I got transferred to wheel work in San Leandro location due to closure for Wheel work in San Lorenzo. I did not feel welcome at San Leandro... At ther the inspection, thing that bother me was, the technician didn't turn off the 'inspection due' light and did not even inform me. When I went back to ask, one of the technician said oh he had a hard time and his machine didn't function properly. Well maybe letting your customer know at least.... After the visit in San Leandro, I went to do coolant flush at Wheel work in Dublin instead and the experience was much nicer. This review is only based on the service I received. I pulled up because I had a tire acting up and I filled it with air but it once again lost air less than a week later. I went in to find 2 young guys working the counter, which I later found thier names to be Luka and Ben. Ben was the one that I interacted with the most and he took a look at my tires and assessed the issues. Now I will say that the price they quoted me seemed higher than normal, granted I have some EV tires that costed more, but it did still seem excessive. I opted to pass because I think Costco has tires for much less but he still sent me out to have Luka check all the tire pressure and made sure I was safe to drive home. I just appreciate the kind service because I've run into some young gentleman Z'rs that just never seem to care and for a guy that thinks customer service is dying, they gave me hope. read more

I had brought my car for two tires . I had made an appointment in the morning for an afternoon appointment on a weekday . The employee had called me to come in earlier . I was able to take the car in an hour and half earlier than my appointment. At the end , It took 4.5 hours to get two wheels on my car. I was told it would be 2 hours. The employee called me at the time it was suppose to be done to say they just got an update on my car. An hour later the car was done . It should not take 4.5 hours on a weekday morning to get two tires ! Especially, I was told to bring it earlier than my appointment. I would expect to be earlier to be repaired when you tell me to bring in my car for the tires . read more

Got an oil change done Friday, was informed only of needing a battery replacement. On invoice it only says battery replacement required. Get in my car this morning and find that your team didn't fully secure the undercarriage from servicing. Instead of apologizing your front desk kid decided to argue and provided paperwork stating screws were missing on the report - which was A. Never given to us B. I believe it to be doctored after I called this morning for them to correct their work. On my invoice which I am more than happy to proved, NO WHERE states screws / fasteners are missing. Beyond terrible customer service, not to mention Friday we had a 1pm appointment and it took over 2hrs for a simple oil change... read more

Had a appointment for 12pm on a Sunday..just for a flat tire patch. I'm very sympathetic when it comes to being short staffed. But I brought my car in at 11:30...they said hopefully by 1:30z I said fine whatever. Got here at 1;45 and my car is still on the lift and not seeing anyone working..'Mind you there price is $30 to patch a tire..not cheap. And I have to go through this. This location has been extremely disappointing and I feel compelled to escalate this issue. Appointment Process: The online appointment system is completely unreliable. The available time slots shown online do not match the actual availability at the location. Customers are essentially set up for failure. It is pointless to book online--calling the store directly is the only way to get accurate information. Service Experience: I originally booked an 11 AM appointment online. Fortunately, I called the store at 7:30 AM and learned that the online schedule was incorrect, forcing me to move my appointment to 3 PM because no earlier slots were actually available. I arrived at 2:15 PM, purchased the lifetime alignment service, and dropped off my vehicle. I was told the estimated completion time would be around 5:30 PM. However, when I checked in at 5 PM, my car had not even been touched. I was then told they were running behind and it would be done by 6 PM. Despite waiting in the store, at 5:50 PM my car was still sitting in the parking lot. After speaking with the front desk again, I was informed the new ETA would be another 45-60 minutes. At no point did anyone proactively notify me of these delays, nor did anyone show any concern or accountability for the poor service. At this stage, I completely lost trust in their ability to handle my vehicle or honor their commitments. Frustrated and after wasting over four hours of my time, I cancelled the service and left. I will not be returning to the Dublin location under any circumstances. This level of disorganization and disregard for customers is unacceptable. My Tesla had an incident that caused the rear underneath that cover the power train sagged down, and the wind effects made the rear bumper off from its clips. The car is unsafe to drive in the freeway. Unfortunately I need to drive back home in Southern California. First I met Raoul l, the service manager, he recommended me to bring the car to Tesla service. Over there, Tesla service want me to leave the car for complete repairs and evaluation. If I go through insurance and Tesla service it can take up to 3 weeks. All I need is temporary fix so I can drive home and take care the repair afterward. I brought the car back to the Wheel Works shop to see what can be done. After investigating, Raoul and his assistant decided to remove the flap cover. The job took them a good half an hour. When asking for the cost, Raoul just showed the hand signal and stated that it was not a big deal and do his sameritan deeds for free. I was shocked and cannot believe there are still existing some great car service business nowadays. The sprit of Christmas 2025 and full of Love is with the Wheel Works shop. This location of wheel works it has fatality is top 10 and some they are so humble and attentive why not keep going back over there and I wreck highly recommend them totally because my car broke down cuz of the alternator treated myself for a car only had it for 3 weeks and the alternator went out but I went to wheel works they totally helped me because the nut of will was stuck wheel works took the luk nut out and replaced it they did an excellent job helping me and even offered if I need help and plus instead of costing a hundred bucks for them to take the wheels off they instead of charging me $100 they only charged me $50 so they're there hospitality is excellent personality great the way they do customer service I would highly recommend people to go over there if they need any help when you're car is not working the way should be wheel works has empathy and compassion understanding is beautiful when people have empathy compassion understanding that the alternator need to be replaced so if you ever need any parts or tires to be changed or anything to do with the engine they're the right people to go to in Dublin California read more

I ended up with a nail in my tire and there isn't even a slot in the front door to drop my car key. This place lost my business just like that. I went to Wheel Works to have both my tires and Brakes evaluated and replaced, as a few days earlier my dealership reported all four tires and brake pads /rotors needed to be replaced/resurfaced. Being the skeptic I am ( and not wanting to be gouged by dealership pricing), I sought out a second opinion at Wheel Works. Needless to say it was a rather odd experience to say the least. After dropping my car off at my scheduled appointment time on a Wednesday morning - 8am), I eventually received around 3:30pm that afternoon heading that my car would not get looked at until the next day ( which apparently was a combination of a delay in getting new tires delivered to the store and apparent overbooking of appointments that day, from what I deduced after speaking to a few of the techs). OK, shit happens. The next day I did get a notification around 8:30 a.m. of my car starting to be worked on. Progress! By 1:30 p.m. I had not heard back about the status of my car. Instead of calling and being immediately put on hold as I was the day before, I decided to head over to the shop on our spare car. As I pulled into the parking lot, Not only was my car sitting out there, but the New tires were already replaced! After heading into the store to check on what the status of my car was, no one really seemed to know. Inevitably, discovered the paperwork was not filed correctly, hence I never got a call about the completion of my car :/ Finally, after making payment, I asked about the status of the brakes that I asked them to check when doing my wheels. It was apparent they really didn't check them and just gave them the thumbs up to get me out the door.. however, what really pushed me over the edge was the fact that they reported my oil was due for a change ( after it was supposedly changed just a few days earlier by the dealership)!!! At this juncture, I wasn't trusting either the dealership or Wheel Works about the status of my brakes ( I double checked the oil myself when I got home and it was perfectly clean).. I decided to head on over to Big O Tires and get a third opinion about my brakes. Turns out my rear brakes were perfectly fine, but my front pads and rotors were just at the precipice of needing to be replaced. In the end, I'll probably not be doing any more oil changes at my dealership, nor will I be doing any sort of Tire Replacements at Wheel Works in the future. I scheduled a wheel alignment which they did, I think. The problem is they took my car on a test drive before they did anything to the car. Came back and put the car on the lift. After they did the alignment the manager tells me then couldn't fix the issue with the car because it needs a rack and opinion then charges me $150 for the alignment. My issue is why didn't he tell me something else was wrong with my car instead so I could get that repaired before then alignment? Now I will have to get that part replaced and pay another $150 for an alignment again. As an honest business owner and customer this is not the way to go about business. Went in for an oil change and noticed the car was leaking oil after a few weeks. The car register there was only a quart of oil left after only driving less than 200 miles. Took it to a different mechanic and was told the drain plug was damaged. They couldn't tighten it and I had to order a new one. read more

i have reviewed before and will state again, that after 20+ years of dealing with this business they have never let us down. they are very accurate and proper with their work and do it at affordable prices. they don't try to do unnecessary things like dealerships will try to get you to do. the work has always been excellent. you can certainly feel safe with them even if you don't know much about cars and fixing them. I am a bit puzzled by the many one star reviews posted, and cannot understand why. makes me wonder if they are authentic because i have never experienced any of the things mentioned in them. read more

I dropped my car off at 10am, for a nail repair in the tire. I even asked if I needed new front tires? The initial staff member said, "I should be fine for 5000miles." Then, I didn't get a call for 6 hours and when I called they said, "Oh, you're next in line." When I dropped it off there was only one person and/or car at the shop. They FINALLY call me back 45min before they close and NOW they "Recommend" 2 new front tires?!? If I could give them a ZERO star rating for this visit I would. I've been going here for YEARS!!!! Water pump and thermostat housing replaced on my car, I looked up the exact part numbers of these parts online and over 100% markups on the prices of the parts. I called to ask about it and they just tell me they have no control of the prices in the system. Bad business so I'll be taking my business elsewhere. She is the hardest working employee I have ever experienced at this location. I have observed her multiple times, and after this visit, just felt I needed to give her a shout out for being an EXCEPTIONAL EMPLOYEE. She is courteous to all (even on the phone), A WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE, does an EXCELLENT job of keeping you informed on the progress of the work, juggles MANY customers and tasks at once, and does her job in such an OUTSTANDING way that I have never witnessed before. She is the heart of the smooth operation at this location. If it were up to me, she'd get a HUGE RAISE!! My girlfriend got a nail in her tire which is what prompted us to go to Dublin Wheel Works. She went in with the intentions of just having the tire patched, unfortunately she had some "cracking" according to the representative on the side of the tire and they said they would not repair it. I found that odd as the tires are only 3 years old and her car gets to sleep in the garage, not to mention I have never seen cracking on any of the tires. They definitely got her on the up-sale of the tire as she paid $400 FOR ONE (that is a story for a different day as I am still upset about this.) She was asked to leave her vehicle there overnight so they could have the tire replaced. She picked up her Rav 4 are started to drive home. No more than 10 minutes removed from the store, she calls me on the verge of tears saying that the car is making weird loud clunking noises and asks for help. After I arrive, she is MISSING not 1 but 2 lug nuts!! NOT GOOD!! I checked the remaining 8 lug nuts that were still on the car; 2 more of the lugs were LOOSE! A very clear indication that 4 out of the 10 lug nuts were not tightened to spec (as 2 are missing and 2 could be turned with my fingers). I am extremely upset about this situation as it shows a clear negligence on the part of ALL representatives who put hands on her car. I hope this experience saves others from what could have been an absolute disaster! More importantly, I hope this prompts Wheel Works to push their employees to do the job CORRECTLY and double check their work. Severely disappointed :( read more

Our appointment was at 3 but they waited until the end of day to tell us they wouldn't be able to patch the tire around 5:30. If they would have told us sooner, we would have taken it somewhere else but im sure this is part of their scam to force people into not having another choice but go with them. They wouldn't change one tire for us because they wanted us to buy all 4 tires when we only needed one replaced. Car had a blow out next to Ashley Home - was around 530pm. By the time I got to arranging a tow it was 550. Called Wheel Works (less than a block away) - no answer. Figured I'd go over. One guy in reception ignoring the phone. Asked if they have a drop box as my car wont get here until after 6. "No we dont" - clear answer. No desire to get this business from me and I'm on your doorstop. Called America's Tire and although they also close at 6, Morgan over there told me to try to get there asap so they can help. Needless to say, car was towed to America's Tire @6450 Dublin Blvd and they totally took care of me - 4 new tires fitted and done the next day. I have a 1:00 pm appointment, so it was my first time in this location. It seems so busy, Benny (the guy at the front) helping customers by himself, the phone was constantly ringing and 3-4 people were next in line. It's pretty overwhelming for him, but I stood there patiently until it was my turn. He said they were under staff, and I do understand that. He seems friendly and very helpful, and knowledgeable. I came here for an oil change for my car; I had a lot of time on my hand, so I wouldn't mind waiting. I saw my car getting the work on right away. I felt better when the friendly mechanic completed my vehicle in less than an hour. Awesome! I felt at ease and happy to get my car serviced. Also, the mechanic even took his time to put a label tag for the following oil change. No other place does that anymore, except for this place. You got yourself a loyal customer. read more
