Disappointed and frustrated. Sharing this so others can be aware. I found M & N Tire and Auto on Yelp back in January after reading all the positive reviews. I scheduled an appointment for a transmission flush on my Jeep Grand Cherokee. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Check-in, front desk service, and pick-up were all smooth -- no issues there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But about a week after the service, I started noticing a high-pitched humming or whining noise when accelerating on the highway or driving uphill. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called the shop, and to their credit, they got me in quickly to take another look.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They said the transfer case fluid hadn't been changed in a while, was very dirty, and could be the cause. They replaced the fluid at no charge, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the whining came back a few weeks later. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I let it go at first, but eventually called back again. This time they recommended I take it to the dealer, since it might be something internal with the transmission -- and that made sense.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My car isn't new and has about 60K miles, so wear and tear is expected. But fast forward a few months -- the noise got worse, so I took my car in for a second opinion. That's when I was told my transmission fluid was 2 quarts short -- on a system that only holds 8 quarts. That's a 25% shortage. Not something small you could chalk up to a minor oversight. Driving that long with low fluid apparently causes extra wear on the transmission pump and other internal components. Now I'm facing more diagnostics, more repairs, and more cost. This is all very disappointing. I genuinely don't know if this was a one-off experience, since so many others seem to have had great service here. But [[HIGHLIGHT]]I never got a call back after leaving a message asking for clarification, which adds to the frustration.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're getting major work done, especially something like a transmission service -- trust your instincts and consider getting a second opinion. I've had a series of misfortunes in the last year. Every time I went to M&N and although they laughed at me, (who wouldn't?) I got great service, both under tire warranty and not. They are also able to say "I don't know", and not "no problem..." Man's got to know his limitations. Maybe I need to check my night vision. read more

I will give -1 star if yelp has this option Very dirty shop!!! They put a nail in my left front tire after they did an oil change! I saw the tire pressure light on when I picked up the vehicle yesterday. I thought it was ok since they added air to my car, so I reset the light, and it went away. Today when I parked my car, I saw the nail on the side wall of the front tire of my car, I understand now why the light was on the moment when I drove off the shop. The put a nail to the side wall!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I contacted the shop today but they refused to admit it's their fault and keep saying if it can't be fix then I have to buy a new tire!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My car was totally fine, no nail in any tire, no pressure light when I drove to shop before the oil change. Very dirty shop!! Stay away at all cost!!!! Cheap shop!!!! Update today 7/24/2024: [[HIGHLIGHT]]Owner left me a message which has only his phone number and asked me to call back. I called back, went to voicemail. M and N were very responsive to yelp messages and answered all my questions including giving multiple quotes for various tires. Once I decided to have them replace my tires I was able to get a same day apt and get the tires installed in an hour and half. They are also conveniently located in Danville. The only small thing is they did not inflate my tires to the correct amount for my car. read more

Needed a tire that went flat replaced on the same day. It was done mid afternoon with the same tire brand and model.

Oscar was very thorough in asking about the vehicle details, to provide me the right estimate for the brake pads and rotors work. The check engine light was on, he went over the history and there was a code for the master control. So he suggested to take the car to the dealer to see if a software upgrade is needed, and also if the MC is faulty then the errors codes that come up later might be a false alarm.
