Brisket - Fantastic. It's a good amount of fat on the meat where it's juicy and not dry. Super flavorful, didn't need any sauce and tender. By far my Favorite. Ribs - Great. It has good texture and flavor and I enjoyed it. Smoked wings - Smoked and cooked to perfection. The sauce they toss it in is what made it unique too. Mac n' cheese and baked beans were good too! If I recall, I believe the beans had brisket pieces in it too. Service was great. The cashier and owner himself were Super friendly and nice. Whenever I'm in the mood for barbeque, I would genuinely come back to support this place. I rather here than go support a terrible chain bbq place. This hidden gem is located in an apartment building near downtown Cape Coral. Free street parking but also free public parking next to the Dollar Tree located across the street. read more

Went to the Cape Coral location today and ordered Turkey, Sausage, and Smoked Wings. The turkey was good and had nice smoke but it was a little dry. The Sausage was excellent. The Smoked Wings were big and cooked perfectly and were still very moist, but they lacked the smoke that I was looking forward to. We also had the coleslaw and potato salad which were both good. Th coleslaw was not too saucy like some places make it and it was perfect for us. Unfortunately for a price of $27.99 the two meat plate was a little small. If the wings had more smoke I would have given it four stars. We will give it another try and if the wings are smoked better I will raise my rating. read more

Went to location in cape been there several times . Visited today and it wasn't good got 2 brisket platters and hardly any meat and mostly fat . When the older guy is wrking food was good today a girl was wrking and worst I've ever had . 3 tiny pieces and not meat on them . Definitely won't go back for awhile and always have to ask for the dinner roll for the platter . For 25 bucks no worth it .. read more

A little extra effort until they get things streamlined but it's worth it! The food is so good! I recommend the brisket and the mac and cheese! We were just in Houston/San Antonio a couple of months ago and had Texas BBQ. Big Nick's is right up there and would hold their own against any Texas BBQ!! The baked beans were the best we have had. Potato salad was excellent. Pulled pork and brisket were very tasty and tender. (Brisket was a bit dry but not too much). They were sold out of the brisket Mac 'n cheese and ribs. Ribs tender, not full of fat, brisket is flavorful and really doesn't even need sauce, but if you like sweet like me - their sauce rules. Better than Mission BBQ by a long mile! Waffle fries are crisp and don't go soft on you by the time you get home! And the beans- are thick,juicy, meaty and delicious. Go here thru the drive thru for a take home option. Very flavorful and done well. The ribs still had a hint of fight left in them (not so over cooked they drop off the bone). I woukd like a smoky sauce with some heat, but that is me. We had most of the sides, all were very tasty and well prepared. The concensus was that a baked potato would be a good addition and a baked sweet potato would be a great addition. My first time here. It's carry out only. There were cones blocking some of the parking spaces. I thought that was odd. I parked and walked up to the walk up window. I decided on the two meat combo. Brisket, turkey with two sides and a roll. I chose cole slaw and fried okra. After a short wait I got my food. Well, most of my food. There was no cole slaw. I had to go back to get that. The cole slaw was good. The fried okra wasn't. I was told it was popular but I find that hard to believe. The turkey and brisket were both very smoky. Other than that, the turkey wasn't too great. The brisket was good. I got half sweet tea and unsweetened tea. I asked for only a little ice. That was ignored. There was mostly ice in the drink. Very disappointing. The combo and the icy drink ran me 25 bucks. Considering the portion and quality, I don't think it was a great value. Maybe the other entrees are better. Maybe I chose the wrong combo. We love good BBQ so we decided to check out Big Nick's in Fort Myers for lunch the other day. There is no interior seating but you can drive through or walk up to the window to order. The lack of interior seating may be the only knock on this place. We know if we're reviewing a place, we should each get something different, however as JD put it, "a BBQ restaurant should be able to do pulled pork correctly." With that in mind, we both ended up with the same thing. Pulled pork platter with baked beans and their brisket mac and cheese and a sweet tea. We would consider the serving size to be ample, especially when coupled with the sides and the small dinner roll. The dry rubbed pork comes unsauced with your choice of sauce on the side. Options include Memphis Sweet, Western Carolina, and a South Carolina sauce. We I went with the sweet. The pork has a nice, pink smoke ring and good moisture. Sometimes pork can either be too dry or too wet, and this was right where it needed to be. There was a great depth of flavor with the pork, which is sometimes hard to achieve in BBQ, explaining why sauce is sometimes needed at other restaurants. But that's not the case at Big Nick's. The pork could very easily be enjoyed with no sauce. The baked beans were a nice blend of various beans in a sweet (but not overly sweet) sauce and infused with some smoked meat deliciousness and onions. When eating the beans, we both commented on how Big Nick's does not lack flavor. They don't shy away from making sure you're getting a flavorful punch in every bite! For our money, We'd much rather have more flavor than less. We don't want boring food and there's no chance of that here. The white cheddar brisket mac and cheese definitely has a lot of flavor, but it might go a bit overboard on the pepper. While we enjoyed the creaminess of the mac and cheese blended with the smokiness of the brisket, we couldn't help but think that many will find the pepper overwhelming to the other fantastic flavors. Of course, some of that will come down to personal preference as we still found it to be delicious. As we were packing up our trash after having eaten under the tailgate of JD's car, one of the staff came out to take the trash for us and asked us how everything was. We told him it was great and our only regret was not getting a piece of peanut butter pie to try. A moment later, he came out with a slice for us to try. If you like chocolate & peanut butter, this is a must! With the Oreo crumb crust, whipped peanut butter mousse-like filling, and topped with thick chocolate, it may be a reason to stop in all on its own. The mid-week lunch with tip was a little pricey when compared to fast food. Keep in mind the BBQ industry is getting slammed with meat prices, so go expecting to pay a little more if you're eating lunch. But, in our opinion, it's definitely worth it and we'll be back soon! read more

Got my food and went on my way, then I received a call 8mins later after pickup telling me that I forgot a bag with an order. Who has the audacity to place blame on a customer for their mistake. Man up and acknowledge your fault. Clearly there is disfunction here. I am a customer that takes first impressions and customer service seriously and this establishment did not provide a quality service one would expect. For the amount of food given the price was outrageous. We will start with the chicken tenders for my 8 yr old. They were absolutely terrible, no flavor and tasted like burnt oil. He did enjoy the waffle fries, and hush puppies. My husband got the burnt ends platter, he did say they had great flavor but the amount was very minimal and 1/4 of them were just solid pieces of fat. I got the pork platter with coleslaw and waffle fries. The Pulled pork had great flavor and was tender and juicy, and is the sole reason this review has 3 stars. The coleslaw tasted a little sour, and the pint of fried okra we got to share was raw and undercooked. Yuck!!! The ranch was good as well as the western Carolina bbq sauce. So stick with the pulled pork, waffle fries and hush puppies. And do not forget to bring your wallet. read more

This is a drive thru / pick-up restaurant. Had the brisket and ribs both were good, but The ribs could have more meat though. Next time I would pick a different meat over the ribs because of this. I got the dirty fries which I thought was a decent portion and they packed beans a coke slaw separately which is nice. The service was good and the order was correct. I was nervous to try this place as I am from Kansas City and know good BBQ, but it exceeded my expectations! I got the pulled pork and it was perfect! The pork was the most flavorful BBQ I have ever eaten. I got the waffle fries and brisket Mac and cheese as sides. The waffle fries were cooked perfectly, super crispy! I'd recommend getting a cup of ranch to dip them in, the ranch is homemade and delicious! The Mac and cheese was good too! The portions are kind of small, but what they lack in size, they make up for in flavor! I also ordered a piece of the peanut butter pie, and sweet tea!
