I've had a gooey Marketplace salad that was not expired, and other items where they just didn't put them in the correct temperature in time. I try not to buy any Walmart brands, but I have to be careful about cold items. I feel for anyone working at Walmart but some of the staff is rude and compel me to want to buy online. Self-checkout staff is okay, though. The store doesn't look bad but go to Northwest Arkansas within an hour of the headquarters and you will be shocked at how good the stores are.

I found what I needed to buy and got some other things. The amazing thing about this store is that it is organized. If you go to Westgate Mall in Saratoga or Great Mall in Milpitas, you'll know what I mean. You'll be lucky to find anything because you have to watch for clothes on the floor. I purchased 16-12 oz carbonated drinks because it was on sale 4 for $9.00 instead of $2.99 each or 4 for $10.99. She asked if I wanted a bag and I said "no" because I brought my own bag. As she was ringing up the 16 - 12 oz cans, she DID NOT put them in my bag nor did she ask for my bag so she could put them in as she rang them up. As I watched her place them back on another part of the check-out stand, I repeatedly (3x's) asked her to please place the cans in the bag for me. Her response? "THAT IS NOT PART OF HER JOB"!!!!!! I was so affronted by her attitude, especially to a senior with arthritic thumbs. I might as well have gone to Food Maxx or Food For Less or even Winco!!! Needless to say, she didn't help me bag the 16 cans. Later, around 4:00 pm, I called the Manteca Target store and asked for the Manager. I spoke with Mayra, who identified herself as the manager. She sounded appalled at what happened. She promised me she would take care of the rude service from Laura. Let's see if she does take care of what happened or she was just placating me. I wandered in, and tried on about 6 pairs before I found some I liked. The fitting room experience was easy, but they weren't well monitored as they were full of clothing others had left behind. Apart from that, the store seemed organized fairly well. I also did a return a few days later, which went quick and smooth. As I checked out, the staff member at the register scanned a coupon for me, discounting over $20 off my jeans that I didn't anticipate. That was a nice surprise! They had remodeled since my last visit here (like I said, many years ago) and it felt like a TJ Maxx or Marshall's experience. Random junk to buy in the checkout line, they call your number to a register up front when available.... Anyway. It was an overall nice and easy experience, and I happily found what I needed.
