The most thorough service I have received in the years we have used them. Found them by being towed in by AAA 5 or so years ago soon after we moved here. Their services are guaranteed for 5 years or 50,000 miles across the country. And they don't talk down to older people or ladies or someone who is both. Absolutely do not use Keller's if you have an alternative. I used to go to Keller's for convenience but after serval times listening to Nate absolutely lie to people and escalate an average repair to several times higher in unnecessary add ons, I have decided hot to return. The final act for me was to witness a customer leave a new purchased car and ask that it be given a checkout by Nate. That sat directly in my line of site while I waited for what thought was an over-priced brake job, no one went near that car. not one person ever touched it. After a few hours Nate called that customer back and told him that he wouldn't let his wife's mother drive that car. The entire front end was shot and needed replacement before he would feel comfortable declaring it safe to drive. Again I will reiterate, Nate never drove the car despite telling the customer that it was making nocking sounds and very unsafe to drive. The real problem Keller's is whoever owns them obviously cares more about selling as many service upgrades as possible than they do about their reputation. Pretty much can do almost everything here except transmission work! Place usually super busy but they get cars out quickly. If they don't find a problem with your car they are not gonna charge you for it. They are honest good quality mechanics here that don't charge dealership prices! Well, apparently I was too quick in giving Kellers five stars. The last two times we've called ahead Nate has quoted one price over the phone then told us later that the price is $100 higher for the exact same service. The first time I though I just misheard him when he quoted a check engine diagnosis at $29.99 and the price changed to $129.99 when I went to pick up my car. But today we both heard him say the price for a spark plug check was $54.99, which my partner confirmed and he repeated to us. He then called me a few hours later and said it was $154.99. I've also told them several times that I'm just trying to see what cheap fixes I can try to get my car to pass emissions before I give up on it and get a new car but they keep trying to sell me a $2000 catalytic converter replacement even after I told them the car is not worth doing that. They never bothered to tell me that cars over 11 years older don't auto-fail emissions for having a check engine light on, either. Had to find that out from my mothers mechanic, later confirmed on the emissions website. They it made it seem like it was necessary. On top of all that, they didn't change my air filter, nor did they make a any apologies or attempt to rectify the situation when I picked up my car despite this clearly being on the work order they printed out for me. Bottom line, it looks like Kellers is now willing to give up the years of our business on two vehicles over a couple hundred dollars. I don't know if there has been a change in management or what but this is no longer the customer friendly and honest business it used to be. I'll miss the $10 oil changes, but I just don't trust these guys anymore. read more

My co-workers recommended Keller when my car started having a problem. I was so used to taking it to the dealership and having their service people talk down to me, like I didn't know what was wrong. I took my car to Keller and was treated with respect, they listened to what I said and after their inspection we found the source of the noise. Keller's is only good for 2 things: cheap oil changes and ripping you off. I first went into keller's on 1/15/15 for a simple oil change and fluid top off. $23 later I have a fresh oil change and they proceed to tell me everything I know is wrong with the car. The serpentine belt is bad and squealing (as I hadn't noticed from driving it everyday), I have a oil leak (it's a 22 year old car what do you expect), and I need various fluid changes blah blah blah. Come today 1/23/15 the squealing from the belt has gotten worse so I take in my car to diagnose where the squealing noise is coming from. I suspected from the ac pulley but I wanted to make sure. $54 diagnostic charge (outrageous for the 10 minutes it took them to figure it out) later they confirm my suspicion and tell me it's a loose bearing the the pulley and my drive belt is cracked. (My suspicion is later wrong as you will see if you keep reading) The guy at the desk (Miguel I think but not sure) tells me I have 2 options: replace the entire ac system at a cost of $1500 (which is the same price I bought the ENTIRE car for) or put a bypass pulley on for $500. At first he tries to tell me that the only fix is the first choice. After some prodding he brings up the second option. I try to tell him that you can also just replace the pulley bearing as I had done just a few months ago. The bearing only costs like $30 and takes a few minutes to put in. It seems to blow right over his head as he keeps trying to push me to get the whole ac system redone. I tell him there's no way I'm doing that since the car costs that much. I tell him to just ring me up and give me the car back After I left I looked up the prices for the parts on the estimates and it's highway robbery what they are charging. The new serpentine belt on the estimate was $71 while at O'Reillys it costs $24. And the bypass pulley was estimated at $113 while at O'Reillys it cost $44. At least 200% markup. In the end I decide to head over to O'Reillys buy a new $24 belt and take the 2 minutes to install it. I start up the car and the car has stopped squealing. The fellows at keller's tried to charge me $1500 for a while new ac system when the problem was a $24 belt. I give only one star because of the cheap and quick oil changes. I will never go back again to get any real work done on my car. If you must go in do your research and know what they are telling you is probably wrong or very overpriced. read more

I brought Keller's my newly purchased used car to diagnose the check engine light and the engine fan that continuously ran every time the car was turned off. My first impression was they give off the attitude that the customer is bothering them right from the beginning, even my teen daughter mentioned it. I paid $600 to have the car fixed, but when I got in to pick it up the check engine light was still on and the engine fan was still running when I turned it off. I went right back in and told them it was still doing the exact same thing. They looked at it again and said that the check engine light just needed to be reset. They gave me the car back with the engine running and I drove the car straight to the emissions testing center. It stalled in the car line and wouldn't stay running at all. I called Keller's to let them know, and they asked if I could get the car back to them in the morning. Obviously not, since it wouldn't stay running and I was 10 miles away. Thankfully there was a garage next to the emissions center and a mechanic came over and helped me and my daughter push the car over to their garage. Keller's did say to bring the receipts from the second garage and they would see what they could do. The second garage fixed the issue, which cost me another $600, but I passed emissions and it has been running great since. I went back to Keller's with the receipts. They said the manager would take a look and give me a call the next morning. It was five days and three calls on my part to get ahold of Nate. In my opinion he's a good salesman that talks circles around people to get his way. He kept saying that it was a coincidence the car broke down because the second garage had to replace different parts, even though it was the same system, and the car still had the same problem when I picked it up from them. He said the fan stayed on because the check engine light wasn't reset and it takes starting it a few times for the reset to kick in. Of course I don't know enough about cars to properly counter his arguments, but I trust my gut. It doesn't make sense that the check engine light can control the engine. I called the second garage again to ask about it and they said no. Nate said it is their word against his and insists that Keller's fixed everything they should have except for the running fan and can only offer a partial refund. Seeing as how the second garage actually fixed the problem I went to Keller's for, I believe them. But, I have to accept Keller's decision and can only judge their level of customer service based on what they are willing to do under these circumstances. The final result was Keller's refunded me $225 which is much better than nothing, but not enough to give me confidence in their integrity, especially considering all the other negative Yelp reviews they have. My car battery light was on so I called AAA and get a battery test. The test says my battery needs to replaced so I have my car towed to Keller's 2 days gone by and they tell me they can't find anything wrong with my car. Mind you the battery test said it was bad I tell them about my battery problems then they replace the battery. I paid 194 for a battery which is not bad but 6 hours after I pick my car up from Keller's my battery light comes on and my car dies again. So I have the car towed back to the shop then they say my alternator is bad which is brand new I replaced it last month and under warranty from Orielly's. He says they only work with their parts so can't use my warranty to get another alternator I have to buy one from him. read more

A couple years ago, I found that the power steering pump had gone out in my Blazer. To avoiding asking dad & lil bro to come take a look, I paid for a tow to Keller's and the $80 for an inspection. I was called and told that I had debris in the pump as well as the tubing & repair cost would be $1,200. I said hell no, paid for the tow back & gave into asking family for help. Low & behold, the whole thing cost us $60 for the pump when the only problem was that a plastic O-ring had ripped causing the leak AND, NO debris in anything. If they had truly check it out, I'd assume they'd been able to tell me they had no clue, and NOT BS me about debris. I came here for the same vehicle not too long before, and had a head gasket replaced to the pretty tune of $1,400 - it was being paid for by a family member & I was kind of out of the loop, otherwise I would have also said HELL NO to that too. The serpetine belt pin just happened to break on its own during the repair, so the new pin, new belt & labor for that repair was tacked onto the bill. After the repair. my truck would smoke coolant BAD after long and/or hot driving. Not steam - smoke. When I brought it back in immediately after one day of bad smoking, they didn't have an answer, but would inspect for another $80. LOL, no thanks. This place used to be on 6th & Peoria, and I'm assuming was under another management because it was where the family brought their cars & had no complaints. I'm a chick, but not a dummy when it comes to cars, & these dudes talked to and treated me like I was some kind of idiot. They over charged, did unecessary work & tried to BS for more $$$$. I have went to Keller's on several occasions and always leave happy. Aside from a quick oil change when you make an appointment, I had to have my radiator and thermostat replaced. Other shops quoted me almost 1,000 where as Keller's kept it around 678 with parts and labor. I went for an oil change today, 3/8. I made an appt and was quoted 30 mins. I came back within that time and they discovered there was a faulty I ring so I had to wait about an additional 25 mins while they replaced the filter again. I didn't make a fuss or complain and when my car was finished they had comped the oil change, absolutely free, no questions asked. They are the epitome of great customer service! read more

I found Keller's Pro Auto and Diesel on Tom Martino's referral list. I wanted to find an honest repair shop that can handle the finicky nature of BMW problems and not rip me off or treat me like a dumb girl. I brought my late model BMW to them for a coolant leak. The repairs seemed pricey, but I did my homework and found out that they were just slightly higher than it should have been. I even asked them about it and they said, they're not the cheapest shop, but their work is quality. When I got my car back, I could smell antifreeze when driving it to school the next day. On my way home, "check coolant level" even popped up on the computer screen. I brought it back to Keller's the very next morning. They put my car up on the lift immediately and did not make me wait long before they found that a hose clamp that was probably as old as the car had come loose. They replaced it at no charge and topped off my radiator. I manage a fleet of tow trucks. I noticed that Keller's also works on diesel engines. I talked to them about working on my fleet and they put my company on their fleet program which offers some great discounts! I've since had my Ford F650 flatbed tow truck in their shop for repairs. The communication and customer service was wonderful and the truck seems to be running fine (aside for one problem that no shop has been able to fix, but I'm starting to think that it's just because it's a Ford and it's a piece of junk). Just last week, I brought my BMW back for a transmission leak. I had it back the very next day and my car is driving great! I have worked with both Shawn and Mel at this location and both are friendly, punctual and easy to work with. I did not give Keller's five stars due to the fact that I did catch them charging me extra labor on the coolant leak and they are more expensive than others. I was also irritated over the broken hose clamp that I think they should have caught during the initial repair. At least they rectified the situation and took care of it quickly. Overall, a strong four stars. Reliable, friendly, quality repair work combined with a 5 year, 50,000 mile warranty. I think I've finally found a mechanic I can take my car troubles to that won't completely rip me off or treat me like a dumb girl that doesn't understand cars. Thank you Keller's! They do cost a bit more. I just found that they abide by their warranty on work done . Their work was not at fault but my Motor mounts. Instead of a bill of about $1000 I was completely covered. I'll be back! read more

I have had some untimely car issues, as we all do! Nate has been super and I'd recommend their services.

My son took his car in for an oil change. He parks in our driveway and I started noticing big oil spots on the driveway. He took it back in to Keller's and they told him it was just oil from under the car from the oil change hitting a lip of metal. well something like that may last a couple days or so. after 3 weeks of leaking oil he took it to brakes plus to get a brake job done and they informed my son that the seal on the oil drain plug had been broken. Please do not take your car to Keller's the employees lie and they talk about customers behind their back. I know this because my Wife heard them when she was there for an oil change. read more

We have been bringing our car here for over three years to get oil changes. Then one day our car overheats. It was here for a week and we paid them $2400 to fix it. 2 months go by car is overheating again. We were told the hoses needed to be changed but, only one was under warranty and it would cost another 1000. We let them replace the one hose under warranty. Weird that the one hose they replaced was the one with the problem. Will not go back. They totally ripped us off. Beware! read more

I have continued to bring all 3 of my cars here, but the guys at the front desk have definitely left me feeling like I need better customer service. They continue to chat with each other when waiting on me, seem annoyed when I don't know every detail about my vehicle (um...not my profession) and have an air of irritation while helping me. While they are still fast and I don't have any problems with the services they provide, Midas advertises a $19.99 oil change with a 17 point check. I might start going there instead and see if they treat their customers with more respect read more

These guys are garbage. They charged me about $180 to "diagnose" why my truck wouldn't start. Their "mechanic" said that I wasn't getting any oil to my engine and that he could fix some things for about 6 grand, but he didn't think it would solve the problem. He thinks I needed a whole new engine. So whoever their office guy is gives me some paperwork giving me a quote to replace the engine in my truck for 20 grand. Twenty freaking grand. That was the only paperwork I got was a quote for 20 grand. No paperwork about what they actually diagnosed, or looked at. I won't even mention how I caught their mechanic in the parking lot cursing and whining about my truck having an interlock in it. So I got it towed to a dealership and they looked at it. They told me I didn't need a whole new engine and fixed my truck. It's been a month since these jerk offs tried to get me to pay 20 grand for a whole new engine (the truck is only worth 22 grand) and my truck is running fine. They were clearly wrong on their "diagnosis", and when I tried to get my 180 bucks back because they obviously didn't diagnose my truck correctly, they refuse to refund any of my money. read more

Wow, what a rip off. I spent just under $3,000 here for absolutely nothing. My trucks front wheel was loose and it snapped the bolts on the hub. They put in new hub, rotor, bearings etc, on both sides. Well they had them to tight so they burned up within a week. Also I had a tranny fluid leak from somewhere. They said it was the pan gasket so they changed that ( still leaks ). Brought it home that day, went to go to work the next day and had a HUGE puddle of tranny fluid outside my truck. Took it back and said my truck is running bad and told them the symptoms. They told me it needed a tune up and a kick down cable and gasket. My truck still had the same issues so I took it somewhere else and low and behold, they never replaced the cable and the tune up was unnecessary. I took all the new info back to Kellers today, Nate and the counter guys were both so Nasty and unwilling to do anything to help. Made some extremely concerning remarks like " are your wheels falling off or what", " I'm not refunding anything unless you bring me the truck" and when asked for a # to call whoever is in charge of Nate he said " I'm the only one your talking to and that's it' They will hear from my attorney...... Came in for the $9.99 oil change special (Valpak) a couple years back. Mechanic work was good. No issues with my car after the service, but I only had an oil change and brake fluid change. However, I need to comment on the guys out front; they will kill this business - rude and unprofessional. You know those people who always think that the customer is right...well, these guys were 180 degrees opposite in their attitude. They do know that the $9.99 is to get customers into the shop for future business, no? A "try us out" gimmick, if you will. Don't look down on me and treat me with disregard just because I want a cheap oil change - you're the one offering. Well, I won't - not anymore. Once was enough. And why did I feel as though I was getting upsold on additional service? I walked in for the $9.99 without an appointment to the Parker location and got a rude welcome of how I could not (they would not) without an appointment. So I left and decided to go to the Aurora shop instead. Well, a few weeks later, I was 15 minutes late to the Aurora appointment and got a nasty lecture and had to leave the car. I got the call that I needed new brake fluid and a tranny power flush. Proceeded to call Mile High Honda and was told that they do NOT recommend a power flush. Okay, makes sense as loose metal can screw things up; well this did not make sense to Keller's; they questioned the dealer. Really? Needless to say, I was grateful that I only got the oil and brake fluid change. Overall, 3 stars for work done. -1 star for front guys. Do they purposely hire guys like this at both locations? If so, then this attitude comes FROM THE TOP. Know what? Not all mechanics are rude and unapproachable, and treat the general public as automotive-morons. My rule of thumb is...your service manager is the one who hires and oversees the workers. If they are rude and condescending to the customers, how are they treating the workers? This place is a real rip-off! The Manager, Mel, is argumentative. Their parts and labor are way overpriced, and they can't get you in for an oil change for at least a week. I could care less that this place was recommended by Tom Martino. We have an existing credit at this place just for oil changes from a previous terrible experience, and as soon as our credit runs out, we're done with this place. I brought in my old Focus that suddenly began running roughly and was given an estimate of 800$ to clean out "clogged injectors".I told them I could not afford that and returned to get my car. I remember them being kinda rude about the whole thing. Definitely not friendly or sympathetic to my plight. Long story short, it turned out to be a missing vacuum plug (.50 cents). Car runs fine. Left my car at the Centennial Location after being told they would be able to "squeeze me in" to their afternoon schedule. When I arrived I was greeted by to technicians that were both eating at the front desk. The guy that helped me was pleasant and at least moved his food to the side. The other guy couldn't take his eyes off of his computer long enough to answer a question from his coworker. I was told that the diagnostics on the car would be about 1/2 hour and they would call me. I waited about 1 1/2 hours before calling them back and when they answered i was told they were waiting on a garage bay to open up so they could get the car in to be checked. I was told they would call me in 20 mins to let me know. I waited another 1 1/2 hrs and called them again. This time the guy that answered the phone was the rudest person i have ever spoken with. This gentleman got defensive right away when i asked what was going on. He reprimanded me that when he called me this morning, which actually i called him, that there was no guarantee they could fix the car. I said i understand but i was told that someone would call me twice today and no one has called. when i explained to him that someone told me they would call me in 1/2 hr the first time he said, "no they didn't, we wouldn't do that. I was sitting next to him when you came in" Turns out this is the same guy that was so infatuated with his sandwich he couldn't hardly look at his coworker. I bet he couldn't even describe me if i came back in. I argued with him for a few minutes and simply asked why he had an attitude with me. He would not answer that question and said," i need to know what you are going to do, come pick up the car or leave it." This is our second time coming here and had no problems the first time around. This time was a deal breaker for me. I will never go back to them or any of there other shops. Their customer service was the worst that i have ever encountered. I don't even thing i can trust them looking at my car let alone fixing it. read more

I have only come to this location two times because I got a Groupon, and both times the staff has been super friendly. The work isn't bad, but they are apparently very busy all the time. On 12/10/15 I took my Subaru Outback to get an oil change and an oil leak fixed. They called me the same day to inform me that to fix the leak they would have to replace the valve cover gaskets. It would cost $400(with a coupon). We agreed to pay the amount to fix the leak. On 12/11 I received a call that there was an issue with the bolts. I was told they were stripped because of the leaking oil. My husband went to the shop 12/12 to take discuss this with them. The mechanic he talked to said they had stripped the bolts while putting it back together and the bolts would not thread or torque to the correct specifications. He also informed my husband that he had started working on the control arm because he thought that was also something we wanted worked on (it was recommended to us but we were not wanting that work done at that time). My husband was told that a tech would be in on Monday to assess the damage and come up with a new estimate for the work. My husband told him we would not be paying for the work since it was Keller's mistake in stripping the bolts. On 12/14 my husband received a call with a quote of $1500 which included removing the engine to heli coil the engine so the bolts would thread correctly. We refused to pay that amount and asked to have the car put back together. 12/14 we arrived at the shop to pick up my car. They charged us $400 for the gasket replacement. However, when we questioned why we were paying anything since they caused further damage to which we would have to get fixed somewhere else, we were told they DID NOT strip the bolts and that it was a salvaged engine. We were told it was stripped by someone else. When I informed them that the engine was rebuilt completely when we bought it (4/2012), another mechanic at the front desk became very upset and said his tech told him it was a salvage engine and that is why the bolts were stripped. He said the $400 included replacing the gaskets and assessing the damage. They claimed that "they don't conduct business that way," referring to causing damage to our car and not claiming responsibility. They denied stripping the bolts multiple times and said it was just an "unforseen issue". We ended up paying the $400 since they refused to give our vehicle back without that payment. On the receipt for the work, it is noted that "the valve cover bolts that secure the cover to the cylinder were loose"- loose, not stripped. When they put the bolts back, the bolts would not torque to correct specifications due to the threads in the cylinder head being stripped. So the threads were not stripped when they started the work, and were stripped when they were finished. 12/18 we took the car to the dealership we bought it from in Golden. They said it would be $1155 to fix the stripped bolts. The owner of the dealership called Keller's on this date. Keller's shop owner admitted to stripping the bolts but said there is nothing they can do about it. He also stated nobody at his shop would ever tell a customer oil stripped a bolt and that they would have no way of telling if the engine was new or used. The way they conducted business with us is absolutely unacceptable. read more

After having my vehicle serviced by a recommended professional, problems arose(stuck on the side of the road). I had Keller's take a look at it and in less than a day they found the problem, fixed it and had it running better than ever. All of this at a great low rate. I had moved from California to Colorado, Keller's the nearest shop that did service and had decent prices but service was dishonest and I would never recommend them to a worst enemy. I had a problem with the shocks and they told me there was a problem the ball joint. After spending almost $1000 on the work, the truck was no better and still made a rattling sound. Within 2 months it required the front shocks get replaced again. A year later, my Dodge 2500 had some power and low mileage issues with the attitude change from sea-level to mile-high. They told me that the fuel injector needed to be recalibrated, adjusted and injectors replace with one that are a little larger. After they finished I had 2 MPG less and less torque. Later after researching, Banks had put in a different plate and injectors when they had install the Banks power pack. Kellers tried to tell me Banks didn't know what they were doing and would not do anything to improve what they messed up. This goes to show they are a dishonest and incompetent in my opinion. DO NOT GO TO KELLERS regardless of prices!!!!! read more

Shady business practices, avoid this place. Took my gf's car in to do an oil change and brake inspection. When it was time to pay, the technicians informed me that the rear driver brake pad was at 10% while the other brake pads life was around 60% and this could be due to a caliper issue which would be upwards of a $900 repair. Luckily the car was still under dealership warranty, just took the car to KIA today and their service techs said there was no issues with the calipers and that all brake pads were still around 60% life. I call Keller's back and speak to Miguel and he basically had a pretentious attitude about the whole situation before hanging up on me. These guys are a joke. It all started when I made an appointment about 2.5 or 3 weeks ago to get my diesel truck serviced, it is a 07 2500 dodge 6.7 turbo diesel, I wanted the a fuel system induction service, when I arrived at 9am I was told that they had to talk to the tech "Johnny" to see if he felt comfortable doing the service, which was the first red flag, then he advisor Miguel came back and told me that they did not have a fitting for my truck to do it. So I brought it back in on 11-07-17 to see if they had the fitting and also schedule a turbo charger cleaning along with a DPF cleaning then Miguel told me that they really don't work on diesel vehicles and they still did not have the fitting, and that there is no such thing as a turbo cleaning you just have to replace it, I then told him that that was funny because the dodge dealership could do it and they knew what I was talking about, he then replied why don't you have the dealership do the services then. I feel that Johnny did not want to do the service in the first place and that the advisor had his back on it. They just lost me as a customer unless ownership or management can fix this issue. read more

I wish I could give them no stars. They must have the rudest employees they could find. My truck broke down a couple blocks away from the location on Girard. It took them over a day and an extra $100 charge to determine it was a broken valve spring. Should have been a simple diagnosis for an auto mechanic. They then informed me the repairs could be up to $4500. I asked if they could just repair the spring. I was told they didn't have the tool to remove the spring and would have to try to get the proper tool. How does an auto repair shop not have a valve spring compressor? They ended up waiving the diagnostic charges after telling me they couldn't get the proper tool to replace the spring and I told them there was no way I could send the heads out to be machined. They said they couldn't fix it and they would not do business with me in the future. I really don't care if they don't want my money if they can't do an honest repair at a fair price. Being rude they took hours to put everything back together (because they wouldn't put the parts in a box for the second mechanic shop). I loaded my truck on a tow truck and took it to a mechanic on the other side of town that my family has trusted for over 4 decades. They fixed everything in about the time it took Keller to put a valve cover and sparks plugs back on. The total repair price at the second mechanic was just over $400 and my truck is running better than new. In my previous experience with Keller they took and extra 4 days to repair a power stearing pump because they said it took a special tool for dodge and the tool broke. They couldn't get a replacement tool for days. Both times I was told they had to have a special tool for dodge hemi engines. Really because the second mechanic this time was able to use an ordinary valve spring compressor with no trouble at all.
