Me and my girlfriend were cruising wrigleyville around midnight looking for an open place to eat. We across big g's and figured why not give it a try... I was very impressed that at midnight they had over 8 varietys of pizza fresh and ready. I stuck with the traditional sausage and pepperoni and my g/f had the buffalo chicken and phillly cheese steak. All were excellent. Fresh, large slices, and very well priced for the high quality. The service was what made me give this place a 5 instead of a 4. the staff was very friendly and very helpful in explaining the different types of pizza. Great Mac N Cheese Pizza and lots of other variety's of crazy creations you can get all ready to go. All very good. Just make sure you have them warm your pizza up in the oven long enough and you are good to go as everything is precooked to make sure it is ready for quick service. I am a neighborhood guy and live about 4-5 blocks away from here. I've been here probably 10 times since it opened. All good experiences except one time when I wanted a pop with my pizza and I was a quarter short. The guy was willing to risk pissing a neighborhood potentially loyal customer off by not letting it slide and let me give him his quarter next time or just let it go. He literally took the pop back from me and put it back and I said "really", this is how you are going to treat your neighbors and loyal customers? Talk about a tight ass. But he let it go after I gave him some shit. Anyhow this place is worth checking out. They are new and still trying to figure out how to be professional and do the little things that are big, especially to neighborhood people, but they will figure it out. So overall consensus, good pizza, nice location, nice staff, but still trying to figure out exactly how to run a business, but it will come with time. This also depends who is working. Some people here are more friendly and know how to build a business then others. If you go here, they have a good variety, but don't leave without a piece of Mac N Cheese Pizza. I can't get over the dough that they use for their pizza - it is ridiculously soft/light and really makes their pizza taste great right off the bat. Their pizza also has the perfect amount of sauce/cheese with a variety of different topping options. You can buy multiple slices or order a full pie (online ordering offered through Grubhub) and they are 20 times better than dimo's down the street for two reasons: 1. their pizza tastes better, and 2. their service is better. Holy crap, this pizza is good! Caught this place by accident, wanted some pizza and left saying it was the best NY style pizza I've had...including NYC. Many different styles and toppings to put on your pizza. You can order by the slice, order from menu or make your own. So many options! The crust is thin and foldable and the toppings weren't overly greasy. The crust was perfectly crispy. It didn't taste dry and flour-y - it was more like a buttery crispy bottom with a little crunch. I haven't actually eaten here, but this weekend I was in wrigleyville when my phone fell out of my pocket. It's a basically brand new, perfect condition Samsung. I had a heart attack when I walked back to where I thought it had fallen at Addison and clark and it was no longer there. A friend of mine immediately called my number, and it turned out, the owner of Big G's had found it in the snow and picked it up. He was heading to dinner, but kept my phone safe and allowed me to pick it back up from the restaurant later. He easily could've stolen the phone and never said anything, but he helped get it back to me, and for that I'm so grateful! I will definitely be coming back to Big G's to try the pizza sometime soon. I appreciated the large selection and interesting options. I got, if I remember correctly, chicken alfredo pizza. I think that one slice was a week's worth of calories.
