Small unassuming front with amazing flavor and enormous portions! We ordered a philly cheesesteak, chicken shawarma plate, several dolma, and a couple baklava. The philly cheesteak was massive and included thick au jus. The chicken shawarma plate was one of the best I've ever had with so many different flavors going on. I also appreciated that the baklava were just the right amount of sweet, so many others are overpoweringly sweet of honey but these were just right. Stop by if you're in the area! read more

These sandwiches are huge. Think classic Jewish deli in New York City meat quantity on a French roll... I wasn't prepared for this when I got my hot roast beef sandwich handed to me and I nearly dropped it given the weight! The roast beef itself was ok. A little too shredded for me but you can't beat the size of the sandwich if you are hungry. read more

This place is absolutely amazing! We ordered the French Dip and the chicken shawarma plate with chicken salad, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and made to perfection. The French Dip was loaded with tender roast beef, and the au jus was rich and delicious. The chicken shawarma was seasoned perfectly, and the chicken salad was one of the best I've ever had. The portions are huge, the prices are fair, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their food. What a great find! Within distance of our hotel. Clean establishment and very nice people behind the counter. The pastrami sandwiches were devoured was not able to take usual pictures BUT meat was freshly sliced and piled high and the provolone was perfectly melted. Still five stars despite the falafel (it is not you it's me- I love a crispy outside soft inside). I got three of those on the side. Lots of other trashy goodies like baklava for purchase. We found this gem on Yelp on a Saturday afternoon when we were out on a furniture shopping adventure. This place is GREAT. Sandwiches are high quality and reasonably priced. And they are hearty. We ended up bringing home two half sandwiches because we could only eat half. The staff are super friendly and gave my daughter a free lollipop--which she loved! On our drive home from a Long day at the water park we decided to stop by and pick up something for dinner. This was a perfect spot because each of our kids always want to eat something different. Always hear great things about this deli, and I was super excited to finally try it. I walked it and I assume the owner was who took my order. I told him it was my First time and to surprise me. Customer walking out said everything was good there, he had a quick pick up order. It was quiet but the space was extremely clean. They have a great variety of cold drinks and sides. I got home and this chicken wrap was huuuge. Almost a foot long, I measured it lol. Weighing a whopping 2lbs. I could only eat about half. Glad I have leftovers. This was delicious. So flavorful. The service was very welcoming and all their sandwiches were made to order with massive portions at a reasonable price. The au ju for the French dip was on the thicker side with a very deep flavor and the meat was super tender. The Reuben was also very delicious. My fiance got it with Rye and I don't even like Rye. Awesome sandwiches! Didn't want the usual fast food so decided to give Big H a try. So glad we did!! I got the pastrami with all the fixings and it was loaded with meat. Husband got the gyro and it was massive. Everything fresh in house--would love to try some of their prepared sides next time. Staff were friendly and quick. I had the meatball sandwich which was exactly like spaghetti and meatballs from Italy or thereabouts in a sandwich but not the spaghetti noodles so it was fantastic and it would have been two meals but as I said it was really good. Additionally secretly the owner gave my dog a few prime scraps so my dog tries to go home there now. Will be back soon for the mortadella. read more

I tried this place a couple of years ago and wasn't a fan of the spicy chicken shawarma wrap, but I decided to give it another shot. This time, I ordered the chicken shawarma plate with hummus and mac salad. The mac salad was tasty and the chicken was cooked well, but the hummus lacked flavor, and what I believe is tzatziki also didn't have much taste. Overall, not quite what I was hoping for. On our way back home, we stopped at a deli that I had discovered on TikTok. To my surprise, they had the best deli sandwiches I've ever had--full-stacked with meat. The soft roll was like a pillow, and the spicy mayo, spicy mustard, and pepper jack cheese on the pastrami were absolutely amazing. We also tried a Sharma, which was filled with fresh, tender, and seasoned chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, and tzatziki sauce. I can't say anything negative about this deli. Yesterday was my first time eating at Big H Deli, but my husband has been here several times and raves about the spicy chicken shawarma wrap. We both got that and I got a combo with the pasta salad. It was really delicious and humongous! The shawarma wrap is unlike anything I have ever eaten in my life. It reminded me of a cross between butter chicken and a gyro. It was really good. It was super hot when it was brought to our table. The pasta salad was good too. The service was pretty quick for it being cooked made to order. There are less than 10 tables inside the restaurant to eat at and there is outside seating as well. There is a large parking lot in front to park. We will absolutely be back. read more

The customer is always right, if a customer tells you your roast beef is too dry and overcooked, maybe listen to them and make it better instead of trying to argue with them, as easy as to compare a piece of roast beef that you just sliced with one that you cooked and see the difference. read more

We accidentally discovered it while looking for lunch. They had me at "falafel." Nice sized deli with Mediterranean and American menu. Plenty of seating. Very pleasant and helpful person took my order.Ordered a falafel plate. It came with options of two sides. Within minutes, I had my lunch of four falafels with hummus, baba ganoush, as well as salad and tzatziki. As well as a warm pita cut i four pieces. Delicious and too much for me. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon while in the area for our son's baseball game. We were greeted warmly upon entering. Taking in the menu boards we ordered and sat inside for our meal. Eclectic interior of a deli with about six tables for eating inside. Two tall beverage fridges near the register house your drink choices. Our food arrived in styrofoam to-go boxes, small paper bag with grilled pita, plastic fork and napkins. The boxes were quite full. I mean, above the level line with the side orders and main item. I had chicken shawarma, which was served heaped over a bed of lettuce, tomato and sliced red onion. The chicken was cut into boneless strips, coated in seasoning, moist and tender (no knife needed here.) Tzatziki sauce atop the meat and since I asked for "spicy" when ordering, there was something like sambal chili sauce also spooned across the tzatziki. My sides were baba ganouj and cucumber salad. The eggplant dip was creamy, smoky and delicious. The cucumber salad was in a nice vinegar/oil mixture with some tomatoes - very good. My son had the same as me, not spicy, and different sides ( macaroni salad and potato salad). My wife had the gyro plate, cucumber salad and dolma. Their portions were so generous that none of us finished more than half - gladly brining it home for dinner later! This is clearly a family run business, which seems to provide some delicious food at a great value ($14 for a plate which had plenty of leftover for another meal). I will certainly return when traveling through the area in the future. Thank you Big H deli! read more

I ordered two items that I used to get all the time: the tri-tip breakfast burrito and the Southwest tri-tip wrap. The restaurant is still a great place to grab breakfast or lunch. They have comfortable booths, a few tables, bar seating, and music playing in the background that gives the place a nice vibe. The menu is displayed on the wall along with their daily specials. One thing I noticed is that my old favorites weren't listed anymore, so I had to ask for them specifically. They also sell some of their food cold so you can take it home and heat it up later, which is a nice option if you're craving their food. The cashier was friendly, but I think she was new because she wasn't familiar with the tri-tip breakfast burrito or the Southwest tri-tip wrap. Another employee stepped in to help, and everything was taken care of without any issues. The two meals came to around $37-$39, with each item costing roughly $17-$19. It's definitely on the expensive side, so I was hoping everything would be just as amazing as I remembered. The tri-tip breakfast burrito absolutely delivered. It was a generous size, wrapped in a nicely grilled tortilla, and packed with plenty of eggs, cheese, and flavorful tri-tip. As I was eating it, I realized I forgot to ask them to add peppers like I used to, and I also wish I had ordered salsa on the side. Even without those additions, it was still every bit as good as I remembered. I would absolutely order the tri-tip breakfast burrito again. Unfortunately, the Southwest tri-tip wrap didn't have the same magic. The Southwest sauce looked a little discolored, the meat didn't really look like tri-tip, and the overall flavor just wasn't what I remembered from years ago. For the price, I expected a much better sandwich. Since I've had so many great experiences here over the years, I'm willing to give the wrap another chance because it's possible I just caught them on an off day. Overall, it was great coming back to a place that holds so many memories. The tri-tip breakfast burrito reminded me exactly why I used to come here several times a week, while the Southwest tri-tip wrap left me a little disappointed. Even so, I'll definitely be back for another breakfast burrito, and I'll give the wrap one more try before making up my mind.

I new it would be once I got out my car the delicious smell insanity got my attention smelt so delicious I had to give it a try and the outcome was great One of the best hot pastrami sandwich I ever had great bread fresh toppings and delicious meats friendly gentlemen working with a great attitude and personality. I was introduced to the Big H Deli six months ago. I have been back more than a dozen times. I was first addicted to the spicy chicken schwarma, then I got the roast beef "fan forever". Whenever I'm on my way to Sacramento, I make sure to stop by Big H Deli for a spicy Beef Shawarma wrap with everything in it. They're always consistent, savory, and generously loaded.
