A bonus is free wheel alignment at this location. An estimate of service prices is given up front and there is plenty of seating to wait for your car to be ready. Prices are reasonable as well as wait time estimates. This time, I witnessed a very heated customer coming in asking questions about types of fluid they had because her Cadillac XTS had to have a specific kind and she didn't want anyone messing up her car. Had an appointment at 1pm for an oil change and a tire rotation. I proceeded to watch my car be unmoved for 30 minutes. I kindly asked a worker if they had a time estimate as I had another appointment for a different car at 3pm. The guy seemed so annoyed that I even talked to him at all, said he'd go as the mechs. He never gave me a time estimate, just ignored me. So, I patiently wait until 2pm, seeing that my car still hasn't moved from where I parked it. I ended up asking a different worker if I could get my keys back and leave. He was much nicer and helpful than the other guy. ONLY THEN DID THEY MOVE MY CAR. An hour after the appointment and a request for the keys back and they finally decided to start working on my car. 30 minutes later they were done. Second guy apologized and told me they gave me a discount but didn't tell me how much it was the original total was. I'm never going back. read more

I went to Big O for a tire change, employees very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. My car was finished in a timely manner, which I appreciated. However, I was disappointed by how the owner treated his employees. While an employee was actively changing my tire, I watched and heard the owner yell at him for "not working." This was uncomfortable to witness, especially because the employee was clearly doing his job. Unfortunately, this was not the first time I have seen this kind of behavior at this location. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS LOCATION!! We took my sons 2002 Altima to this location on Hampden to have a new radiator, hoses and water pump replaced. When they returned the car to us (charged us $1500), the car was leaking transmission and radiator fluid. THE CAR WAS NEVER LEAKING BEFORE WE TOOK THE CAR IN THE FIRST TIME!! We took the car back to have them fix the issue that was caused after they worked on the car. After couple of days, I called to get the status and they explained that the mechanic that worked on the vehicle had some issues with fixing the leak. They said that the leak was coming from the timing chain cover because the mechanic had snapped a couple of bolts when replacing the water pump and that they will put JB Weld on it the fix the leak. After a few days of getting the car back from them after a second time, the car was still leaking and having alternator issues. We then took it back to them a third time and they kept the car for a week. During that time, they told us that the timing chain cover was cracked and that they needed to find one to replace it. They never said that it would cost extra for this (due to the fault of the mechanic). When we went to pick the car up for a third time, they charged us $745, on top of the $1,500 that we already paid the first time we brought the car in. While at the location, I became very upset because we had to pay an extra $745 for something that they broke. I exchanged words with the service person and the 'so called' manager. My wife ended up paying the $745 just to get the car back. DO NOT TAKE YOU VEHICLE TO THIS LOCATION!! THEY DO NOT HAVE SKILLED, EXPERIANCED TECHNICIANS AND THE MANAGER IS A CLOWN AND RUDE!! THEY WILL CHARGE YOU AT LEAST $1000 MINIMUM FOR REPAIRS!! THEY ARE IN IT FOR THE SALES NOT THE SERVICE!! read more

Over the last 16 years I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars at this Big O location, and in all that time I had no idea, and was never informed, that Big O offered a veteran discount. I had two tires installed on my wife's car this afternoon by appointment - almost $500 - and I got it back two hours later. When I returned home the wife told me that she had discovered a veteran's discount on the website. I returned to the store less than an hour later and asked to receive the discount - the manager (owner, I believe) said he would call me later. That call never came, and I now realize that he totally gave me the brush-off. I feel that this Big O is doing everything it can to avoid giving any discount - I'm also a senior citizen and feel that I've been cheated and disrespected. Brought my Mercedes Benz here (Hampden and Tower) for a simple back tire issue that I needed fixed ( a free service to pull a nail out). All was good and they said it would be finished today just give them 3-4 hours. This was at 12pm. I waited and waited to be notified my car was done being worked on and was ready for pickup. After 4 hours passed 4pm came around and I arrived at the store to see it all locked up and closed, amongst my Mercedes Benz still sitting in the parking lot untouched ( still has the nail) and the worst part- UNLOCKED. They failed to notify me of this, and now I am stuck. I can't move my car or take it anywhere and they are closed on Sundays. So they have left me with no option but to tow my car so I don't get it stolen in the middle of the night. I will never come here again- so unprofessional and inconsiderate. The manager eventually showed up as we accidentally set an alarm off trying to see if anyone would come get the door, and he was unapologetic and shoved papers In my face acting very egotistical and assured me I was the one in the wrong for not showing up before they closed. Even though I waited in the parking lot an hour before closing time WAITING to be notified my car was ready- like they promised they would. I get inside my car after complaining to this man who dismissed me and didn't even apologize for the stress and inconvenience of this all- just to find that my car was never even worked on or fixed- nothing was done- my tire pressure was in fact HALF the air pressure it was at when I brought it in- leaving me an even bigger car issue. They left my car out in the ghetto inconsiderately and didn't even notify me of that. Horrible business and terrible customer service- the manager should be fired for lack of attention to detail and the employees are fraudulent!! Came in for an alignment since it seemed time. Clint said they could have their machine ready in an hour so I ran errands and came back. Brought some studying and waited for my car. It needed some tweaking so I agreed. However it seems my tire rods in the rear are stuck so they couldn't do anything. Updating my review, based off the couple times I have visited here. My tire pressure light turned on right after my visit and when I checked the psi, it was too high. The first time I came here, my tire light came on and it was again too high. It seems like they don't use any measuring system to fill tires with air and is a hassle to go fix their carelessness. read more

Came in for new tires, oil change and tire sensor. Upon picking up my truck, the check engine light was on. I had no oil pressure and no oil on the dipstick. The truck was left in the garage and the shop put in an oil sensor, with no results. Big O paid for the truck to be towed to a Ford dealer since they didn't know what was wrong. The Ford dealer says it needs a new engine. I have been in contact with Big O, with no response as of now. read more

11/21/2024 I took my car to BigO store #6216, Tower Rd and Hampden Ave. I asked for an oil change, and to find what grinding noise was when braking. After 45 minutes, technician said oil change is done. I asked what grinding noise is. Technician said it is bad brake pads; must change pads and rotors; cost at least $100 per rotor, plus pads and misc. I brought the car home removed the wheels, calipers, pads. All was in great shape. I am 77 years old and must look like an easy mark. Do not trust BigO Tires. read more

I bought tires here just over two years ago, 75k warranty-- just called because the tires have worn bald in less than 20k miles. The tech is telling me they won't be warrantied unless I can prove that, I got tire rotations at every oil change as well as alignments every six months WHY ARE THE TIRES WARRANTIED FOR 75K MILES IF THEY ARE DEFECTIVE AFTER 20K?!? Took 2001 Jeep in for service. Experiencing the "death wobble" they were repairing and replacing items but the items they were replacing were not installed correctly causing safety issues. The owners son, store manager is extremely condescending and unwilling to accept responsibility for their poor quality work. I repeatedly requested a call back from the owner but the store manager Joseph (Joey) refused to put me In contact with him. The service team was not only given visible communication but verbal of what needed to be fixed and replaced. Their solution was to keep buckle and dimming for more repairs. Seriously rude My kids car keeps getting a flat in the rear driver side tire so I took it in and ask them to inspect the rim and then replace the tire. They replaced the tire but didn't inspect the rim and treated me like a complete inconvenience and bother for asking questions. Missing lugnuts, Car left for new tires. They called and stated that 2 of the locking nuts were missing, that morning they were both there. I did not note until the following day, the invoice said they gave us 2 lug nuts at no charge, and low and behold they could not even get that correct they never replaced the lug nuts they lost even with regular ones I had to put new ones on Sunday morning. Contacted the store and all they said was to bad that is the way it came to us. I hope 70.00 locking lug nuts was worth a 15+ year customer. I would do nothing with this store. I stopped taking my wife's car there for oil changes as well since every time it had a leak afterwards, and all they did was try and sealant to the drain plug. read more

I brought my car back to the big O tires to get a realignment. As I hit a pothole on iliff ave. This thing was large and no way to avoid it. The manager of the store which was reluctant to give me his name told me midway through that it was way out and then I had a brake light out. I asked him if it would be much longer his response was "will come get you". Umm ok. My understanding is the technicians test all of the cars to make sure that I drive straight. Now my car is not stock. And they know This. As I was sitting in the lobby there was a door that was open and I heard my car accelerate to the point where it sputtered because he hit the rev limiter. I get up from my seat and asked the manager why your tech think s it's ok to drive my car like that. His response was "my techs don't do that". I replied he certainly did do that, I heard my car. This went on for a few moments me saying he did, the manager telling me he didn't. How would he know what my car sounds like. Him saying that his technicians never do that. Lying directly to my face. Now It's hard to argue with managers when they think they're right. It just is. And techs never do things in customers cars. RIGHT. We've all seen videos on Facebook and YouTube of technicians stomping on some hellcat, or STI when they didn't pay attention, and inside was a Dash cam it was pointed at the driver. I know what my car sounds like I've owned it for over 10 years. And I know when somebody stomps on the gas. What makes me so frustrated about it is is that he couldn't admit that a technician did something wrong. And apologize for it. I get standing by your business and trying to be an upstanding person, but don't lie to a customer when they're standing there asking you why somebody did some thing like that. It's just not ok. Not with all this happening and you can clearly tell that the manager was upset and he wanted me to leave the store. With no resolve I told him that I should just take my business elsewhere. More so as a suggestion to see if you would try to recoup my business and he said "good I'm glad you're going to do that". WOW I'm sorry your tech is the one that was doing things that were inappropriate and I'm choosing to leave your business and that's the response I get. I'm truly saddened for people like him. I had to ask for my paper work to see what was out on the alignment. It was crumpled up and thrown in the trash. That also goes to show you that I was not a great concern. Whoever this manager is definitely needs to come off his pedestal or what ever he is on. just acknowledge normal people when somebody does something wrong. you just go" i'm sorry that that happened let me see what I can do to fix it". I'm not asking for the world. Or anything for that matter. JUST RESPECT. As I was walking out. I stopped to talk to Jake. Jake was the technician that did the alignment the first time and he was the technician that did it the second time. Ie today. He swore profusely that he did not accelerate past a specific point in my car when I asked him. Why do people feel that they have to lie why can't they just go " I did I'm sorry I'll do my best to never let it happen again". Or something to that effect. Called ahead with a request to mount 4 tires and wheels that i already possessed. I explained i needed TPMS sensors and i asked for the charge to get TPMS sensors and wheels put on. I was quoted $25 a wheel. I drove down. When i showed up, they first tried to tell me how bad my tires were (which have 11/32nds of tread). When i was not interested in getting new tires i was told they told me $25 to mount and program + $79 each sensor. For reference, discount tire charges $37 for the same sensor. read more

Beware of their service department not completing the services. I took my wife's car in for a tire rotation and oil change this past Saturday. I was told it would be done around 3 or 4 pm. After not hearing from them, I called in to check on the status at 5:30 I was told the car was ready, but they were not sure why I was not called. I pick up the car assuming everything was fine. Knowing that I was going to have to replace the tires, I went to check the tire size and noticed the tires were not rotated, so that made me wonder if the oil was changed. I popped the hood and low and behold, dirty oil. They didn't perform any of the services they said they did. I called on Monday and talked to the manager, he didn't believe me and said he would have to check the video. He calls me back after realizing that my car never made into the shop. The worst part about the situation is I would have been understanding of they had just told me they were too busy and couldn't get to it. Instead, They went out if their way to move my car from the spot I left it in, pulled my old oil change sticker from my windshield and thought that I wouldn't know the difference. If you go to this location and they are busy, leave immediately, chances are this will happen to you. I'm sure this is not the first time it has happened. I did get my money back, but the damage was done, they out their profits ahead of their reputation. read more

This particular store (Hampden and Tower) has the added bonus of Nate! He is a perfect example of how people should interact with valuable customers! He gives very sound advice even if it means the store doesn't make extra money. He never tells you something is needed, when in fact, it isn't.
