panna cotta to-go, traveled well, delicious

Looking forward to coming back here! Very well-mixed drinks, tasty food. Had their garlic bread with marinara appetizer, it was pretty perf. There was a small problem that wasn't too terrible, but shortly thereafter the manager came out and without being asked immediately offered a discount and free drinks! [We didn't turn in to greedy b*stards however and stuck with our sodas and water] I took home my dessert, panna cotta, which apparently they make themselves -- it was so smooth and creamy! very much like a white flan or purin. I thought the berry sauce was a little on the too-sweet side, but I still ate the entire thing - the portion is large enough for sharing but I'll save that for next time ٩( )۶ already told my group that I want to go back!

I love it here. No frills, neighborhood spot with consistent food and cheap drinks. Service can be a hit or a miss, but overall, it's a great spot.

Pizza was mid although many claim it's amongst Chicago's best. Slight spice which I assume was from the garlic. On this unusually warm night we opted for outdoor seating & many patrons along with myself opted to simply park in the 15 min zone for free. Garlic bread was the highlight. I won't be returning

The pizza was very good for traditional tavern style pizza. This place has lots of hype for their pizza and it is 4/5 stars. Everything else is just average. Our waiter was nice and we sat outside which was also okay but there is more seating on the inside. I would go for the pizza only

Charming restaurant with decor and nice staff. Great pizza, too! Our sausage, mushroom with a few slices sprinkled with pepperoni pizza was perfectly cooked. The crispy edges are my favorite slices. Yum! The calamari was also pretty good, with great texture.

Solid tavern style pizza in Chicago! Definitely heavier on the cheese so would ask for less cheese if you aren't into that. Cute ambience with indoor and outdoor seating and great service. We also tried the "famous bread" as an appetizer while waiting for the pizza and it was so warm, soft, and delicious!

Pizza was just mid. It felt very dry/overcooked. I did enjoy how thin it was, like a cracker, which was a cool experience. I came here because Pizz'amici was an hour wait and I wasn't about that. Would probably try other spots in the area over this one.

We came because my husband had heard great things about it. IDK - maybe this place was great at some point but it wasn't on the evening we went. The service was uninspired, the food was mediocre, the restaurant was tired and the quality of most of what we had was not good. My husband and I ordered a salad to start (terrible all the way around) and a half pepperoni and half pepperoni and sausage pizza. The toppings were honestly so mediocre. I will say that the cracker thin crust of the pizza was done really well. Too bad the rest left a lot to be desired. Worst thing about it was we had indigestion for hours and hours after. I wish it had been a better experience all the way around.

Thinnest pizza I've ever had. Which means you get to enjoy more of the cheese and sausage. Which BTW is excellent. We also had the Pats special of mushrooms, onions, green peppers and sausage. Taste like Lou Malnatis pizza supreme but boiled down to its essence. Service was great. The bar tab was quite reasonable. The space is well lit with that old world charm only the patina of dark wood can convey. Would definitely come back.

Found this spot on instagram and we added it to our Itinerary. Considering Chicago isn't known for thin crusts we were kind of curious. Not sure what to equate their crust to but it's very very thin and crispy. I don't know if I'd call it crackery maybe? In any case, that's not really my preference. The flavor was pretty good in general but I didn't love the pizza as a whole. I'd say it's on the cusp of a high 3 or low 4 but to be more strict I think I lean more high 3. Am I being swayed by comparison though because we just had Pequod's the day before? Possibly, but I hope my rating is fairly unswayed like that. My other friends both liked it as well and it seems like they enjoyed it more than me. Considering how thin the pizzas are it still takes a bit for it to come out. It wasn't busy when we first came so I can't take that into consideration. I can say though that a ton of people came after the baseball game so a lot of people must really like this spot. Maybe a local favorite? The space was fairly clean as a whole. Booths weren't the sturdiest though, like you can feel the chairs shake when you get out.

Nice pie! Very solid. Sausage was flavorful. Love a think cracker crust. I'd return if I lived there.

Takes credit card Old style Italian photos. On a Monday evening it was quiet. Fried calamari ($14)- excellent calamari. Crispy outside, inside nice and soft, not over cooked. Pat's special- sausage, mushroom, onion, green pepper- 12 inch $19.50, 14 inch $23, 16 inch $27. 14 inch is enough for 2 people. It's a cracker pizza. I've never had a pizza with crust like a cracker. It's light, doesn't feel heavy. Flvaors are balanced. Marinara sauce is a little sweet. If you prefer some chew to your pizza don't come here. I consider this pizza a category of its own.

Pats is family owned and it feels that way the moment you walk in. Very calm ambiance and delicious food you can tell was made with care. Overall a great spot for a quiet date or family night.

The staff was super attentive and kind, checking on us frequently. My friend and I stopped by for happy hour, and this should absolutely make it onto the list of the best in town. They have delicious wine, cocktails, and bites for nearly half of the regular price. I opted for the happy hour prosecco to drink, which was light-bodied and not too sweet. We split the meatballs and dates for bites and both were outstanding. I was super impressed with how tender the meatballs were, and they did not skimp on the flavorful marinara and cheese! The dates, which were topped with a white wine cheese sauce, were mouth-wateringly delicious and a must order. There was also complimentary focaccia with olive oil, which was greatly appreciated. With sea salt on top and a crispy exterior, I could easily have eaten a whole loaf. The only note I have is that the portions are small, so if you don't come during happy hour the prices are a bit steep for what you get. Will 100% be back soon to try more of the menu and highly recommend making the trek over here!
