful ! The lo mein was garlicky and perfectly cooked on the side of my general Tso chicken which was great as well! The pork fried rice has sweet bits of bbq pork pieces and was fantastic , and the Thai tea was the best I've ever had from here . I'll definitely be ordering again and trying more options !

Upon arrival I was met by a withered woman with a nasty temperament who literally snatched my card out of my hand! While deep breathing & contemplating walking out, I decided not to respond in kind. After a few minutes of me sitting in what looked more like a storage unit than a restaurant, she made me aware that my food was ready, rolling her eyes in silence upon my "thank you." To my horror upon returning home, I discovered a rotting orange slice in my food & no plasticware in sight. Hopefully my garage can enjoyed the lunch special!

We ordered at least once a month! We have never been disappointed! They always quote us 45 minutes on delivery and the foods here in like 20 minutes! It is super hot and fresh every time. These are pictures of our order from tonight, but this is generally what we order! Didn't take a picture of my husband's Wong soup but he swears it's spot on !

4.5 Stars... I've been meaning to try this spot for a while so I stopped by tonight. The team members greeted me promptly as I walked through the door & were friendly. I ordered to go & got the Spicy Basil House Lo Mein with Fried Rice. The order came out fast & hot. When I opened my meal in my truck to eat it I noticed there was no fork or chop sticks which was a bummer so I had to grab a fork from Circle K. I was pleasantly surprised at how good my Lo Mein was, the ingredients seemed fresh, the cuts of meat weren't fat, ligaments, or questionable. It also had a bunch of grilled jalapenos in it which definitely added to the flavor. The only reason I docked them a 1/2 star was the lack of any sort of utensils & the $1.50 upcharge for fried rice was a mistake, the fried rice was absolutely flavorless, even after adding soy sauce (I'll stick with white rice next time & save myself the $1.50 & disappointment.) I will definitely be back & I want to try their lunch specials.

For years I have driven 25 minutes for takeout and never regretted it. High decor -No, limited selections -No, quiet -No, great food -Absolutely, incredibly friendly and pleasant staff -100%. Our typical order is a large General Chicken with extra sauce and Malaysian fun chow. The general chicken is perfectly breaded, deliciously flavored, slight bite and an uncious taste making you want more. The Malaysian fun chow has wok fried wide rice noodles with a hint of char, shrimp, bean sprouts, onions, veggies and a light but savory taste. Another home run! Don't let the exterior or inside decor persuade your judgement. Hands down the staff is second to none and the food is fabulous. A Mesa Asian District Gem Worth Seeking Out…read more Asian Cafe Express is a lovely strip mall gem near H-Mart in Mesa's Asian District, and after 21 years in business, it clearly has a loyal following for good reason. We brought in a fresh lobster from H-Mart to try their "bring your own seafood" cooking option and chose the garlic onion stir fry preparation. It's $14.99 for anything under 2 lbs and $7.50/lbs for anything over. It came out excellent, served over crispy egg noodles with classic Asian flavors and plenty of wok-fired goodness. We also enjoyed the Peking pork ribs, which were deboned, tasty, and slightly sweet; the stir-fried green beans, which were fresh and well prepared; and the garlic spicy chicken wings, which were especially flavorful and highly recommended. The red bean drinks were traditional and satisfying, with soft, nicely soaked mung beans and no milk. Service was friendly, efficient, and personal, handled by a couple of ladies who clearly know the restaurant and their customers well. While we were there, plenty of regulars came in for takeout and several tables were happily dining in. Overall, we really enjoyed Asian Cafe Express and were surprised we had not stopped in sooner. Highly recommend, especially for the "bring your own seafood" cooking option and the garlic spicy wings. We will definitely be back.

The spicy is mild overall with a light chili spice on initial bite. It fades, so the dipping sauce was nice to have with it. The Xiao Long Bao were the winners of thee meal and would be why I go back. Easy to eat and tasty. I only wish the soup inside was a bit hotter. The Chicken Sheng Jian Bao was good, but the breading a little thicker than I personally like. This felt more like a dessert with the sesame bottom. Good taste, just heavy. Felt like we were rushed a bit and we're asked several times if we were done. There were empty tables, so that knocked it from the higher 3.5 side to the lower. Yelp is a flat star rating.
