I've been here a number of different times. It was sad when the sriracha shortage also affected them since their spicy sauce changed. The guy at the front is always straight forward, and the food delish though. It's a pretty open area with a number of tables but I've always gotten my food to go. The food is quick and he helped with any questions that I had. So far we've gotten the falafel wrap, falafel pita, the chicken shwarma wrap, the macaroni, potato salad, and of course the tzatziki. The falafel wrap with peppers, and the shwarma wrap with peppers are our go tos. Flavors are really good and the size of the wraps is nice. The macaroni salad is nice and herby; would be a great picnic side. And that tzatziki is amazing. I like that there's cucumber mixed in which adds a nice freshness and the herbs on it are on point. We usually get a tub of it so we can throw it on other things. Well worth the stop. I'll have to try more of the sides and veggie options in the future just to expand on the menu. read more

The meats are tender, salty, and delicious. It is a wide menu so there is plenty of variety. The team works hard and it shows. I ordered the beef sandwich w/ au jus and the spicy chicken Shawarma . Both were FANTASTICALLY flavorful and generously filled with beef and chicken respectively. Prices are very affordable and owners/employees were very nice and generally thankful for your patronage. My order was to go and my wait was less than 10 minutes at 5:30 pm. I thought it was a nice gesture that they brought out a small container of their roast beef for me to taste while I was waiting for my order. I will definitely be going back and frequently as it is a convenient 5 min drive from my home and when I need a break from cooking. Hope you give this small business a try. read more

Falafel are always a good idea IMHO! And of course we love supporting small, local businesses over chains when possible. So we stopped here for lunch on a summer Saturday to break up our drive to Sacramento. I used the Yelp Check-In offer and got a free fountain soda with my enormous falafel wrap. I also added a bag of chips. My friend took advantage of the lunch combo and got the shawarma wrap, chips, and a soda, and I think it cost us the same. We were surprised and thankful that they weren't too busy on a weekend at lunch time. Service was friendly and quick. We sat indoors and appreciated the a/c, but they also have a few seats outdoors in the back. We both enjoyed our enormous wraps and could only eat half. I was excited to dive into the other half later in the day and was delighted to find the hot sauce in that half. Love a good kick of heat! Randomly stumbled across this deli and seen the good yelp reviews and now I know why. I tried their spicy chicken shawarma with a cucumber salad and both were great. I took a picture of the size because I was shocked of how big it was, great value! I mentioned to the man at the cashier it was my first time there and he recommended a few sandwiches patiently and kindly. One being the chicken shawarma. I went on a random tuesday at 11:30am and it was pretty busy! Again, I know why. It was a and nice restaurant. Big H Deli made it on Yelp's list for best eats in the Bay area, so you know I had to make a stop to give this place a try. I called in my order, and the person on the phone was prompt and polite. They estimated about 15 min for the food to be ready, and soon as I got there, my order was ready to go. I was taking a picture of the menu for all you Yelpers, and an older gentleman came from the back and gave me a paper menu to take home. I appreciate that type of gesture. I wouldn't say the person up front was warm... but he was courteous and to the point. I don't mind that at all. FYI - The register accepts all card payment and Apple pay (yay for convenience!). I ordered two spicy chicken shawarma wraps to go. They had them wrapped in foil, in a plastic bag, and were thoughtful to include napkins because we def needed them. Be careful, the sauces from the wrap will leak out! The wraps were huge, like length and girth of my forearm. Half a wrap, with a side of chips was perfect for a filling lunch. The wrap is loaded with chicken, sauce, and lettuce, onions, tomato. For about $10, this is a deal! The chicken is so tender and juicy! I DO NOT recommend saving this to eat later. I learned this the hard way because we did not have the wraps fresh as we were saving them for a later lunch. The shredded lettuce gets all wilted and gross. Not the fault of the restaurant, that's just what it is when you have hot meat wrapped up with cold lettuce. Otherwise, the flavor was pretty good, and the spice level was on point. It doesn't hit you at first, but after a few bites, you'll feel a little tingle. Every time I tried to map this place, it pulled up as "Subway". Little odd but I let the maps do its thing and followed the navigation. It's located right across the street from the Sinclair gas station. It has a huge sign, you can't miss it. They have a couple tables for outdoor seating, and a ton of seating inside. The restaurant looked really clean on a Saturday around 1 PM too. I love that the location is right off the freeway, easily accessible, with a large parking lot. I'm really looking forward to giving this place another try when I'm in the mood for a sandwich! I noticed they have a bunch of options for sides, but unfortunately none of them are displayed in a case. I feel like offering that extra visual would be super helpful for those who like to eat with their eyes first, as well adding to the "deli" atmosphere. read more

We got two Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. Wow, just wow. Spent $26 on very bland, and when I say bland I mean the flavor was only in the bread. that's the only positive thing about the sandwich. Idk it was so bad that I'm surprised they even have it on the menu. Huge sandwiches on great quality French sourdough rolls. Friendly service and the dining room was packed. While we waited for our food we became uncomfortably aware of how dirty everything was. The walls, the floors, the ceiling fans, the salt and pepper shakers, literally everything needed to be either cleaned or replaced. I couldn't use the salt and pepper shakers because they were filthy, and the ones on other tables looked the same. The sandwiches were good, but they had a ridiculous amount of meat. We removed half of it and still had a hard time eating them. The "potato salad" turned out to be cold garlicky mashed potatoes with mayo, celery and pickles. I barely choked down the sample bite I took before tossing the whole container. Over cooked and over mixed potatoes. Just awful. This was a one and done for us. read more

You walk in and it looks like a normal deli place with a couple chairs and tables on the inside and a table or two outside. The service is pretty friendly and fast. I came here years ago and remembered it being one of the best shawarmas I've ever had and always wanted to come back but Fairfield is pretty far from where I live. I was able to visit recently and it was just as amazing as I remembered. I got the spicy chicken shawarma wrap and the chicken was so tender and juicy and combined well with their spicy sauce. It's made to order so everything tasted super fresh! The shawarma was pretty big for its size (about the size of my arm) and well worth the money. There is a parking lot right outside, small and shared with other businesses but I have never had an issue getting a spot as it is never fully occupied. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They greeted us when we walked in, checked to make sure everything was good, and thanked us when we left. This is now one of my favorite Mediterranean spots and I can't wait to be back. read more

We have also tried the cucumber salad and baklava which were both great as well. This place can get very busy during lunch hours but the service is still great. We were looking for a place to eat on the way to the mountains and yelped this place. It looked like an interesting hybrid between Mediterranean and classic American deli sandwiches. Ordered the pastrami and the chicken shawarma, the pastrami was a bit salty for my liking but the chicken shawarma blew me away! First thing you notice about it is that it's absolutely huge, then you bite in and every bite is a super juicy, warm, and super flavorful wrap full of veggies, creamy creamy sauce, and some warm yet a tad toasty chicken. It was delicious! Even better was the customer service. The girl who was working there was very friendly. I could tell it was a small family business so that always makes it easy to support. Lathered with dill yogurt on grilled pita. Hubby got the pastrami sandwich. Lots of pastrami. If you check in on Yelp you get a free fountain drink. The staff was very nice.
