The service is always quick even when short staffed and busy. Inside is just like any other fast food place. However, you don't go for the decor, you go for the amazing food.

We ordered around 8:15 PM, a Cuban Crush and a Margherita Pizza, and got our food around 8:55 PM. Between the time we ordered and when we got our food, we did not see our server, Erica G. When we saw her 10 minutes after that, we let her know that some of our food came out cold. Her solution was to reheat the cold food or remake it. After being there around an hour, we really did not feel like staying, so we asked for neither. She sent her manager to talk to us. We did not catch his name, but he was wearing a University of Miami polo shirt. He offered the same solutions. When asked why we didn't have food for 45 minutes, he said a pizza can take up to 15 minutes to make and they were very busy. When I asked what he meant, the restaurant was not full, he asked if I wanted my food or not. I told him no, that I didn't really care for cold food and I was not sure if it was safe to eat. When I asked him that why we had not seen a server from the time we ordered until then, he said "What? Because your drink was empty or something?" At that point, I did not really want to argue over cold food and a waste of time, so we paid for our food and left. It was pretty disappointing to wait 40-45 minutes for cold food. It felt like our server went on break and no one covered for her, or noticed that some tables were going without service. I hope this is not what we should expect from Hamlin Pub. You have the option of a red sauce too, but I honestly don't know what that is cuz I've never needed to add further enhancements to my Big John Steak & Onion sandwich. This location has been here since the 70's -possibly earlier. There are a few tables inside and there is an antiquated drive through area too. Drive through is so old it makes me chuckle. Guessing most recent updates are the price changes on the board outside. Hearty sandwiches, and they offer other options besides steak but my eyes never see those options cuz the traditional steak and onion is my favorite thing about Big John's. The staff has always been kind AND accommodating when I tell them I'd like to have a few to fly back with me to AZ. They pack everything separately, nice and neat.

And 8-in super sub is around $10. A pretty good deal. Drive-thru is easy in and out plenty of parking if you want to go in with plenty of seating inside. It's easy on and easy off Dort highway. The tall guy with the curly hair really knows how to make the subs.

Thin sliced ribeye, and onions, cooked up nicely on the griddle. Cheese is an option, as well as mushrooms, peppers, their red sauce (this has never been on my list of must haves) too. And they have options ranging from 6" on up to an 18". Get it double meat if your hungry, you won't be disappointed. And they have a turkey sandwich too. I know, hard to imagine there are people that prefer something other than beef. So the food is really good. Unfortunately they only have Pepsi products. I can overlook this.
