Watched four videos on YouTube on Aberdeen Centre Food Court that ALL touted the praises of the chicken wings as Wu Fung Dessert. They were not wrong. In fact I would go so far as to say that they are the best chicken wings I have ever eaten in my entire life. No sauce needed - simply an array of amazing unknown spices that made it so good I went back and got yet another three. Don't let the dessert in the headlining moniker throw you - they do chicken right.

Chicken wings are amazing... crispy, juicy, extra large, meaty with a distinctly Chinese flavor .. yumzzz

2.5 Stars I have went in the past and it was juicy, flavorful, and crispy. This time was my second time coming here and it was drastically different. It was soggy with very little crisp, the flavor was lacking, and it was dried out. Highly disappointed.

Wu Fung Dessert is not a dessert place but a savory noodle shop, savory snacks, famous chicken wings, and Hong Kong style ice tea or milk tea. (It's kind of funny how many Asian shops keep the shops original name in English to save on the paper work.) For someone from HK, it brings back great memories and definitely some of the best-of dishes. I've eaten here many times, and I have a unique favorite that is my must-eat. "Cart Noodles" is a popular quick meal for many HK'ers. You choose the type of noodles and the toppings. The options seem infinite. It comes with some veggies and green onions as garnishes. I've eaten so many variations of these in my lifetime. From Wu Fung, the irresistible topping is the pork blood, not that I normally tell anybody that but I'm telling the internet instead. Their pork blood is pillowy soft and flavorful. It's an acquired taste; once acquired, you can't lose it. Hehe. The second topping is usually daikon, but I also like the chives, and many options. Anyway, check out this place. I'm sure you'll find something you like. CASH ONLY!

I come here for their chicken wings and cold milk tea. It is hands down the best in the city in my opinion. Wings are marinated and battered well. It is delicious with golden brown crunch. Yes, it is a bit oily but not excessively but come on it is after all deep fried. Right amount of seasoning! I don't have milk tea all the time but when I do, this is the place I get it. Not too sweet or overly milky like some other place, every sip tastes refreshing and satisfying. Wu Fung has lots of other items but the truth is, I really only order my 2 all time favourites.

I was already so full from dim sum and the other Hong Kong street food inside the Aberdeen Center but our friend said the chicken wings here were a must try. So, I reluctantly ordered just 3 pieces. Boy....did I wish I could have ordered more and been able to eat more. These chicken wings were fried and seasoned to perfection. I found myself sucking on the bones to make sure no meat or flavoring was left. It was a little embarrassing doing so but I didn't care since I was here for food and I am savoring every last moment of it. I agree with my friend that there chicken wings are a must try! Come with an empty stomach so you can eat more than the 3 wings I ordered!

The wings here are sooooo good. Their secret marination recipe is just so flavorful. The skin has an inviting golden color as well as a thin and delicious crisp without heavy breading. The meat is juicy and tastes fresh. Definitely get the wings! The deep fried squid tentacles are also quite good. There's breading scattered at the ends of the tentacles so it was a nice balance of crisp and squid. The hong kong milk tea is dirt cheap- $2.50- the cup is not small either! It has a distinct tea flavor and I liked it.

This is my go to place for fried chicken when I am at Aberdeen center. The fried chicken is tasty because of the seasoning that is infused in the chicken. After eating one chicken wing you will end up eating them all!

The milk tea and the chicken here is the bomb. I came here 2x during a short trip to Vancouver/Richmond because it was that good. The milk tea was my favorite - cheap and big! Both times I went it was consistently yummy. :) If you're looking for Hong Kong style milk tea definitely get it here!!!

Different sizes of the chicken wings. Regular size on the bottom. I got 1 regular and 6 small where I ordered 6 pcs for $13+tax.

Very disappointed!! I have been here a couple of times, and I never got a bad experience like this time. Yesterday, I was shopping around and I decided to have something for my lunch. I was happy when I saw they were open. It was one of the few stores open in the food court. Then, I ordered 6 pcs of chicken wings for $13+tax. I didn't check my right away. When I got home and ready to eat. I realize that the wings were small, burned and overcooked. Bad quality of food. I was very angry to pay too much for those small wings, and I got 7 pcs of wings (1 regular and 6 small) where I ordered 6 pcs REGULAR SIZE for $13+tax. At least they should give double wings for a regular size. I recommended double-checking your order before go away. Even if you are regular customers. You never know.

Went there for their noodles soup. Cause I like their broth and brisket. Ordered yellow noodles, brisket, fish balls, and daikon. Stop going there for awhile. Cause their fried chicken shrunk in size and taste was so so.

Places come and go at Aberdeen all the time, but Wo Fung has survived for quite a while, and for a reason. I can't really comment on their other items, but I always make a beeline for their fried chicken wings, and cold drinks. Wings - omg these are good. Not too oily, but just the right amount of batter. I dream of this stuff at night. Drinks - $2 for lemon coke, lemon tea, or lemon honey water. All of them are good. I'll take this over a Frappuccino anyday. They really do this right, and of course, there is no substitute for fresh lemon slices.

Wu Fung Dessert is located in Aberdeen's food court - an odd name due to the word "dessert", but a place that serves good food nonetheless. They are known for their dessert wings, but I was able to try their noodles. Basically if you want a noodle bowl with two ingredients, it is a set price, three ingredients - more expensive, etc. There are different types of noodles here (oil noodles, flat rice noodles...) I tried their rice noodles with beef brisket and curry fish balls. Each bowl also comes with a few vegetables. My sister ordered oil noodles with soy chicken wings and beef brisket. They were made super quickly, and tasted very good for the price. I feel like the soup broth was pretty good, and the ingredients were just as tasty (and they included a lot, too). The quality is comparable to Sam Woo in the LA area. I also was able to try an order of the dessert wings (which are basically fried chicken wings). I think three of them was about $4-5. They were super delicious and really crispy. It was really good, but at the same time, I knew it wasn't good for me, but I couldn't stop eating them! And lastly, their lemon iced tea is really reminiscent of Hong Kong's lemon iced tea. It's served in a very durable plastic cup and they give lots of lemons. The tea is delicious, and I do think it's worth the $2.25.

Hei Hei Rice Roll is legit good, totally recommend, even my daughter too, I thought of her ( since she LOVES rice roll and couldn't make it on this trip with me) while enjoying these roll but when I shared with her the photos and mention that we will go back here with her- she already visited. She said it was so good! Hei Hei Rice Roll is located at the Richmond Public Market, oh wow - this place is really popular, on the 2nd visit I was the first in line then the line wasn't so long but while waiting for our order, the line got super long. I was lucky I didn't wait long in line. Best to arrive early. I am not sure what the secret to the rice roll but Wow, it's so thin, silky, smooth texture with the toppings, so great together. The last 2 times we had rice roll with my daughter at Portland and Seattle- followed per Instagram reels- those did not even compare to these rolls. My first visit I got the combo which is the best deals, starts at $15.50 but depends on what you select for the selection for rice rolls and congee. I got the pork & preserved egg congee, shrimp, mushroom, pork rice roll. The 2nd visit I got the combo again, with liver & preserved egg congee, scallop and shrimp rice rolls, but I got my order wrong for the roll- they missed the shrimp. fyi-I found out that bean sprout, corn, toppings are free! Both combo came out to $17. super cheap! Cash only, they take USD but its the same dollar $ value. I wish they take credit cards, hehe. & the Verdict: Yummy, the congee hits the spot for comfort food, loved how it is cooked and they add peanuts too. Love the packet of sauce for the rice rolls, the umami-ness, so good. Best to eat it hot and fresh! Don't forget to ask for chili sauce, to add that extra spicy kick! For now, I am not sure I'll ever find a spot that is closest to Hei Hei for my congee and rice roll fix until I get to visit Richmond, BC again.

We waited approximately 25 minutes which is not bad at all considering how popular this small restaurant is. My mom is vegetarian and my girls had a wonton noodle soup lunch at another spot down the street. So we ordered a few things mainly for my dad, husband and myself: 1) Platter with barbecue pork and chicken (雙拼叉燒香油雞) 2) Half-order of roast duck (半隻脆皮燒鴨) 3) late of roast pork (燒肉) 4) Bowl of rice (一碗米飯) We cleared everything. The meats were juicy, tender, and flavorful. My girls are usually indifferent to Cantonese barbecued meats but they tried it and enjoyed everything as well. This was easily our favorite dish for the place. Bbq pork and crispy pork are both spot on as well. They give generous and juicy cuts and the crispy pork is, well, crispy. The skin is a nice crunch and the meat is juicy, what more could you ask for? I still salivate and dream of the meat here and I wish we had something like this back in LA cause I don't know who else would make soy chicken as good as here. Cash only so come prepared! Throughout our visit, the waitress directed almost all of her attention to my husband. She explained everything to him in detail while barely acknowledging me. Even after I placed the entire order for our table, she continued checking only with my husband about everything we needed. When it came to drinks, after the two men had placed their orders, she didn't even ask me if I wanted anything before walking away, as if I were invisible. At the end of the meal, after I paid the bill, she turned to my husband, smiled only at him, and completely ignored me. It was extremely impolite and made me feel disrespected. The braised combo is pretty solid - I didn't really like the funkiness to the intestines (I generally enjoyed it in barbecue settings) but the fish cake was fantastic. I also liked the texture of the pork ears. The Taiwanese egg wrap was a bit tasteless, so I wouldn't recommend. Braised pork sauce rice is the lu ruo fan which is a large portion with seaweed, bean sprouts, and soup on the side. Pork chop was flavorful and juicy but not crispy batter, which is okay.
