Found this gem driving through with the family and all starving. Perfect spot and we will definitely remember it for the next time we're in the area. We've been going here for almost a year. We drive from the college so it's a close distance to get some food after class. Every single time we enter, we are greeted and welcomed in. We try to order something new each time, and I can say without a doubt everything is good on the menu. The sandwiches give a generous amount of meat and are refreshing. The plates are also big, which is great because you can eat some there and take a good amount of it home. I notice many people order to go, so there is always seating available to dine in. For a small restaurant, it has great use of the space and fun wall decor to look at. Overall, we will definitely be coming back even after school is over. read more

i love going here. great sandwiches and they are so fast and kind. my only problem was i recently went and the restaurant smelled strongly like cleaner. it wasn't too big of a problem because i got my sandwiches to go, but while my friend and i were eating our sandwiches, i noticed the smell of the cleaner infiltrated the sandwiches and i could taste the cleaner with every bite. i don't know if the smell seeped onto the bread or the meat, but it was kind of off putting and i couldn't keep eating my sandwich. i could also taste it on the baklava. this was kind of sad because i was pretty excited to try their french dip. and im always excited to eat their baklava. the au jus was great and had a lot of flavor, which is rare with typical restaurant au jus. read more

I've been here a number of different times. It was sad when the sriracha shortage also affected them since their spicy sauce changed. The guy at the front is always straight forward, and the food delish though. It's a pretty open area with a number of tables but I've always gotten my food to go. The food is quick and he helped with any questions that I had. So far we've gotten the falafel wrap, falafel pita, the chicken shwarma wrap, the macaroni, potato salad, and of course the tzatziki. The falafel wrap with peppers, and the shwarma wrap with peppers are our go tos. Flavors are really good and the size of the wraps is nice. The macaroni salad is nice and herby; would be a great picnic side. And that tzatziki is amazing. I like that there's cucumber mixed in which adds a nice freshness and the herbs on it are on point. We usually get a tub of it so we can throw it on other things. Well worth the stop. I'll have to try more of the sides and veggie options in the future just to expand on the menu. read more

The meats are tender, salty, and delicious. It is a wide menu so there is plenty of variety. The team works hard and it shows. Falafel are always a good idea IMHO! And of course we love supporting small, local businesses over chains when possible. So we stopped here for lunch on a summer Saturday to break up our drive to Sacramento. I used the Yelp Check-In offer and got a free fountain soda with my enormous falafel wrap. I also added a bag of chips. My friend took advantage of the lunch combo and got the shawarma wrap, chips, and a soda, and I think it cost us the same. We were surprised and thankful that they weren't too busy on a weekend at lunch time. Service was friendly and quick. We sat indoors and appreciated the a/c, but they also have a few seats outdoors in the back. We both enjoyed our enormous wraps and could only eat half. I was excited to dive into the other half later in the day and was delighted to find the hot sauce in that half. Love a good kick of heat! Big H Deli made it on Yelp's list for best eats in the Bay area, so you know I had to make a stop to give this place a try. I called in my order, and the person on the phone was prompt and polite. They estimated about 15 min for the food to be ready, and soon as I got there, my order was ready to go. I was taking a picture of the menu for all you Yelpers, and an older gentleman came from the back and gave me a paper menu to take home. I appreciate that type of gesture. I wouldn't say the person up front was warm... but he was courteous and to the point. I don't mind that at all. FYI - The register accepts all card payment and Apple pay (yay for convenience!). I ordered two spicy chicken shawarma wraps to go. They had them wrapped in foil, in a plastic bag, and were thoughtful to include napkins because we def needed them. Be careful, the sauces from the wrap will leak out! The wraps were huge, like length and girth of my forearm. Half a wrap, with a side of chips was perfect for a filling lunch. The wrap is loaded with chicken, sauce, and lettuce, onions, tomato. For about $10, this is a deal! The chicken is so tender and juicy! I DO NOT recommend saving this to eat later. I learned this the hard way because we did not have the wraps fresh as we were saving them for a later lunch. The shredded lettuce gets all wilted and gross. Not the fault of the restaurant, that's just what it is when you have hot meat wrapped up with cold lettuce. Otherwise, the flavor was pretty good, and the spice level was on point. It doesn't hit you at first, but after a few bites, you'll feel a little tingle. Every time I tried to map this place, it pulled up as "Subway". Little odd but I let the maps do its thing and followed the navigation. It's located right across the street from the Sinclair gas station. It has a huge sign, you can't miss it. They have a couple tables for outdoor seating, and a ton of seating inside. The restaurant looked really clean on a Saturday around 1 PM too. I love that the location is right off the freeway, easily accessible, with a large parking lot. I'm really looking forward to giving this place another try when I'm in the mood for a sandwich! I noticed they have a bunch of options for sides, but unfortunately none of them are displayed in a case. I feel like offering that extra visual would be super helpful for those who like to eat with their eyes first, as well adding to the "deli" atmosphere. read more

Prices are very affordable and owners/employees were very nice and generally thankful for your patronage. My order was to go and my wait was less than 10 minutes at 5:30 pm. I thought it was a nice gesture that they brought out a small container of their roast beef for me to taste while I was waiting for my order. I came here years ago and remembered it being one of the best shawarmas I've ever had and always wanted to come back but Fairfield is pretty far from where I live. I was able to visit recently and it was just as amazing as I remembered. I got the spicy chicken shawarma wrap and the chicken was so tender and juicy and combined well with their spicy sauce. It's made to order so everything tasted super fresh! The shawarma was pretty big for its size (about the size of my arm) and well worth the money. There is a parking lot right outside, small and shared with other businesses but I have never had an issue getting a spot as it is never fully occupied. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They greeted us when we walked in, checked to make sure everything was good, and thanked us when we left. This is now one of my favorite Mediterranean spots and I can't wait to be back. read more
