A surprisingly solid burger at a fair price point. I went to BB (great name, btw) on Friday and tried a few menu items with an old college bud. Here are my thoughts. We got a 9yr anniversary, the chicken Sando, a strawberry milkshake, and some fries. The burger was on point! Flavorful, the bun held up well, the fixins for the burger slapped too. The milkshake was pretty standard. It didn't knock my socks off but it was chill on a semi-hot Friday noon. Fries? Honestly, I normally like shoestring but I wasn't in love. They just lacked the crisp I'm used to and were a bit oversalted. The Chicken Sando? Maaan...I wanted to love it, but it lacked flavor, the breading just wasn't really working with the chicken, and it felt like it was missing something. This one hurt. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall it's a nice location, the happy hour specials and price point were consumer friendly, and the service was quick, efficient, and friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I may give them a second look as the menu is huge/they have seasonal and monthly burger/shake specials (here's looking at you, Jerk Chicken Burger). Lastly, I love the name! Did I mention they're right next door to Matchbox? Please go check'em out.

$30 for Chicken Nuggets, Parm Tater Tots that came with no Parm and a milkshake. I've had multiple issues but this was the last straw. 9.50 for 9 nuggets so $1 per nugget. They charge way too much money for their product. I wont be coming back.

This place is a hidden gem! They offer halal burgers here, while halal chicken is available at a different branch. The burger was incredibly good, and paired with the fries it made for a fantastic meal. Service was efficient--ordering and pickup are done at the counter--and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the place was clean and well maintained.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Another big plus is the ample parking available. Definitely worth a visit!

Appreciate being able to customize orders at Big Buns! I'm on the keto diet and loved that I could get a burger on a bed of lettuce! Burgers are always made to order and taste absolutely delicious!

Great dinner experience! Very varied menu (beef burgers but chicken options and vegetarian options too). My dinner companion had a classic burger and fries while I tried a kale salad topped with falafel balls and angus beef burgers. Burger quality was excellent, falafel balls didn't hit the mark for me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restaurant was clean, music was great and played at a "conversation volume" (not too loud).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Didn't try dessert but menu looked appealing, I'm a sucker for anywhere that has a "Sweet Caroline" menu item. Friendly, attentive service. Will be back!

Joe, the manager is the quintessential professional restaurant here taking care of every single dimension of the food at this great restaurant. !It just doesn't get any better than this. These are by far the best burger and chicken sandwiches, bowls, etc. in Northern Virginia. The price is very reasonable no matter of fact compared to other places it's downright cheap. But the quality of the food and the quality of the employees especially if Cook is just top notch.

Amelia is an impeccable representative of the restaurant and is exceptional with customer service. She showed me the selection of drinks, explained their menu selections, and was patient with me as I made my selections. She is what made the visit awesome!!!

Stopped in to the Bog Buns in McLean today. This is my 3rd visit in a month. I think the food is great and their Classic bundle is a great value. But the new manager, Joe, gave great customer service. A first for this location. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. He took the time to make sure I was happy with the food. At a time where customer service has all but disappeared, Joe understands the value of a simple "Hi" and a smile. If you've had a less than welcome experience here, it's time to give them another try. Thanks Joe! Keep up the good work.

Stopped by today for a bite to eat while waiting for friends. The store was pretty busy at 6:30pm on a Wednesday night, Store is a typical modern fast food place. Order: 2 Angus Peppercorn crusted burgers medium + garlic Parmesan fries + 1 fountain drink . Total: $47.88 + $5 tip (they clean up so I felt bad not leaving a tip) The burger was moist and cooked properly. The initial bite was ok. Got a big taste of "bland beef" in first bite. As the second and third bites followed, taste was much better. There was many areas of salt and areas of bland which leads me to think they don't season or mix well. It is definitely juicy and it went everywhere. If you don't eat your burger fast enough, bun will get soggy. Seems like they didn't let the burger rest for a minute before placing on bun. Parmesan garlic fries has fresh garlic and if you like garlic, you'll love these fries. Overall, we would return here for sure. It was rated 8/10 for the meal however that is a pretty expensive tab for the meal . It's close to not be worth the amount. The burger $13.99 plus $1 for pickles . Parmesan fries $8.99. Some including myself may find this a little too pricey for fast food. Although we didn't enjoy any, most of the patrons were enjoying draft beer and alcoholic milkshakes. By the way, they have happy hour 3-6pm which may be why they were quite busy .

Their Nashville Hot Chicken Sammy is a standout--crispy, bursting with flavor, and just the right amount of heat. The truffle parmesan fries? Absolutely addictive, especially when paired with the chipotle sauce. And if you're a plain fries fan, don't worry--they're just as satisfying, though they tend to vanish off your plate all too quickly! For those looking to cut back on carbs, they've got you covered with options to turn your meal into a salad or quinoa bowl--or why not both? Once you take that first bite, trust me, you'll be hooked and coming back for more.

Big Buns-Mclean, is the newest addition to this great franchise. Located in a shopping center with plenty of free parking, Big Buns store is clean but with a much tighter space. Because of the store size, it seems like this location can get quite busy and fill up fast, but Big Buns keeps it moving! I placed my order to go, and it was ready within 10 mins...and I was even able to enjoy my cookie butter milkshake while I waited for my food. FYI..their milkshakes are phenomenal, and I must admit that their fried chicken sandwiches are among my faves in the area. I had their fries before, and they're nothing special (disclaimer: i received that particular order by 3rd party delivery, and the fries were cold), but I do like their fried Brussel sprouts, which comes with bacon jam and sriracha sauce. The customer service was also very friendly on my visit and my experience with Big Buns has been overall professional and service-oriented. One time, I called to express my concern about my milkshake (on 3 separate occasions) not being received with my food delivery. The Service representative was apologetic for my experience, and offered me a $25 gift card. They also explained that its expected for customers/delivery persons to retrieve their beverages from the small refrigerator. So just a heads up, if you place a to-go order (online) make sure you (or your delivery person) picks up all beverages from the refrigerator that's located next to the soda/fountain drink machine, prior to leaving. Overall, I highly recommend!

This is a new place in McLean with apparently many other locations around northern Virginia. Excited to try the burgers based on their story. https://www.eatbigbuns.com/our-story. Well I did think the burgers were good, but maybe not reaching exceptional level. The flavorful toppings were nice and did add texture and flavor but again not exceptional in my opinion. The place was new and exceptionally clean, the service was attentive and friendly for sure. This is a great addition to a rather boring McLean dining scene to be honest. Though they will be battling Z burger for survival now. Truffle fries were average- but not like Randy's Steakhouse in Tyson's ( ok different level). Nice variety on menu though and I love the TV and draft beer to make it more fun to hang out. Give it a try it's worth it. Burgers are $15 ish! So it's definitely focused on unique styles quality burgers. I think it's pretty darn good but pricey for sure.

Tried this place and it's good. Great service from the staff. I got a Nashville chicken sandwich with chipotle aioli and cheddar cheese w/ Cajun fries. Fries are spicy, but good. Sandwich was a little too spicy for me, I had to add ketchup lol next time I'll try a regular chicken sandwich. Few tables inside, nice little spot.
