Honestly came expecting to be disappointed, but left pleasantly surprised. I spent about $10 on the Uncle Jerome Nashville hot chicken sandwich (closest to what you might find at Popeye's or Chikfila) and around $10 for the Dirty Fries. Definitely enjoyed the sandwich, mixed feelings about the dirty fries. Best sauce is the honey mustard by far - the rest pale in comparison. Tried some of the popcorn chicken a friend got and that was good as well. Definitely wouldn't be opposed to coming back, but hard to do a 2x price compared to Popeye's. I'll come here for my chicken sandwich fix if I'm in the area, and elsewhere if I'm not. I had been waiting for this opening for sometime. I went yesterday, Day 1. The food here is the opposite of Shaq at the free throw line. The food did not disappoint. Not only was the chicken a great quality, it was hot, fresh, and delicious. The staff was courteous and helpful, even making the recommendation to get the spicy chicken on the Big N Sloppy. I also picked up a couple of Sliders which were simple yet satisfying. If I were to mention one minor thing, the Big Cookie was good but maybe a little over-priced. I'll let you decide. It is obvious that Shaq has taken great efforts to insure quality in the food and the service. BF agreed the uncle jerome was better. Won't order again. Popcorn Chicken - decent. Pricier than the burger though for a large size.. Mac & Cheese - basic. My daughters weren't wowwed by it. Cheese was bland and not the good kind of cheese. Dirty Fries - was okay. Not my favorite so probably better to order individual fries for the burgers. Now I finally read other reviews and agree Uncle Jerome's sandwich was the winner and why it got my 4* rating. I was skeptical of trying this place because of some of the reviews. My advice is to always try something for yourself. Also, eating at the restaurant will give you the best experience. As with all take out/delivery services from any restaurant your food is going to be cold and possibly soggy by the time you get it. So I don't think it should be given a bad review for that reason. I can tell you eating at the restaurant was a great experience! It's a cute little place with plenty of seating. Our food was very fresh and hot. And it was fast for as busy as it was. There's so much to say! This was my first time coming here, and it's absolutely incredible. The piece of chicken in the sandwich was thick and juicy, and the jalapeño slaw was flavorful and not terribly spicy. All of it worked so well together! A decade ago, I drank Shaq soda's amazing fruit flavors, with less sugar. However, there were limited sugar free or light sugar beverage options at Big Chicken. I was a fan of Shaq Vs. In that show, at one point, you talked about bringing value and a balanced diet to public schools. You failed to make that happen on the show and that same failure was evident here. Everything was expensive, $17 for popcorn chicken, fries and a drink. Come on brotha, we can do way better than that. Also, my chicken and fries were not crisp. One of your quotes is, "You need two degrees to get my cheese". I know that was intended for family, but I question if anyone working here had a high school diploma. The service was so slow, so unprofessional and inexcusable, if I didn't know you, or at least feel like I did, I'd be far more upset right now. I ain't no punk, so I will say the flavor of the chicken was better than any other fast-food chain, but the lack of value, and service ruined the experience for me. Finally had the opportunity to check this place out! We have been wanting to but wasn't sure how it would be. We tried two different types of sandwiches and a dessert and I must say, we have been to Nashville for their hot chicken sandwiches and my husband and I both agree that these sandwiches were much tastier than those! Yay, finally open! The chicken is juicy and tender. There are 4 diff sauces available, my fav is the shack sauce. We got the popcorn chicken and the MDE. Also got the Oreo shake which I'm told is shaq's fav. Everything we had hit the spot. My only critique is that I wish the popcorn chicken pieces were a little bit bigger. Some were so small that you couldn't really pick up easily to eat. The staff is so nice and helpful in suggesting things. Location is the old mucho burrito so it has a very similar setup as that. This round we tried only the sandwiches and the crispy chicken was delicious and had some good flavor! I would like more lettuce or vegetables to the mini chicken sandwiches but overall the flavor is there!! I removed two stars on the fact that the pricing is a bit high for the size and quantity of the food. You get not a lot of food for the amount you are paying for. The staff at the Big Chicken was also not friendly. They seemed kind of bored and annoyed when calling out numbers and didn't respond nicely when asking questions. Took my food and left out the door....... Well now this is when I will say "this is the BEST chicken sandwich I have ever had" ..... The brioche bun was soft, the chicken is nicely breaded, not too crispy not soggy just plain perfect. And cooked to perfectionas well! The "Shaq Slaw" is kick a$$ awesome, add the peperjack cheese and it all comes together. Now this sandwich has 1 pepper on the menu for its spicyness factor, I think it fits perfectly as it has some heat but more the flavor, you could still taste it.. The fries are funkily awesome, they are not normal fries they are wide (about an inch), but thin and flat. Done to my liking. I had some Shaq Sauce on them. It's a old fashioned type of fry sauce with a bit of a kick. Yes it's a bit on the pricey side for some, I get it.. You need to go and try it for yourself! read more

Went to this near after opening. I've had this at Kraken games and cool to see the store in Renton. Being new and near to grand opening it was SUPER BUSY. First off, kudos to the crew that night...they were HUSTLING! Friendly, fast, accommodating to the busy lines/waiting/etc. I stuck with the Uncle Jerome and sweet potatoe fries. No shake for me but they looked good and BIG. The fries on this night was a little overcooked, but I chalked it up to being real busy. If you like a solid crispy chicken sandwich, this is a great addition to have close by. I would say the Jerome is different than what I had at Climate Pledge Arena...and in a good way. Glad to have a new chicken spot in town to visit.  Big Chicken came into town with big expectations at a popular outdoor mall.  With Shaq's name attached, it adds a bit of intrigue and higher expectations. With that being said, I am not a fan of Chic Fil A.  Big Chicken definitely fills the bill, an assortment of tasty chicken sandwiches and as well as wings and strips.  We both had the Uncle Jerome chicken sandwich, which the chicken was prepared Nashville Hot style.  Definitely tasty and memorable, with just the right amount of heat.  The fries were crisp and non-traditional, but a nice change.  The milkshakes are decadent, mine was chocolate and peanut butter with chocolate chips.  Wowsa!  We'll be back to Shaq's! read more
