I ordered the steak and chicken combo off Uber Eats. I chose grilled rice (aka fried rice) for one and noodles for the other. My delivery w smooth and nothing spilled lol. The noodles were bad. They were dry and flavorless I basically threw it away. The steak was burnt on one plate as u can tell from the pic. But the non burnt ones were pretty tender. The chicken was also really dry. Nothing special. Also a bit flavorless. U def need the sauce it comes with. The fried rice was not bad but also not great either. It was overall okay. At least it wasn't dry as the noodles. We've ordered from volcano grille many times over the last few years and had great experiences with the food. Today not so much. My girlfriend and I both got steak and shrimp with grilled rice and the yakisoba noodles. I added on an extra scoop of grilled rice, yakisoba noodles, macaroni salad and 2 spring rolls. I also splurged and added the lobster tail with mine. When the food arrived I was surprised to see only 2 containers of food along with a very small cup of Mac salad. My girlfriend's food was correct and delicious as usual. The steak was very flavorful and cooked nicely. The shrimp are decent size and nicely grilled just right. Unfortunately my container was a mess. I'm guessing they just packed in my extra orders of grilled rice and noodles, which didn't amount to very much at all compared to the regular amount that was in my girlfriend's meal. They also squished the 2 spring rolls into the container with the rest of my food. As a result, the spring rolls were soggy and gummy. The lobster tail was more shell than meat. I didn't expect a lot for the lobster tail side, but it really wasn't much bigger than maybe 2 or 3 of the shrimp. It was also very overcooked and stuck to the shell as I tried to remove it. The lobster meat itself was dried out and didn't taste very fresh. The steak and shrimp were good as usual though. The puny macaroni salad wasn't anything to brag about either. Gave off grocery store prepackaged vibes. The restaurant is a bit on the pricier side which normally I don't mind because the food has always been on point. One of those spur of the moments where you're like " I'm hungry " and " oh look, we've never tried this place before." So we decided to try it. I'm happy to say we enjoyed it. The burgers were surprisingly good and so were the fries. The shrimp cooked perfectly. My son who is the most picky eater you'll ever meet liked the chicken and spring roll. The only thing we didn't care for was the noodles. They were too sweet for my wife and son. We really liked the creativity of the restaurant. There was a mural on the wall which showed some Nintendo themed characters. You wouldn't notice who they were if you weren't a video game fan. Very creative. Came expecting it to be a let down but it was honestly pretty good! I got a standard protein plate with chicken breast, grilled rice, Mac salad, and vegetables. The chicken breast was a little firm but seasoned well. I got teriyaki sauce on the side to put over it. The rice was extremely good, and the veggies would have been good if it wasn't mostly zucchini. I wish there was more broccoli. The Mac salad was also good. My partner is Hawaiian and described it as "legit". Everything was seasoned very well. If I had to change anything, it'd be the chicken tasting just a little fresher and less cooked. Their Fuji Yumma sauce is also super tasty. It's a traditional yum yum sauce. Their sauce variety is pretty diverse and almost anyone could find something they like here. While it can be pricey for those wanting a bit more food, I found it to be a solid portion size for $16. I wasn't left hungry. i ordered through uber eats 2 chicken plates with veggies grilled yakisoba noodles and grilled yakisoba noodles. What arrived was chicken, double rice, and yakisoba noodles -- the vegetables were completely missing, and the meals were not what we ordered. My spouse called the restaurant politely to let them know about the mistake. The woman who answered initially asked how we wanted to handle it, and he simply said he'd be willing to pick up the correct plate another day. At first, it sounded like they were willing to make it right. Then she placed him on hold. When she returned, her tone had completely changed. Suddenly we were told, "You'll have to contact Uber Eats because the couriers are supposed to verify the order." That response made absolutely no sense. Delivery drivers are not opening food containers to inspect whether vegetables were included in the meal. The responsibility for preparing the order correctly falls on the restaurant. What made the experience worse was when we drove there ourselves hoping to resolve it in person. The lady with the pink hair, who confirmed she was the same person we spoke to on the phone, clearly had no interest in correcting the situation or taking accountability. Mistakes happen. Most customers understand that. But what people remember most is how a business responds afterward. We had stopped by this place before they were open, so we were hyped to find out they were finally opened! We had seen another location before and have been wanting to try. When you walk in, its a bit on the darker color scheme when you walk in. They have two ways for you to order- the kiosk or with a person. I personally find it easier to do it on the kiosk cause you can see the price as it goes up. Basic Plates start at $15 but I'm telling you now- it won't be $15! We opted for the BYOP. Grilled Rice- reminds me of fried rice, nothing special Yakisoba Noodles- it was okay, almost a bit bland and we used some of our sauces to spruce it up. Korean Fried Chicken: i loved the crunch of this. Best KFC I've had in a while and it comes plain. Tofu (plain) which is seared in garlic butter. The tofu was delish! They also have options of sauces, I originally thought it meant it was tossed in our dish, but its on the side. It was okay. Overall our plate cost $21, We shared it and it is definitely not made for two people. We ended up getting more food nextdoor at In n Out. Volcano Grille has opened a second location on S Eastern Ave and 215 E ( right off the exit ). Conveniently located. It is a Japanese Protein House / New Fast and Casual Teppanyaki Concept. They serve a variety of different plates / combos, high quality of steaks , chicken, organic tofu and seafood. We have got their Traditional plate and Create a plate option from the menu. The protein that we chose was steak, salmon, grilled chicken , chicken Katsu and Japan fried chicken , and all were delicious and served amazingly well complimented with their flavorful sauces. The steak was very tender, the chicken Katsu was perfectly fried ( one of our favorite choices of protein) and the salmon was THE BEST. All of the meat choices that we have tried were delicious, juicy and overall yummy . The rice and noodles were well seasoned and cooked right, not too dry at all, perfectly balanced flavors. They have a lot of flavorful sauces to choose from and we definitely recommend trying Fuji Yumma sauce. The portions were great and nicely presented. The food was very filling, we could not finish everything. Place is very clean, nicely decorated in a Japanese theme, very comfortable chairs. The restaurant is not that big, but there is plenty tables and chairs available for seating . The service is excellent, very friendly, attentive, extremely welcoming .
