Being someone that eats bbq when in tx, I was a bit disappointed with some of the food. The brisket was fatty. The beef ribs still had silver skin on bottom and not nearly the meat they should have. The Turkey was good. The beans were eh. I will give them a second shot in the future. read more

Tonight, my family and I decided to go back to Big B's to get some bbq. The last time we were there, we got the tri tip & shredded pork. So good! We decided to try the baby back ribs and shredded pork tonight. The ribs were good, but when you children tell you the pork is too salty to eat..well, that is an issue. Spending $64 on a meal for my family doesn't come easy. We all work hard for every cent we earn. I went to tell the guy at the front counter the issue and he said, "ya I tried to eat it with my sliders and it was way too salty". Wow ok so you acknowledged it was, but all I got was a sorry. Not a let me get you something else, not a " can I exchange it for another item"? I just got A SORRY! I have a lot of choices, and well I will start to utilize them. Well I love the country music and the atmosphere. The turkey was very flavorful. Corn was standard and salad very standard. This is a great place to order something more comfort food-ish ie. like macaroni and cheese perhaps. About $46 total for us together w/ tip. Just a cashier really. This place is another one of my go-to places for great food -- and in this case, it's BBQ! Las Vegas is typically not associated with barbecue. Usually with the BBQ joints I've gone to, the meat is either over cooked to the point that I feel like I've bitten into shoe leather or dust, or it's undercooked and tasteless. Enter Big B's Texas BBQ, riding in on pigs and cows pulling a technicolor smoker, spreading joy, BBQ spice dust and the smell of delicious smoke everywhere. ( Not really, but with how amazing the BBQ is, I imagine that's how they roll into Vegas every day! LOL. ) Big B's is my personal favorite BBQ joint for a reason: great service, great style, and BBQ that melts in your mouth! The restaurant itself looks like a makeshift set-up you'd find outside, with wooden tables, logs for smoking everywhere, and wire spools for chairs and tables. It really sets the tone for the food. And oh my god, is it good BBQ. The portions are GIANT -- come in hungry and wearing some loose pants, you'll need it! I always get their brisket and baby back ribs, because those are what I use to judge a BBQ restaurant. The brisket just melts in your mouth ( Meat! Melting in your mouth! ), and you can taste the smoke in each bite. The ribs fall off the bone without much effort -- so tender and moist! I've never had ribs anywhere else that do that. The meat is really the star of the show here, but they also have amazing sides as well. Macaroni and cheese with plenty of cheese and crusty parts, which I like; a surprisingly light and flavorful pasta salad; and corn bread muffins so fluffy that I didn't even need butter for them! They have more sides, but these are my personal favorite of the bunch. Move on over, other BBQ joints -- Big B's really showcases what truly amazing BBQ is all about. My only complaint is that I always have to take a nap afterwards because of all the delicious food! LOL. If ever you're in Henderson and want good BBQ, run -- don't walk -- to Big B's! First timer here! I love a good BBQ - I had just moved from LA and was looking for a new local place. I went shopping at Costco and saw this restaurant next to Cane's on my way. I was very excited when I walked in, the smell of some seriously delicious food was being made here! The restaurant decor is fun, welcoming and very spacious, it was also very clean with a self serve drink station. When you enter, you're led to the left where you can see the staff cooking the meat and all the sides available - above that a huge menu. Food- I ordered the 3 meat plate, it was about $19 and comes with two sides. I got chicken, tri tip and beef ribs which were an extra charge of $5. It came to 2 ribs, about three 3 inch pieces of tri tip and the chicken was a thigh + drum. A good amount for two for about $25. The beef ribs were pretty good! Though not as meaty, I instantly wished I got a whole order instead. The chicken and tri tip were really dry, the tri tip basically fell apart but not moist at all with no flavor. It was like I put chewed up paper in my mouth. The chicken was blackened which isn't as bad since the meat itself was super dry with no flavor and my parents agreed. The sides: Mac n cheese, Creamed corn and coleslaw were great though! It basically saved the meal. Dinner rolls are plain and served cold. Overall, I think I came on a bad day. The smell of food did not match what I got unless it was just served old food. Anyway, I'll be back for the sides at least. read more

So we went here to enjoy bbq. Turned out they were having an employee meeting right by the area where you stand in line. One female employee crying another young man defending his position, three or four other employees there at the table and one manager dropping the "F" bomb about employees and customer concerns. All and all pretty sad to see this happening when so many other area of the seating area were available to leave patrons undisturbed. Two employees working the food line. Decided to not eat here based on the disarray and not really wanting to witness what was happening. Employers need to keep this out of the public eye. Not everyone wants to hear and witness the lack of guidance and professionalism. read more

So I met up with some friends for an early dinner and I was excited because I've driven past here a couple times before and the smell alone always kept me wondering how the food was since the smell was amazing! I walked in and there was no line/no crowd, yay! A super nice gentleman took my order and provided great recommendations. I'm a beef rib kinda girl, so that's exactly what I wanted. I ordered the beef rib dinner ($5 up-charge for ribs, FYI), which came with 2 sides; I tried the fried Okra and Cole Slaw. My meal came out to about $16 which was what I expected but still pretty pricey! I waited about 10 minutes then someone brought my meal to me. The beef ribs were huge, with tons of meat with a combination of fatty pieces and lean pieces. They had a overpowering burnt charcoal taste so I wish I would have told them not too well done, I like a little rawness to my beef. I think the beef ribs were too well-done for my liking, that's the only complaint. My sides were good, but I really wanted to try the Mac n' cheese, maybe next time. I recommend the restaurant follow up. Good prices on wine and beer. Cleanliness 5 Stars!! Wife and I love the Texas BBQ atmosphere. Good down home cooking. You order at the counter and they bring your food. Everything is disposable. Get your plastic utensils and plates when you fill your sodas. We shared chicken and baby back ribs with baked beans. The beans were a little sweet for my taste. The place from the get go seemed to be disorganized. There was a long line of customers waiting to be served, the problem was on the cashiers though. Maybe that was due to a training issue. My wife ordered a two item combination with 2 sides - tri tip, hot link, Mac and cheese, and coleslaw. I ordered a one item - pulled pork, beans, and Mac and cheese. The items were served on food trays, no plates. I think plates would be a better option. The paper on the tray didn't even try to keep the liquid in my pulled pork at bay. And may have changed the flavor of it. My tray was a mess to bus at the end of the meal. My pull pork was bland, which might be a conscious thought on Big B's to allow the customer to add their own sauce to it. I didn't care for the Mac and cheese, they would have been better off baking it and giving you a square than a goopy glob scraped off the bottom of the pan. The beans were good and tasty but a tad undercooked. My wife's hot link was delicious but did not have any bite at all. Maybe leave hot out of the description. The tri tip was cooked to perfection. She didn't like the coleslaw, which was on the vinegar side. It went well with my beans, so we traded Mac and cheese for the coleslaw. She liked the Mac and cheese. The cost was reasonable at $40 for the two of us with drinks (soda). We want to come back and try a family style dinner. But the absence of plates might make it hard. read more

Was hoping the 4.5 star reviews were true. Baby back - a little smokey but on the dry side. Brisket (moist)- definitely moist but lacked the smokey flavor. Preferred this over the ribs. Baked beans were good and flavorful but a little saucy. Corn bread were small and dry. Mac and cheese was ok but a little thick and not cheesey enough for me. Cream corn was not good. Corn was blended and flavor was salty. Fries were hand cut but I prefer my fries to be crispy and these werent. Staff was nice and helpful. Good for large groups. From other reviews sounds like it might be a little inconsistent. I might try other items if I was in the area. read more

Most of what I read was pretty darn accurate. I liked the feel of the restaurant. Picnic tables, giant wooden spools, hanging lights and country music. We entered and were greeted right as we walked in. Got to try some samples. Those samples sold us on some of the sides. We ended up getting the tri-tip and brisket with cream corn, bbq beans and wheat bread (over the white). We also got an extra side of fried okra because I loveeeee okra and always have to get it. I also got a side of yelp sauce since I saw some one mention it in a tip and got the free pickles, jalapeños and onions. Let me tell you that I'm always a skeptic about yelp reviews, so I usually just put tips down of what I like and what I don't like. I liked everything but the fact that the tri-tip was a tad bit too dry for me. Dipping it in the sauce definitely helped, but the yelp sauce was a creeper. We were speaking with the owner. She was super duper nice and was explaining what she could about the sauce. He husband makes it, so she wasn't 100% sure what went down. So all-in-all, I really liked this place. The ambiance, the customer service provided and the flavors were all on point. I'm glad the meat wasn't drenched in sauce. First time trying this place! Got the party pack that feeds 4-6 people and then a I believe it's called a slab of ribs. I didn't know that the beef ribs costed more than the baby back ribs but oh well. Overall I did like this place! Sides were huge and we were able to get side of Fries for free when using the check in on Yelp. I'm guessing the side was like for a single person which was fine! It was free regardless. They offer three types of bbq sauce we got the Carolina sauce and the sweet sauce. The Carolina sauce has balsamic vinegar in it I believe I did like it but still prefer that sweet sauce. The staff was very nice as well! And she made sure to show me all my stuff before I left too which I liked a lot! Definitely will try and head back in the future. read more

What an unexpected surprise! I was in the mood for some bbq and I chose this place for my friend and I. At first, as we approached the restaurant, it seemed like it was gonna be a small "hole-in-the-wall" type place but what an illusion, when we entered, it was much much larger. Since it was my first time, I chose the slider plate to try out different choices of meats, and a couple of sides. My friend chose the same. We were offered all the sauces to try with our meals, spicy, bbq, mustard sauce, and ranch. I liked how they served it in a small Shiner Bock box as a condiment tray. All the tables are picnic tables of various sizes for groups, couples or singles, which is great for bbq, you always need a place to sit comfortably while you chow! Food arrived served on trays and it was amazing. First off, I had the smoked chicken slider (so good and juicy) really good with the mustard sauce. The bread for the sliders were plain and a tad dry so the sauce helps to soften it up and made my bites more enjoyable. The pulled pork...(insert drool emoji here), so soft and perfectly cooked with enough juiciness to eat as is, but I did try a bit of the spicy sauce - yeah, couldn't do it, I started getting the sweats, but the bbq house sauce was perfect! Lastly, was the beef brisket - wow. So juicy, slow cooked to softness and great flavor. My friend and I had the Mac and cheese and we both felt that it was good and cheesy, but in my opinion, it was a bit dry for me, I like a bit of sauciness. The fries I had were crispy but didn't really stand out for me. My coworker had the baked beans and judging from her first bite reaction, I had to try it-omg! It was a melody of sweet, tangy, & spiciness that made me wish I ordered that instead of my fries. Overall, with the country music, the interior decor, the food and the lingering smell of bbq, it will make you feel like you're not in Las Vegas! You can do family style or order a plate if you so desire. Each of us in our party did a plate. I chose to get the two meat plate with turkey, ribs, mac & cheese and fries. This was a lot and I knew it going in but I wanted to try as much as possible and I could always take the rest home. The turkey was juicy and not drive at all. Ribs were very saucy and not dried or over cooked. Meat came right off the bone. The sides were scrumptious and would definitely get them again. Price was actually not bad for all the food we got. Everyone in my group liked their food and had no complaints. Ok, for the bad. Me and my group sat in the establishment for over a few hours, eating and chatting. While we were chatting we noticed a bunch of turnover of patrons in the restaurant. Great for the restaurant. But as we sat there, we saw that no one was wiping down the tables or chairs. At all. Forget COVID19, that's just something you should be doing all the time and it wasn't being done. Staff would clear tables but that was it. Some of the staff were wearing face masks that only covered their mouths. What is the point of wearing a mask if you won't do it right?
