First time I ever ordered from this place, got my order wrong. Yesterday (3/8), tried again ordering cornbread and grilled jalapeños and again got it wrong and gave me coleslaw instead of cornbread. For as expensive as this place is, to make this many mistakes, I would never recommend this place! $12 for cornbread and jalapeños to not even get that right! Don't waste your time. read more

No. Just no. Most flavorless BBQ I've ever had the unfortunate experience of eating. I had the chicken. Potatoes in the potato salad were hard and smothered in ranch dressing. Coleslaw was just mad vinegar. Won't be returning for any of that. Only reason this place got a star was because yelp made me give a rating. read more

Some of the best island style food I've had off the island, with the Hawaiian vibes you feel like ohana! The staff was super helpful on picking out a main dish and sides. The food was delicious between the brisket, smashed potatoes, burgers, grilled pineapple, and the sauces the place is a hidden gem! read more

Food is fine, had better BBQ have had worse. BBQ chicken was dry, also got Shrimp tacos and was pretty disappointing. $13 for 3 taco shells full of cabbage and pineapple. Way at the bottom of each were two tiny shrimp. Tasted good but they were cabbage tacos with a garnish of shrimp. I called to let the manager know we were disappointed, he didn't care. He said "yeah that's the portion." Ok cool, first and last time I will order from this place. Go across town to KC's. read more

I ordered Kahuku Shrimp Taco- it was disgusting - really gag provoking. Shrimp was not grilled, but parboiled; it was mixed with fruit salad of pineapple and mango , which would be good, but was heavily saturated in salty peanut sauce. I ordered through Door Dash, so can only comment on the food. The mac & cheese is literally Kraft, I'm surprised no one has pointed this out. I didnt care for the cole slaw, but it may have not traveled well. The corn bread had a weird taste, like it was sitting next to a banana. I ordered the pork belly, which was good, and got the rice for a side as suggested. I wish it came with some more sauce or some extra on the side to pour on the plain white rice. read more

This little restaurant is absolutely astounding! The pulled pork is mind blowing awesome. So awesome, it is difficult for me to try other items on their menu! BBQ Caribbean hot sauce is beyond delicious. Love it on their tacos and sandwiches. Owner and staff are working really hard to bring something fresh, new, and Hawaiian inspired to southern NH. Sure hope that they survive the Covid downturn. NH needs more restaurants like Big Kahunas! I eat here every week and it is the only NH restaurant that I do so. If you have not tried Big Kahunas Smokehouse you are definitely missing out on one of NH greatest hidden restaurant gems. read more

Don't do it! Waited for over an hour for our take out order. The food was so gross and the portions were tiny! The service was really bad. We asked the order taker to cancel our order after about 40 minutes of waiting and she said it would be right out. It was another 25 minutes and the food was soaking in liquid and smelled bad. We asked for a refund and was told they couldn't do that because their manager wasn't there. No apologies. Unbelievable mistake! We think they will be closed very soon. read more

The Merrimack location is closed recently if that is an indication of where they are going... The Hooksett is in an excellent business location and they are still failing. The service is very slow. The food is ok. The prices are through the roof! I can't afford what they charge for a burger. I can go down the street to a chain location and get a much better burger at 2/3'rds of the price! Food is fantastic with a unique spin on bbq! They do a great job smoking the meat and their bbq sauces are tasty. I enjoy how they provide some healthier sides like rice/beans and grilled veggies. Their version of nachos the supreme smashers is amazing. read more

Yet another seriously disappointing attempt at a BBQ restaurant in New Hampshire. I have lived a third of my life in the south and central states where world class BBQ is made and calling this a disappointment seems too kind. I have even been to Australia where BBQ is an obsession. Smoke is an important part of BBQ, but their pulled pork tasted more like they had cleaned the inside of the pit with the pork. If a BBQ joint can't make pulled pork, there is something wrong. The brisket was 3/4 fat, as if nobody bothered to trim the fat cap before it was cooked. The cornbread was obviously a mix out of a box, and the smashed potatoes were nothing more than bland baked potatoes that looked like they had been dropped on the floor and stepped on before they were served. The only slightly interesting thing in the while meal was the peanut sauce, but it is more at home in a Thai curry like pra ram than on BBQ. Nice try, but don't expect to stay in business long without some major changes, like learning how to make BBQ. All these 5 star reviews are either friends of the owners or are made by people that have never even had mediocre BBQ in their lives. read more

Just grabbed my first lunch from this spot: the pork belly with smashers and grilled veggies. All three were quite tasty and fairly unique in the MHT lunch scene. The staff were nice. Looks like if Covid were not a thing I'd enjoy grabbing a snack and a beer there too. I'm looking forward to trying out more of the menu.
