Needed my tires rotated, but also a question about a tire pressure error code showing up on my BMW. They rotated the tires and checked the tire pressure but couldn't truly discover which tire was having the problem. They asked me to drive around and see if the error code which they removed, comes back. And if so, to bring the car back. All this extra searching and looking and investigating at no charge. EPIC FAIL!!! Bought two low-pro tires in the front and they were not balanced properly. So, no big deal I called them and told them the next day...they said bring it on back in. GREAT!!!! It was closing and I told them it seemed fine on city street, but I needed to try on highway that's where it was pronounced. They said no problem, just bring it back tomorrow. I did and was told to drive it for about a week. Please men STOP thinking ALL women are car-illiterate and do not know what they are saying. SN: my dad test raced cars for my godfather who was a racing engineer...I know cars just can't fix'em myself...a whole 'nother story for a different day. Bottom line it took too much to get a proper balance and alignment on two purchased brand new tires. But you try and let us know what you think. read more

We stopped by to get a tire puncture checked. They got our info checking us in and directed us to the waiting area. Waiting area was very clean as well as a clean restroom. When I went to Big Brand to get my new tires it was a fabulous experience! It was a great deal! It was A1 customer service! But, when I took my car back yesterday for the free realignment and tire check I was told the appointment would be about 30 minutes. After waiting an hour and a half, I was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. FIFTEEN minutes later and they still hadn't started on my car! Almost 2 hours for a 10 minute job. It was pretty disappointing that someone there didn't think to call the customers who had booked over the phone to let them know that there had been a computer glitch and people had double booked online. Big Brand Tires & Service is the Best! My tire kept loosing air. Went to Big Brand Tire to see whether I needed a new tire or patch. I didn't have an appt but Doug was able to check out my tire. Fortunately they found a screw and were able to patch my fairly new tire. What a relief. The big plus was that I wasn't charged for repair. Unfortunately I experienced some very poor customer service this morning. I made an appointment online for a wheel alignment and arrived 15 minutes before, at 9am. The owner told me my car would be ready in 1 hour, at 10:15am. By 10:45 it was not done, which is ok. By 11:30, I finally get a text saying it's done. I ask the owner to pay and he asks me to wait. I waited another 30 minutes while my car is just sitting outside ready to go, before I ask again. I stood right at the counter while the owner sat there without responding to me for about 5 more minutes before I could pay. It was noon at this point, 3 hours after I'd arrived. The website said the cost would be 25$ off for scheduling an online appt, and my text invoice said the the total was $105. I was charged $130 Anyways. I paid and left, at this point I didn't need to get into it. I felt like my time and money was not respected. Will not be coming back read more

I came in there because I had a tire pressure light on. Turns out it was the sensors on the tire's. They got me in right away and tested the sensors and turns out they were all good and the light turned off on my dash. They didn't charge me anything to check it. Great service. read more

My experience started when I called Big Brand Tire (formerly Newton Bro's Tire and Auto) from my dealership after getting a quote for new tires that was hard on the wallet. I was stuck since I couldn't drive with a nail in the tire wall and having all wheel drive my only option was 4 new tires. While I waited for my oil change I started searching, Costco, American Tire, etc. I saw that BBTS was having a sale on tires so I called. I spoke to a very friendly man who took the time to give me several quotes for tires - based on not only what I wanted to spend but the type of driving I did (off road, local, distance etc). I was able to get tires with 60K warranty for considerably cheaper than my dealer quote. Once we agreed on the choice he said I'll have them here for you at 3 today (they had to be pulled from their warehouse). When I showed up the tires were there as promised. I only waited about 15/20 min before they took my car in. They were busy, but very efficient. What I liked the most was that all the staff from the front men to the staff that worked on my car were super friendly and wanted to make sure that I was too before I drove off. To me, although they may have been bought out by a bigger company they kept their small business attitude and appeal. I would highly recommend them for tires, but they do more than tires too!! read more

The team at Big Brand Tire and Service are extraordinary. My new Sprinter van was showing a tire pressure issue and the Mercedes team had exhausted all of their resources. The Mercedes manager called Big Brand at 450pm and asked if they would take a look. They agreed even though they were to close at 5pm. Every person was kind even though they were staying late. This shop was a a breath of fresh air in the best "car guy" way! After suffering a brutal overcharge for my back brakes at another shop, a friend recommended the Newton brothers, Doug and Dave to take care of my front brakes and install new tires on my Jeep. Their quote for my front brakes was less than half what I was quoted at the other shop, they accommodated my schedule willingly and finished the job quickly. But, what stood out is when I picked up my car, they said I did not need new front brakes yet! They said it was an unnecessary repair at this time. Who does that? Honest businessmen who put community and integrity first. They reaffirmed that there are auto shops that operate without fluff so their customers get the service they want without feeling like they were taken advantage of. It's no wonder Newton Brothers have such a sterling reputation on the Monterey Peninsula. I will never go anywhere else for my tire and brake needs and I suggest no one else does either! read more
